Great for family gatherings. Enjoyed biking rafting swimming walking and sightseeing. So much to do here.

Everything was great. He had 11 people from ages 3 to 65. There’s something for everyone to do in Sun River.

Best Place to Stay

Wonderful home with all the amenities you could possibly ever want on a vacation with friends and family! The outdoor opportunities are endless no matter the time of year. I could not recommend a better place to stay at! You won't be disappointed!

Fabulous and Well Stocked

What a fabulous home for our family! We had plenty of room to relax and enjoy the space while also having so much fun playing some pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and splashing around in the Caldera Springs pool. The kitchen was fully stocked and perfect for our needs. We can't wait to come back!

Amazing Home!

Wow, what an amazing home! We had an absolute blast using all the amenities. From the pool table to hot tub, we couldn’t get enough. The home was warm, spacious, and a great location. We used the local pool, had coffee in the mornings around the fire pit, and went to float down the river! This house is family friendly and we cannot wait to come back again next year!

Everything and more!

We had an incredible time @ Elk Run! The house is absolutely gorgeous. We had everything we needed and more. We cooked some amazing meals in the gourmet kitchen, relaxed in the outdoor hot tub, played pool, took an infrared sauna and lounged by the outdoor firepit. Our family was so comfortable and will definitely be coming back.

An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration!

We booked this home for my daughter’s 30th birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, it felt welcoming and special. The house was beautifully maintained, spacious, and had everything we needed to make the weekend memorable. We laughed, celebrated, and truly felt at home. It was the perfect setting for such an important milestone, and we’ll cherish these memories forever. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that feels both luxurious and comfortable!

Best Family Vacation!

We had the best family vacation at Elk Run Retreat. Not only is the house absolutely beautiful and cozy, there was something for everyone! The kids absolutely loved the movie and game room, and also enjoyed the outdoor area for exploring. Us adults obviously enjoyed everything else. The kitchen is fabulous and was great for cooking and the extra fridge came in clutch for food and drink overflow. We also loved the large gorgeous dining room table for us all to sit around for meals and games. The real shining star for both kids and adults was the oversized hot tub! Even in the heat it got a ton of use. I can imagine it'll be amazing in the snow. Obviously all the extra amenities and activities that Sun River provides are great for adult, kids or family fun. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for providing such a wonderful relaxing home for the whole family.

Like a dream

Like the title says, staying at this place was like being in a dream. Our extended family stayed here (3 generations totaling 11 people) and we never felt crowded. Large gathering spaces in every area of the house made it so easy to be together. The furnishings are all very tasteful and the appliance state of the art. When it’s time to eat there are multiple restaurants just a few minutes away or a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare a meal and feed a large group comfortably. We most loved the patio with its incredible privacy and a hot tub that could second as a pool! We could each either grab a space and relax alone or as a group, enjoy a game of pool in the game room, or a movie in the theatre upstairs. The only way to improve it would be to provide a fully stocked bar… since it seems to have everything else! We wouldn’t consider staying anyplace else.

Fantastic!

What an amazing place! Elk Run Retreat manages to balance luxury with making one feel at home the moment you step inside. Everything was perfect and the owners have thoughtfully equipped the place so you can start enjoying all Caldera has to offer. This quiet getaway has so much to offer. We made use of the community swimming pool and the pickleball courts; went biking through nearby Sun River; rafted down the Little Deschutes; and hiked to the nearby waterfall. After all these adventures, it was so nice to come back to such a lovely house! We especially loved making dinner in the incredible kitchen and then eating it on the huge back patio, followed by a soak in the enormous jacuzzi. Although we never wanted the days to end, the evenings turned out to be just as fun. Playing pool in the upstairs game room or watching a movie in the theater room made us feel like we must have won the lottery😁. When we couldn’t stay awake any longer, knowing the comfortable beds awaited made it way less painful to say goodnight. I should also mention the incredible bathrooms too! Super state of the art with modern surprises we had never seen before. We came to the conclusion that the owners must have had all these cool ideas stored up in their minds and then just went for it! All in all, we had an absolutely wonderful time and want to thank you for creating such a magical place!

Beautiful property, clean with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Our group loved the Quary pool, huge hot tub and sauna.
