The cottage was very clean and well appointed! Cozy and relaxing with the bay mere steps away! We enjoyed the beach and the fishing was good. Great communications with Missy, checkin and checkout were a breeze. We will consider this cottage for our annual trip next year. We highly recommend staying at Bay Side Retreat!

Perfect place for a bay getaway! Missy's cottage is clean, bright, and in a wonderful location for just chilling and watching the waves. The weather was blustery during our visit but it didn't dull our experience at all. Excellent communication and all of the amenities you could wish for.Thank you, Missy!!

If seclusion is what you are looking for this is the spot. Quiet peaceful oasis. The sunrise and sunset do not disappoint here.

this is a lovely cabin with lovely views and beach access our only complaint is tht at 506.00 a night and we had to take care of disposing of our own trash, this should of been taken care of by the cleaners of the cabin not the guest!!

Thank you for the kind words, I wish you would have asked, the cleaner would have gladly taken the trash for you since you were only there 2 days. I do not like to keep trash cans sitting around for lots of reasons, but mostly due to getting smelly and infested fast with the heat. I will consider this though for the future. Thank you Missy

The Bay Side Retreat has quickly become one of our family's favorite places. We've stayed three times and are already looking forward to our next stay. Missy's communication is excellent throughout the booking process and stay. The home is cozy, clean, and the perfect place for our family to unwind and spend quality time together. The new retaining wall and deck are lovely additions that will hopefully keep this slice of Heaven here for many years to come. There is nothing like waking up in the morning and sipping a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise over the Bay and listening to the gentle waves.

Great location on the beach with a beautiful deck and screened in porch. Owner was super communicative and helpful. Only negatives were the spotty wireless connection and beds were uncomfortable. Other than that, cute property.

This place is perfect for a couple or small family looking for a beach-side getaway. The house is literally right on the Chesapeake. The furniture is abundant, and all extremely comfortable. The kitchen is very well-stocked with all the things you probably forgot. And Missy is a first-class host: her communication is clear and extensive, and she has a website set up to help vacationers navigate At Mary's County with confidence. We will definitely stay here again.

We traveled with two young kids, and this house was perfect for our family! The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views were absolutely amazing! The sand was literally just a step off the porch, which made beach days so easy with little ones. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing while the kids napped or enjoying the evenings. Grabbing takeout or going out for food was also easy, with plenty of options within a 15–30 minute drive. Missy was a wonderful host and communicated with us throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this home to anyone!

This is the 2nd year I’ve rented this home on the Chesapeake, and I’ll definitely be back! Missy has thought of every comfort and convenience! The home is clean, spotless, bright and welcoming! The kitchen has all you’d ever need! The view is breathtaking; I was up every morning before sunrise to welcome the gorgeous day, and get out on the beach to see what the latest high tide brought in! The screened porch is my favorite viewing place, and this year Missy has added a deck in front of the screened porch which is wonderful! I really can’t recommend this perfect cottage too much!!!

Our family of five had a magical week at Missy’s charming cottage on the bay! Highlights for us were the incredible view, gorgeous beach, and proximity to an excellent crabbing spot. The cottage was spotless, comfortable and well-appointed with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Missy was an excellent and gracious host, quick to help us out when I accidentally misplaced the entry instructions upon arrival. Highly recommend, and already looking forward to our next stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house cottage in Southern Maryland. The home was very clean, family-friendly, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The host was kind, responsive, and very easy to work with throughout the entire stay.One of our favorite parts was sitting on the back porch each morning watching the beautiful sunrise over the water. It made for such a peaceful and memorable experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families looking for a quiet getaway.

Relaxing Stay in a Perfect Location! Before we arrived, Missy was so helpful and provided a lot of information about our stay. After arriving, we loved the cottage and its Frontline view of the bay. The sound of the waves was relaxing and we spent a lot of time on the back deck just enjoying them and the view. The cottage has everything you could need for your stay. Check in was easy and check out was as well. No complaints!
