The cabin is super cute. The owners communication leaves a lot to be desired. Be warned, that you will not be let in the cabin until you receive a "personal" greeting. We were not told this prior to arriving, and since we were approximately 2-2.5 hours out from arriving I messaged asking for the code & was told that the host would be onsite. That was not the case. We waited around in the dark with poor cell reception in the freezing, not knowing if messages were going thru for 9 mins. Once she arrived she was very dismissive about the amount of time we were inconvenienced. She lives right next door. We were notified of a couple issues, there was a group that left the same day we checked in, they had damaged a wall, and the fireplace didn't work and she stated that the repair person would be coming the next day, they never arrived. Maybe it's just me, but part of the ambiance of a cabin is the fireplace. We noticed our first night that we couldn't figure out how to turn on the upper fan, there was a remote we weren't made aware of and the lights in the family room were all out. The owner came over with another man to check the cause of the lights, on our only full day at the cabin. Apparently all the lights had burned out at once. We opted to not have them come back and interrupt our stay any further to replace. Check out requirements are cumbersome since the wash takes 2 hours and you can only put 4 towels in the wash at a time. The upstairs bed is broke down in the center.
