Gilligan's-en afsondret bryllupsrejse sommerhus nær en smuk strand ---- TVNC-4189

Og ikke kun afsondret, men kun en fire og en halv minutters gang til en smuk og privat strand! Gilligan 's Beach Cottage er ikke som et af husene pakket ind i byen - det er cirka 15 minutter øst for Princeville i landdistrikterne Kauai i et uspoleret, naturlig dal kaldet Moloa'a. Hvis du tjekke det ud på et kort, vil du finde Moloa'a Bay i øverste højre hjørne. Da der er meget begrænset offentlig parkering tæt på stranden, er denne strand relativt uopdaget af turister. Hollywood, men gjorde opdage denne idylic placering i 1960'erne og filmet hele pilot episode af 'Gilligans Island "her - dermed navnet vi valgte.

Gilligans Cottage er beliggende på en stor landdistrikterne parti, som er fyldt med frugt og palmer, til glæde for vores gæster. Denne dal er tyndt befolket, og privatlivets fred og ro er, hvad du vil finde her. Gilligans har et soveværelse, en fuld bad med en privat udendørs Hawaiian Shower (som er meget populær hos vores gæster!). Huset er fuldt moderne på alle måder, men stadig bevarer charmen af ​​det gamle Hawaii i sin plantage indstilling.

Moloa'a Strand - åh, stranden! Bare en fire og en halv minutters gang ned en dejlig asfalteret landevej. Meget smuk, meget ren og meget ensom! We liked this place because of it's rural setting. So, there are no nearby shops or other amenities, but that was it's gift. We fed the feral cats, ate fresh fruit from the trees and put up with a zillion chickens, but that is what Kauai is like if you are not in a sterile condo. We used the Gas Grill on the deck, took pictures of the wonderful garden, the birds and the geckos. We visited the Kilauea Lighthouse, the Kilauea Farmers Market, and the bakery in Kilauea that has gluten free baked goods!! We would stay here again. It does not have a water view, but it is super quiet.

This was the absolute most amazing place we have ever stayed. The cottage was the perfect size fir the two of us. Everything is well thought out witt tons of amenities. Tony himself even gave us toothbrushes as my boyfriend had forgotten to pack them. There is lots of privacy and its very quiet and peaceful. The gardens are so beautiful. And the beach is such a short walk away, and wfile there ww only saw two other people both times we went. I will never stay anywhere else again while visiting Kauai. I miss it and can't wait to go back!

Beautiful slice of paradise

We had wonderful time just a short walk from beautiful Moloa'a Beach. Conveniently located to the north and south shores of Kauai. We loved the tropical and peaceful environment. Tony, the host, is a pleasure to interact with. We would definitely consider a return to this adorable cottage.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Gilligans. The cottage was so cozy, secluded and private and surrounded by lush tropical tress and plants and flowers close to the beach. The cottage was very clean, had all the amenities we needed including snorkeling gear, towels and boogie boards. Tony was an amazing and accommodating host and we loved feeding the little kitties every evening. !!

Fabulous Moloa’a Bay

We enjoyed being a short walk from this lovely, uncrowded beach. The rental was charming, with everything we needed. Very quiet and private. And i loved having the “resident” outdoor cats to feed and pet.😻

Giligan's Cottage was the perfect secluded hideaway we were looking for -- off the beaten track, very close to an uncrowded beach, close enough to Kilauea and Hanalei, as well as the East Shore towns, to take care of shopping and occasional dining out -- and the cottage had all we needed to be self-sufficient most of the time anyway. Fresh avocados and tangerines right off the trees in the yard were a real plus.

This beautiful, secluded spot is surrounded by flora and Fana. The avocado tree outback is just ready for you to pick a big ripe avocado along with all the other fruit trees. Tony was a wonderful and very attentive host.

A secluded serene hideaway!

Gilligans is a gem in a jungle like environment. The house is clean and neat with many special features such as the flora in the yard which includes many flowering plants, a lime tree, and a huge avocado tree. We especially enjoyed the cats that come visiting and the ever present flock of chickens which made us feel right at home, Tony and his staff keep this place well stocked to meet all your needs.

Amazing getaway at Gilligan’s cabin

Stunning property. Couldn’t wait to get home each night and sit out in the lanai. Outdoor shower was awesome. Enjoyed the stray cats that visited us each day and the geckos…and even roosters. Beach within walking distance was incredible and never packed. Cabin exceeded our already high expectations. Would absolutely recommend 10 times over.

Best provisioned ABB we have stayed in,was like being at home. Very clean, everything worked. Excellent communication with owner. Really quiet . All good. And , beach is as good as it gets, go to south end for calm swiming area and the rock ledge there is good for snorkeling too.

Simply Perfect!

We have stayed at many VRBOs, but none as nice as this! We loved…the location, the cleanliness, the floor plan, the outdoor shower, the plentiful supplies (Ziplocks, shampoo, TP, laundry supplies, beach chairs, etc), the beautiful, well groomed grounds, the sweet cats, the unbelievable privacy, the composite decks, and the fresh fruit! The host was the best we’ve ever come across. Tony was pleasant to work with, quick to respond to any questions, and SO very congenial! The pride he takes in his property is evident everywhere! Book it!

Absolutely perfect paradise

We are enchanted to know about this gem of a place - it surpassed expectations. Any time we thought of something we should have brought, we found it in the cottage- thankfully that included a sun umbrella. It truly has a thoughtful home feeling and the yard itself is paradise! We ate fruit from the yard and stargazed at night. The best açaí bowls and healthy food at Kalalea Juice Hale right close on the corner of Koolau Road. Much time spent at Moloa’a beach and hiking Larsen’s. A short drive to many great locations. The best time imaginable. We will return without a doubt!

Fantastic cottage!

My husband and I had an amazing stay in this cottage. Tony gave detailed directions on getting to the cottage as well as how to get the keys. I can’t describe how peaceful I felt here. The grounds, the birds, the flowers, and the fruit trees were amazing. The cottage was secluded and felt more like home which was so different from the resort areas. It was a short walk to the beach and it was not crowded at all. We went every day and just sat and enjoyed the waves. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend this cottage. Sitting on the deck, drinking a glass of wine, watching the chickens and cats was extremely pleasurable and relaxing. This is on my favorites list for future visits. Thank you Tony. I am going to miss your part of Kauai.

Paradise Found

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Kauai and rented Gilligan's Cottage in August 2009. We were there for 10 days and couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience! Gilligan's is everything it boasts to be and more...the pictures don't do it justice. The owners have thought of every possible amenity to make it feel like a home away from home. It was spotless and well maintained. We loved spending time on the lanai. The bed was very comfortable. Don't pack a lot of clothes, as you won't need them! The washer and dryer are very handy to have. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. The North Shore offers lots of sightseeing, beach, shopping and restaurant choices. Moloa'a Beach is paradise found....especially beautiful for pictures in the early morning. We would recommend this cottage to anyone. You won't be disappointed and the price is incredibly good.

A Step Back in Time

This place and it's location are a Hawaii from decades ago. My wife and I only spent three days/nights there, and wished we'd stayed a week or more. The house itself is a little funky but it has everything you need to be comfortable. Less can certainly be more. It is well equipped. The kitchen has a lot of things for cooking, great filtered water, spices sauces, so you don't have to go out and buy a lot of stuff a a market. The BBQ is great. There are beach towels, snorkeling equipment, and a couple of boogie boards. The property is really nice, with fruit trees, tropical flowers, a huge avocado tree, coconut palms, and lots of jungle foliage. The best part is the location. It's out of the way, and it's a fantastic, secluded bay. If you want a place to really relax, talk to the owner, Tony, and reserve a slot of time in paradise! He's a wonderful guy to talk to, and he wants to give his guests the opportunity to share something very special!

The drawing factor of Moloaa Bay is that you are not inundated with crowds. There are plenty of other vacation rentals on the North Shore, but if you are trying to find privacy and relaxation, Moloaa Bay cannot be beat!
