With plenty of privacy and common area space for everyone to enjoy, you and your large group are sure to find serenity at this secluded slice of heaven on the banks of the Deerskin River. Prepare anything from quick snacks to full-course dinners in the well-equipped chef's kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and an attached breakfast bar. Dine together at the large table for eight, or take your meals outside to the furnished, wrap-around deck. This home also features a comfortable living area warmed by a wood-burning fireplace, central air conditioning to keep you comfortable all summer, an outdoor firepit, and a private dock on the river.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Bachelorette Weekend

This was the perfect home for us to celebrate with a large group! Spacious, well equipped home. Cozy and charming atmosphere. Beautiful property, wrap around deck and fire pit area outdoors too! Close proximity to Downtown Eagle River. One the water with a nice staircase going part way down to channel.

Great cabin near the lake

Had a wonderful time in this cabin. Booked when the colors were peak and the surrounding forests were amazing. The access to the river and option of kayaking/canoeing were kids favorites.

Spacious home, beautiful wooded views

The home is very spacious- plenty of room for everyone to sleep. We rented a boat and docked it at the home's pier - very convenient. No lake views, but beautiful views of the woods. Easy drive to town and local restaurants.

A great getaway

We rented this home for our group of 8 adult couples. The kitchen was well appointed and there was plenty of room for all of us to move around without getting in each other's way. We had a great weather weekend so we spent lots of time by the fireplace. Vacasa is a great company to work with.

Wonderful stay!

My whole family loved our stay at Ishkode Chalet! We had 11 people staying for 6 days. There was plenty of room to spend time together and apart. The furniture was very comfortable. We were impressed with the quality of the furnishings and the obvious thoughtfulness that went into the home. Laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, garbage bags, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, paper towels, and toilet paper were all provided. There was plenty of parking (we had 4 vehicles and easily could have fit a lot more). As many other reviewers mentioned, the hill down to the lake was quite steep. We were all able to navigate it, but a few people slid on the gravel and fell- just be aware if anybody in your group struggles with mobility. We had 2 dogs in our group and the home had dog beds and dog bowls. I would highly recommend this home for families or other larger groups. We would love to stay again next time we’re visiting Eagle River!

We had a great family vacation here. Beautiful area. The walk down to the dock is a bit challenging. Stairs are being constructed but not done currently.

House was great! Kitchen had everything. Air Conditioner upstairs was broke and did not get fixed during our visit. Big hill to water, better pictures could be provided. Took 10 minutes to get out of channel to the Main Lakes.

Scattering Rice Getaway

The house is fantastic! New appliances and great floor plan for four bedrooms. We had four families with teenage and college age kids. Deck, dock (we had three boats) and fire pit are great. The only complaint is the walk from the house to the dock. If you have toddlers or grandparents with you this is going to be an issue.

Great Experience

This cabin was perfect for our group of 15. The house was heated on arrival and the driveway plowed (it had been snowing most of the day). The kitchen was perfect for prepping all the meals for our large group. Plenty of appliances, utensils, dishes, and cookware. Dining seating was sufficient for our groups needs and a lot of large seating areas to interact, play games, or just sit and read. Bedrooms were comfortable and nicely furnished. Due to weather we did not get outdoors, but what we could see of the property, it was a beautiful setting. We would use this cabin again and recommend it to others.

Great home with room for everyone

We booked this home planning for a larger group, and there is certainly room for everyone. Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, we were only a group of four adults. But we still had a great time. The house was extremely clean with a well stocked kitchen (though we couldn't find the salt and pepper!). The only downside is the access to the river - very steep and not very convenient. So we were unable to take advantage of the water, somewhat disappointing. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

Beautiful House, could be better though!

The house itself is beautiful and has mostly everything you need. There are tons of dishes,pots,pans, serve ware, etc in the kitchen. You can tell though they don’t clean the stuff that isn’t used often though so make sure to clean dishes before using. That’s the only downfall about having everything you could need in a kitchen. The house was not cleaned the best before we got there, the coffee table was clearly not moved when they vacuumed and we found crumbs and old orange slices under it, spiders and webs on multiple ceilings (could have easily just been dusted before we got there), sticky (soda spill) on the basement floor, dirty/moldy shower curtain liner upstairs that could easily be replaced. These things aren’t the worse just things you don’t want to have to clean when on vacation. We had to replace several light bulbs right when we got there, had to vacuum, clean up sticky floor, etc. We brought brats to grill but did not have access to the grill (in the garage your not allowed to go in). I messaged Vacasa and they said they would reach out to local management, never heard back about it. On the last day (checkout day) we had to leave by 10, and it was icy/snowy. I remembered I got an email earlier saying you could request late checkout and it did not say you had to do that at a certain day or time so I messaged Vacasa to request that. Apparently you have to request that the day before by either 4pm or 10pm (got both answers when talking to Vacasa rep). Also heads up and maybe people would know this but we didn’t that you have to bring/buy your own wood for the wood burning fireplace. There was some by the garage but was wet so wouldn’t burn well. We just went to town to the gas station and got about 6 bundles. Overall I liked the house just the management company that cleans and deals with the customer service was the bad experience. I probably won’t be rent a Vacasa property again.

Big home to accommodate a lot of people.

This home was very nice and accommodated our large family gathering with lots of room for the littles to play. The kitchen was large and had enough of everything that we didn't need to bring any large pans or crock pots to cook. A few items we weren't aware of. There is a steep hill that accesses the water. The owners are installing a staircase but it was not completed. It would be hard for someone with mobility issues to get to the water. There are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor that are NOT air conditioned. This was not in the listing. We were lucky that the weather was 75 or lower during our stay as it still got warm upstairs. The owners had a new portable A/C unit upstairs but it was not installed. We read through the instructions and it is meant to be installed on a double hung or slider style window, which there are none of on the 2nd floor. The second floor bathroom shower doors barely slide and the tub drains extremely slow. We would stay again, but not until there is A/C on the 2nd floor.

Family Reunion Vacation

We had four families all stay together for a week of fun! The property and house were amazing! The kitchen had everything you could need. You can tell they are working on updating the house and are doing a great job! Plenty of towels for everyone. Once the upstairs bathroom and the outside stairs are finished this place is going to be truly amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Family summer getaway 2022

Very nice property and location. However, it needs a some improvements asap to get a 5. The upstairs bathroom is in terrible condition especially for the nightly rate we paid. The shower upstairs also didn’t drain properly so you had to shower quickly or deal with water to your ankles. The house also lacked adequate supplies of toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwasher pods, and cleaning supplies especially for a four bedroom property. When the stairs to the lake are finished that will help too since getting down to the river was difficult for some.

Winter Getaway

Very nice property with plenty of room for our large group. Kitchen and other areas fully furnished and place was very clean. Driveway was level with plenty of room for many vehicles. Worked our well for our ice fishing and snowmobiling getaway.

Great location and spacious property

This property was perfect for our family. Large rooms and 3 levels, plus the amazing kitchen. The people managing this property were available all the time I needed to reach them and their service was excellent. I would definitely love to come back next time .
