The troubles stayed with check in. The code to the door didn't work. We tried many times with no success. We called the number and after about 15 minutes of waiting on the balcony outside the door with our bags we finally got a human on the phone. Her first question was did we enter the number correctly. Really?? No, we intentionally entered it incorrectly hoping to wait 15 minutes for this asinine interaction. She sent us a new number which worked immediately which just confirmed that the original number was incorrect. They then sent us the code for the key box which also didn't work. Again they assumed we did it wrong, but when they sent us another code it worked fine. That's how it started. The building is not great. The walkways are very dirty and the stairs are old and rusty. Inside the apartment is fine except for a few maintenance things. The main kitchen faucet is loose and needs attention. The toilet paper holder is broken and needs repair. The concrete floors are dirty and need a thorough cleaning. The bed and bathroom were good the kitchen was well outfitted. The couch was uncomfortable but that's what you get with a fold out.The best part of the apartment is the location. Easy walking distance to South Congress neighborhood and all of the restaurants and clubs. Great views of the downtown skyline. Great location. Just needs some attention. It's obvious the people that own this apartment never actually stay here.

The location was great, however they were some issues with the unit. The keyless entry was temperamental, There was no coffee, 2 drops of hand soap in the bathroom, 3 towels for 4 nights (w/ no bathroom fan or washing machine) no bath mat and during a 5 minute shower the drain backs up to fill the tub halfway. The silverware in the drawer looked dirty. When we returned about 3 in the afternoon we notified the management company that AC was out.it took four hours for them to get someone who determined it could not be fixed and for them to verify and they would relocate us. We had to get to an appointment to look at some real estate ( we are moving to Austin). After our appointment we had tickets to a band on Soco. We refused the relocation and found something ourselves. They refunded our fees except for the first night, fees and taxes.

We contacted support a few times and they nicely told us our issues had been reported but nothing happened. We had no wifi the whole stay and the door code was ridiculously long and very difficult to get the door open. I requested they give us a key or shorten the code and that never happened. Vacasa only said they reported it. They said that a few times. I wanted someone to reach out and speak to me about my complaints but only after I hounded them after we checked out did anything happen. They gave me the equivalent of one nights price to make up for not having wifi, but there was no human interaction. :(

The apartment is a nice little spot in a great location. The property management company through VRBO is a nightmare. Good luck getting them to provide any help whatsoever. I'll do my best to never rent through VACASA again.

Cute & comfy

We enjoyed our stay. The condo is decorated really cute. The bed was comfy. We enjoyed being able to walk to South Congress. I will say bring your sleeping mask as the sun came up early & blinded us. Blackout curtains would help.ve been nicebeen nice

The decor was adorable! If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s not in the busy part of the city but a short drive from downtown, this is the perfect place to stay.

Great little condo just a few blocks off South Congress

This was a great little 1-bedroom condo that was decorated with an Austin theme. The unit was very clean and the bed and pillow were very comfortable. A/C worked great. A short walk to South Congress Street which was hopping. Found a great Mexican restaurant, lots to see and do. Highly recommend.

Stylish to a point…..

Stylish it was but that’s where it ended. There was grit on floors and cabinets, a nearly empty liquor bottle on a shelf, and very uncomfortable furniture with a bed frame being held together with a zip-tie. The grill was shared and I wouldn’t use it given its condition, the stairs were uneven and the railings were rusty and peeling paint was a concern for cuts. The location was wonderful and the most positive thing about this property.

GR8 location and very clean. Recommend!

The property is located in a very nice updated mature neighborhood. Reminds me of the beautiful homes and trees in the Heights in Houston. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and to Congress where there is plenty to see and do. Short walk really. The property is older but well kept. The unit was extremely clean.

Cozy South River Condo

Great location, a few blocks from South Congress that has shops and dinning options. Place has everything needed for short term stay. If you staying longer there is no washer and dryer. If you work from home, internet would not work great but you can still do essentials with WIFI. Place is well put and decorated with all needed items. It is on the third floor and there is no elevator, but if you don't have health issues than it is a great way to exercise.
