We really enjoyed the house

We particularly enjoyed the patio and the backyard. The kitchen is well designed, and we cooked several dinners that we enjoyed on the patio. The bedrooms and other facilities accommodated my family perfectly.

This is a beautiful, well appointed home. Whimsical, fun, and comfy, which reminded us of artistic homes in Spain. Getting to and from the Plaza, is quite easy, and we were always able to park, in the municipal lot. The back patio is so relaxing and a wonderful spot to start your day. I highly recommend this home for your Santa Fe getaway.

Beautiful house, continently located, comfortable, and within walking distance of the plaza and rail yard. We had a great time and very much enjoyed coffee on the back porch listening to the water feature and watching birds and humming birds come and go. Perfect for a home base to see the area. Great kitchen and a short distance from Trader Joe’s, making a meal or snack restock a snap. Thank you again to our hosts, the house was very clean, towels luxurious ,and comfortable linens.

Gorgeous place!

I've stayed in many vacation homes all over the world and this one is at the top in terms of beauty, comfort and amenities. The place is just drop-dead gorgeous, with artisan touches everywhere, a beautiful interior design and just about everything (even little cold packs in the freezer) one might need. A true delight to live in for a few days.

This house is an artful masterpiece. From the moment you walk in, you can feel a peacefulness in your heart and soul. We have made several visits to the Hobbitt House and all have been memorable. There is so much to do in Santa Fe and a good way to start your day is take a walk to the Rose Garden and smell the flowers, then continue your walk to Clafoutis bakery for beignets to-go that you can eat on your back patio with your coffee while you watch the hummingbirds enjoying the trumpet vine.

If a place could get 6 stars, this would be it. The home is a complete work of art, everything custom made and charming, but so totally comfortable. And the backyard is a refuge in the city — we spent as much time in it as we could. Kitchen is extremely well-stocked and ready for use. Location was very convenient to all parts of Santa Fe, with good shopping and restaurants within a short walk. We would rank this among the top places we’ve ever stayed.

Amazing house.

Everything about this house was amazing. Great attention to details. The art and mosaics were amazing. Everything was close by car. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful Stay!

This was such a gorgeous home. Every time we looked around we saw something else that wowed us. Also, it's very well-equipped and clean. We were always glad to drive back to this as our base.

Best house ever!

This home is a work of art! Around every rounded corner there is something else magical. The stone work, mosaics, collections of pots and pottery, just everything speaks to you! This is the best equipped VRBO rental we have ever used. And so clean! Thank you to our hosts who were always available if we needed them or had a question. I want to do a girlfriends trip here next year and have more spa time at Ten Thousand Waves!

A well equipped very special home

The house is truly amazing and that alone might have been enough but, it was also one of the best equipped rental properties I've stayed at. Great location for exploring Santa Fe and the surrounding area. We utilized Trader Joe's nearby and cooked almost exclusively.

Surrounded by art: great location

Sheila and Terry's hobbit house is a true work of art--comfortable, cozy and well-stocked too. We loved watching the hummingbirds in the garden. Just a short drive to the center of town and surrounded by great restaurants and plenty of places to shop. Can't think of a single negative thing to say.

Another lovely stay at the Hobbit House

This is our very favorite property of all. We have stayed here on several trips (3?4?) and always try to get the Hobbit House, if possible. The house is beautifully decorated and every need has been anticipated. On this trip, we had our two grown daughters with us and the house easily and comfortably accommodated all of us. Perfect vacation rental

We enjoyed our stay at the Hobbit House. Not only was the house beautifully done with all the tile art work throughout. It was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed at. The house was stocked with practically anything you would need for a comfortable stay! Thank you again!

No problems checking in or out. The house and grounds are fantastic and are better than the pictures. We kept finding little details. The house is completely furnished with everything you could want and is very comfortable. We’ll be back.

Hobbit House

Staying at this house is an exceptional experience. The house itself is a feast for the eyes from the mosaics to the landscaping. It is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The location is walking distance to a delightful French bakery and short driving distance to all Santa Fe has to offer. You won’t want to leave.

Incredible home!

I stayed with a group of 5 for a long weekend high school "reunion" trip. This place was incredible and surpassed our needs. The house itself is beautiful, and spacious. Location was also very convenient, as nothing was more than a 5-15min drive away. I also went on a run in the morning and easily found a nice bike trail to follow. Would definitely stay again!

Magical Getaway

This property is magical! Intricate artistic details everywhere but approachable enough for our children (8 and 11). While there are plenty of adventures to be had in Santa Fe, this home is beautiful and well appointed enough to have just as much fun staying in. Excellent location, responsive hosts. We have visited Santa Fe a few times before and look forward to coming back and staying in the Hobbit House again!

Fabulous and creative!

Couldn’t have been better, really! The French bakery/restaurant was a treat in every way. This house was amazing with all the artistry. The only thing that would have made it better was information about the house and art.

Beautiful home in Santa Fe

This is probably one of the most beautiful, majestic home that I have stayed at through VRBO. My sisters and I stayed over Mother’s Day and really enjoyed the Hobbit House and the area. The home was very close to downtown Santa Fe. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. The decor and art of the home was amazing! I will definitely recommend and stay at the Hobbit House again.

Beautiful, unique art house

This property is gorgeous. The woodworking, tile, painting and art pieces throughout are beautiful. Felt like we were staying in an art gallery. Lovely plants indoor and outdoor, great outdoor space. 25 minute walk to the plaza. Most unique house we’ve ever stayed in.

My wife and I have lived in Santa Fe for the last 40 years and for the last 10, we have wanted to play 'host.' We bought a house in a key location, and for 5 years, I 'dolled it up' with an attempt to make it a 'live-in art gallery.' It was so fun, I now am doing more of this kind of work. Sheila came in with her green thumb, and designed and planted the landscaping, plus, she oversaw all the interior decoration and furnishings. Now we work together to get it ready for guests. We enjoy sharing the house with our guests.
