I would definitely stay here again! The location was perfect to Red Rocks and Bear Lake. Home had everything we needed to cook meals, beds were very comfortable and the place was cozy to come back to at the end of the day!!!

Great location and property. Felt comfortable and enjoyed all the little touches including the fresh flowers! Responsive host. Had everything we needed and more. Always had a parking spot and felt safe in the neighborhood. Enjoyed reading in the backyard as well. Forgot I was in the city for a moment.

We had a great time. The place is perfect for traveling with pets as it has a nicely fenced yard, it was clean, parking was easy, beds were comfortable and the place had nice little touches like free snacks and streaming services.

Cozy cute space with a very warm and welcoming host. This rental is a little off the beaten path but the CTA routes to and from are easy to navigate - we recommend taking Blue from O’hare and getting off at California stop - from there grab the 74 bus for a quick ride to Kilpatrick stop, which is within a block or two of the rental. The home itself sits among Chicago’s Bungalow homes - which are very distinct for fans of architecture. We enjoyed the hospitality of the on-premises host and the comfort and cleanliness of the space. Great stay and very affordable for Chicago!

My two sons and I traveled from NC to Chicago to explore the city. We booked this rental for three nights in July 2026. It was clean, quiet, cool, and offered a cozy and secure place for us to relax each night. The three beds each slept well, sheets were soft, there was plenty of seating in the den and in kitchen to accommodate up to 4 people (even though there were only 3 of us), it offered a fully operational kitchen with a Nespresso machine (sooo yummy!), one full bathroom that we shared, and fluffy towels. An added bonus was the responsiveness of the host. She was quick to reply back, genuine, and friendly; also very helpful with offering tips for navigating the city which I much appreciated. Would highly recommend this property!

This place was so cute and perfect for our stay. It was easy to get around Chicago using the bus from this location, and it had great options for food and groceries nearby. It was easy to park really close to the place, and it felt very secure throughout our entire stay. Had everything we needed and then some! The host was super accommodating, friendly, and responded right away to any questions or requests. The outdoor area was gorgeous, and it was nice to have a little private backyard to relax in. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay! The unit is very cute, spacious, and well-stocked with kitchen utensils, coffee, soap, towels, etc. The host is very nice and even sent us some recommendations for our weekend in Chicago. She is also quite responsive if you need anything. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, even though it's two blocks from a major road - that means some things are easy walking distance without all the road noise. I highly recommend this VRBO!

The location was great for us, as we were visiting family nearby and they were already hosting other out-of-town visitors.Getting in and out was easy, and the space is as shown and described. It was quiet at night, so we were able to sleep uninterrupted. The price felt a little high considering we used the space only to sleep, drink a morning cup of coffee and shower, but it appeared appropriate for the market. We had looked at less expensive options, but they substantially increased the drive time to and from our relative’s home. We opted to pay more with a 10-minute drive than less with a 45-minute drive. Street parking with a daily permit sticker was a new experience for us. When we returned each night, we filled out a new sticker and attached it to our windshield. We were always able to park on the same street as the property and sometimes right in front of it. Other times we had to park farther down the block. We never had to park on a side street. The host set us up with a week’s supply of coffee pods, which was nice.

Home away from home!

We had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful, newly renovated basement apartment where we were the very first guests. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true home away from home. The listing didn’t do it justice. The apartment was thoughtfully furnished, incredibly serene, and had everything we needed and more—including a fully equipped kitchen stocked beyond expectations. Lovely flower-filled backyard where we grilled like homeIts location was perfect—centrally situated, with all the places we needed to go just minutes away via city streets. There was restaurants and stores in walking distance. Maggie and Marlo, the hosts, greeted us with warmth, enthusiasm, and grace, making us feel genuinely welcome.We’ve stayed in many hotels and homes in Chicago over the years, but none have offered such a stress-free and convenient experience. Without a doubt, this will be our first choice whenever we’re in Chicago or passing through. They truly deserve all the accolades!

This very clean and well appointed apartment was a comfortable stay outside of downtown. More than enough room for 3 guests. Communication with the host was clear and easy. Check in was smooth and the whole visit went as anticipated. We really enjoyed our week in Chicago!
