The cottage was spotless and cute, however, the beds were so firm it was hard to sleep. The gas grill was filthy and would not start, the ice maker did not work. We could not get the hot water in one of the bathroom vanities working so we just used the one bathroom. Of a six night stay, we stayed only 2, making this rental our most expensive ever! We notified the host we had decided to leave after our short stay and let her know why, knowing that fixing the issues would be important for future guests. Heather stated, after several messages, that she had never had a complaint about the beds but got new foam toppers, added ice trays, stated the hot water was fine and never addressed the gas grill. Heather also stated that if we would have let her know, she would have addressed the issues during our stay. I suggested that having repairs and deliveries during our stay defeats the purpose of being on vacation and that the responsibility of making sure their property is as advertised is on them. Oh well. Would not stay there again because of the way the host corresponded with me, saying the hot water was fine, and the ring of water I saw around the toilet indicating a possible leak was not there and that she had never gotten a complaint before.
