The property is gorgeous! Plenty of space for activities - cooking, playing, swimming, etc! The house was clean and well stocked.

The host was very helpful, and the location was perfect for a quiet reset. The neighbors were all very friendly and made my trip feel like home away from home. The kitchen was amazing and the entire place had a perfect flow for relaxing. I look forward to my next stay!

Everything was great but be prepared to take about 20 minutes to get to the end of the one lane road the property is on. Shonntay was the best customer help in every way. Big thank you.

Great week at the lake

We had a great week staying at this cottage on Cayuga Lake. The house was clean, renter-friendly, and in an ideal location. The house is very dog friendly thanks to the fenced in yard & deck and the nice beach along the lake.

It was so great to be so close to the water and hear the waves crash against the shore. Also the three front sliding glass doors leading to the wrap around front deck were a wonderful feature. Check-in was easy and kitchen was awesome. Could have used some plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Loved the on-suite large bathroom part of the master bedroom. Highly recommend this cottage.

Great location. Right on the lake. Jetty and beach. Property is in good condition. Everything you need is there. Our dog loved swimming everyday. Quite location. Note 2bmile drive on single track 10mph road to get there. Not a problem, but be aware.

The house was quiet and peaceful. Our only concern was the propane grill was dirty and didn't appear safe, so we never used it. All other features were quite nice.

We had a very good time here despite rain showers and the long slow access road along the lake. This spot is far enough north from Ithaca and Lansing to the south that boat traffic is reduced. Weekdays were most quiet with most noise on Saturday. The interior was very clean and there were numerous comfortable places to lounge around or sit at, with a long deck. The master bed and bath were very nice as was fully appointed kitchen. Guest shower-only was kinda cramped but okay. Outside wasn't the greatest, but acceptable. Very nice to have a little beach with fire pit. Bring beach shoes, since bottom is rounded shale fragments with zebra mussel shells that can be sharp. There was a thin BG algae bloom on the day we arrived that kept us from swimming, though it was gone on remaining days. The dock wasn't much, though recently repaired. If I had plans to tie up a boat, it would be less than ideal with overgrown vegetation and no cleats; however, a mooring buoy off from the shore would work well for sailboats. A small patch of poison ivy was growing next to the concrete slab by the parking area. I think we never communicated with the owner, but rather the cleaning agency person, if I'm not mistaken. But no place is perfect and it suited our needs just fine!

Peaceful time by the lake

You can’t get any closer to the lake unless you are on a boat. From inside the comfortable, well stocked home it DID look like we were on the water.We enjoyed watching beautiful sunsets 3 of the 4 nights of our stay.It was quiet and people were friendly.One thing that can’t be overlooked is that there is a 2 mile 10 mph one lane road (with pull offs) off the main road to get to the property. Since we were on vacation we just enjoyed looking at all the other properties along the drive.

My friends and I had a great stay. Everything was in good working condition, most importantly the AC as the weekend we stayed saw Temps in the mid 90's. Aurora brewing is 15 minutes down the road and is an excellent place to grab a nice ipa and some food. Aurora would only be 2 minutes down the road but the location of the house is on a very long single lane road with a 10 mph limit and frequent pullovers for vehicles coming the opposite direction which is the only drawback to the location. Otherwise, amazing views and great to be right on the waters edge!

This place was clean, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was equipped for what we needed it for. The front porch, which overlooked Lake Cayuga was so nice to sit there for our morning coffee and in the evening to watch the sun go down. The host was great to work with and very quick in responding to any question we had. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. The only thing would be the street took forever to get off it since it was a few miles long and only one car could get through at a time (at only 10 miles per hour). We did also enjoy the firepit one evening for s'mores, which was so nice. Would have loved to go kayaking on the lake but the place that rented them was not delivering when we were there. But, would definitely return!

Nice views from the porch and open windows to watch the lake activities. Walk in access to the lake that was refreshing and clean. The home was clean and kitchens had essentials. Have to be patient for the trip down to the home on one way road, 20-30 min drive. If bringing a pet the fenced in yard is small and one gate is low that an athletic or larger dog could easily go over.

Beautiful porch facing the lake and wonderful sunsets. The road in and out is cumbersome but worth it. Everything I could need was here to cook and clean with. Loved every minute. Hope to come back.We rented kayaks and fished a little. Thanks for this wonderful stay

Best host ever! So communicative and accommodating. We misunderstood the listing and thought there was an actual dog run. There is not, but there is a yard for the dog. The house is absolutely, 100% laid out perfectly to enjoy the lake views. The tiny beach is so perfect for wading into the water. The house is outfitted like no other rental we have ever experienced. We not only wanted for nothing, we were thrilled with all of the "home" extras. Just perfect! The beds are absolutely acceptable, and the sheets are divine. The living room furniture is older but still perfect for the home. The house sleeps 8, and there are more than adequate place settings, glassware, outside chairs and inside seating for 8 guests. The AC works well, the kitchen appliances are some new, some older, but all working great.The deck/porch is phenomenal. Just the best for morning coffee, afternoon sunning, sunset viewing, and star gazing. The 10mph drive down Honoco Rd, to get to the house (which is midway) is long, but the house is so worth it, the only reason we mention it, is so you know

An incredible get away. Extremely quit with lake front views. Home was much bigger than we thought and was very well maintained. We enjoyed the solitude of all that the finger lakes brings and found this gem to be well worth the cost.
