We desperately needed a few days off from work and life and found this charming destination and booked it. Lovely, clean, well thought out with all of the little things and we were able to bring our dogs so we could all go wine tasting or hiking in the local parks. Close enough to everything but far enough away. Can't wait to go back!

This is such a beautiful and secluded property and we enjoyed our stay very much! We had no issues during our stay and enjoyed the amenities including the beautiful and easy to use fireplace. The view from the back porch is so serene and offered a much needed escape for us! Very close to the wine trail and hiking opportunities!

The only downside to our stay at Voorheis Vistas was that we had only stayed 2 nights! The house was the perfect size for 6 adults and a small dog. We loved waking up to incredible sunrises and ending the days curled up in front of the warm fireplace. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived and was more well stocked (things like dish soap, laundry detergent, olive oil, etc) than many other places we have stayed. Communication with the host was quick and easy, especially when we had to bring our dog along at the last minute. We are already making plans to return!!

Great view, clean house, enough amenities to accomplish whatever you desire. Clean direction, easy check-in process. Kitchen was more than enough to do anything you desire.BBQ grill was great as well.But the view was the star.

The house was absolutely beautiful. The back porch was the highlight of our trip. It is in a great location between the lakes. The house was clean and well decorated. The only complaint we have was one of the guest beds downstairs was not comfortable to sleep on (closest to the living room). Otherwise we would stay again!

We had a fantastic stay at Voorheis Vista for a nice five night getaway. The home was immaculate, and check-in/out was a breeze. Sitting on the covered porch watching the animals or thunderstorms in the distance was peaceful and refreshing. It was close enough to the action of Watkins Glen and Ithaca, but far enough away to provide a chance to just unwind. If I’m ever in the area again, this would certainly be on the list of places I’d look at staying.

This home was perfect for our visit to the beautiful Finger Lakes region. The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It is well stocked with coffee, spices, and plenty of dishes, pots, pans, etc. The view was spectacular.

This place was great, and perfect for our stay in the finger lakes! It’s out in the country, but close enough to everything we wanted to do. Beautiful scenery everywhere you looked, and we especially liked the back porch. So peaceful here!And perfect for our small dog too. He loved the big fenced in back yard.We had an issue with the front door when we first got there, and I messaged Cate, and her and her husband came down right away and fixed the problem.If you are thinking about renting this place, do it, you won’t be sorry.We will definitely be back again soon!

Wonderful place

Loved the location, in the country, open to see sun sets and sun rises! Peaceful, and the fire flies, oh, the fire flies were just amazing, every night! Close to much hiking and state parks. House was clean and was fitted to cook meals. Good seating and relaxing.

We stayed for a week, & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Entry was easy using the provided instructions. The house is new, in excellent condition, and kept very clean. We were four guests plus a dog and had plenty of room to spread out, relax and enjoy ourselves. Master bed & both were spacious. Seating in the living room is extremely comfortable, and the dining room table was perfect for meals and board games. All of the appliances we used worked well. The fenced in yard was perfect to allow the dog to run loose; house is very pet-friendly.The house is approx equal distance from Ithaca (20min) and Watkins Glen (15min). The area has fantastic waterfalls & parks that are well worth exploring, including Watkins Glen State Park, Buttermilk, Taughannock Falls, Robert Treman, and even Eagle Cliff Falls. Also take time to explore the Botanic Gardens and Arboretum at Cornell.We enjoyed a market on Main St. in Trumansburg for lunch. For dinner a pit BBQ in Watkins Glen, and an Italian restaurant on E. Seneca in Ithaca. Great house-made ice cream at the university’s Dairy Bar and on Cascadilla St.The house was hosted by Cate, who took great care of us. She communicated quickly and clearly, answering all of our questions. And she even raced over in 15 minutes when the batteries in the digital door lock had run too low to let us in.The house in out in lovely & scenic farm country, which you get to see on the way to town.
