Shower in master bathroom whistles loudly and tub height is dangerously high to walk over. Very limited amount of supplies. Definitely no extras, such as salt and pepper. Had to ask for forks, only two were provided. Dirty plates were in the cabinet. Pool was closed the entire last day of our trip.

Nice getaway for two couples

Perfect for two couples! I found it was hard to find something to accommodate just two couples because other places would have a king and then two twin beds or bunk beds but this met every need with 2 whole beds and bathrooms and nice amenities! Also there was easy communication between us and the renters .

Bday getaway

The resort was wonderful! Perfect distance from beach and attractions. Everyone was super nice, the only problem was with the pool over the weekend—someone had some sort of accident and we couldn’t use it at all for two days of a 4 day wknd. Besides that it was so nice 😊

Girls Getaway

Great location close to restaurants, malls, beach and Harbor boardwalk. The resort itself has on-site restaurant with live band on Friday, which was very enjoyable. Love the outside bar near the pool. The staff was very friendly upon check-in. However, their rule is to check in on the dot 4 o’clock not a minute earlier, so don’t think you can get early check-in, which wasn’t a problem for us. We ate lunch at Joe’s Crab Shack across the street.

Loved our getaway

This spot is close to the elevators so it was easily accessed. No noise from it though so that was great. My son was greeted with a special treat for his birthday and we have that memory to take home with us as well. We would 100% stay here again.

We enjoyed the room. Laundry and kitchen were excellent. Dissatisfied with the location.. and parking was not great for carrying groceries etc. No carts ever available. Loved the pool . Thankful we had rental car because there was no beach access like shown. We did drive across street but very crowded beach.

Angela, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are glad you enjoyed the room. We are sorry the location was not what you had hoped. We double checked and the photo of the beach access on the website is the beach access available to guests at this property. The beaches can be crowded this time of year. Wish the AC was cooler when we arrived. It took a day for the AC to cool the place down from 78. The bedrooms also stay pretty hot. Have to keep fans and blinds shut. Can’t enjoy the sunshine.

Michael, please accept our apology for the issues that caused any inconvenience and/or frustration during your stay in the two-bed, two-bath Palms Resort #1202. Although we completely understand your frustration regarding the on-site staff, elevator(s), fire alarms, and construction, we unfortunately have no control over such situations at any resort like The Palms of Destin. On Real Joy and Vrbo websites, it states the "*the parking garage is currently undergoing restoration, please excuse any inconveniences this may cause during your stay." We hope you enjoyed the layout and decor of this rental unit. Thank you for choosing Real Joy.

It was ok

I wasn’t impressed by this property. It needs a lot of updating. I’ll start by saying the amenities were nice and family friendly. The unit itself needs some love. It was technically clean. The patio could use pressure washing, the counter tops had rust on them. The bathroom needs updating as the fixtures were rusted and discolored. I actually ended up staying with family because I wasn’t happy with the unit.

A nice place to stay

We found the property to be clean as well as nicely furnished. It had everything one needs to cook a meal and the only drawback was that it was on the second floor so there wasn't a view from the balconies. We're not "balcony people" so that didn't bother us in the least. The beds were very comfortable and I would stay there again in the future.
