Wow! Even the photos do not do this property justice. It is gorgeous, impeccable and comfortable. The sauna was a delight to use and so easy to start. I kayaked every morning and most of the time had to lake to myself. What was my biggest surprise was how mesmerizing and haunting the loons are. There were even babies that would ride in the parents back. We will definitely return.

This beautiful home and property are a must if you are looking to stay in the north woods! They have thought of all details to make your stay so comfortable. The location is fantastic with access to so much to do and see. The house is immensely stocked with anything you could want in the kitchen, the game room is a fun hangout spot, all the lake toys are a bonus as well. The property is huge with lots of fun yard games to play, the sauna is a little bonus too on those chilly mornings or evening! This retreat is a MUST stay!!

A Great Escape

A beautiful, recently built cottage in the woods on a lake. So many beautiful finishing touches. Too many to mention. We loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

Heaven on Little Papoose Lake

What a great experience, Haven on Little Papoose Lake was heavenly! The north woods environment was sublime with beautiful views in every direction. The architectural details and the interior design were beautiful and well thought out. The kitchen was built for gourmet cooking and supplied with everything a chef could wish for. It was cozy and comfortable. A perfect get-away!

Basecamp

Norseman Point served as an excellent basecamp for my group of friends exploring local winter activities. World class Nordic and fat bike trails practically next door. Snowriver alpine skiing less than an hour away. Snowshoe trails on the property, great restaurants and breweries nearby. And did I mention that the place itself is magnificent? Every detail from the stovetop to the sauna is exceptional. Host John provided a great overall experience. A+

A retreat for friends

Norseman Point was a lovely cabin for a weekend with friends - with plenty of space to both gather together and also find cozy nooks for oneself. You’ll feel your city pressures subside as you sink in and relax. The craftsmanship and ambience of the cabin also add to the memorable stay. Wonderful sauna. Long walks. Small town eateries. All the amenities you’ll need. Skol!

Majestic!

Everyone thinks of mountains when we use the word majestic. I can’t think of a better word to describe Norseman Point. You are honestly awe-struck pulling into the driveway and see the cabin come into sight for the first time. It truly is remarkable from the thoughtful landscaping, to the detail inside the cabin. The local materials used and the reclaimed materials from the old cabin, the details on the glass, the grand room, the exceptional rug, the views overlooking the lake! The sauna!This place has a plethora of outdoor activities to do. Kayaking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, a cute town to shop and explore. My family has such fond memories here. The joy this place brings is indescribable. It isn’t just a place to visit. It’s an experience. Majestic.

Our stay at The Norseman was nothing short of incredible. This cabin is full, true luxury—every detail is high-end, thoughtful, and clearly chosen with pride in ownership. The style is the perfect blend of modern cabin and cozy comfort: clean lines, gorgeous furnishings, and a warmth that instantly makes you feel at home.The fireplace completely transforms the space into a warm, inviting retreat, and the view of the lake is absolutely breathtaking. The private lot is serene and peaceful—exactly what we needed. Whether you want to stay busy or do absolutely nothing, this cabin has everything: plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, or the perfect backdrop to simply relax.This was the first time in a long time my husband and I truly slowed down, unplugged, and relaxed. We never thought we’d be “cabin people,” but after this stay? We’re already counting down the days until we can come back.Amazing hosts, a tranquil setting, and a fully luxurious experience—The Norseman is a 5-star getaway through and through. Highly recommend!
