This sprawling cabin is perched on the point of Grey Cloud Island, providing a one-of-a-kind view of the Mississippi River.

Soak up the sweeping vistas and enjoy first-rate accommodations. Observe abundant wildlife along 2,400 feet of shoreline.

Special events must be approved prior to booking. Inquire for details. We handle each event on a case-by-base basis. Unauthorized events are not permitted and may result in cancellation without refund.

Absolutely beautiful! Property and house are gorgeous. The amenities, pool, and grounds were perfect. A true chefs kitchen was wonderful for our group. The beds, furniture, linens, pillows and towels were all incredibly comfortable and luxurious. The host was extremely responsive and thoughtful!

What a gorgeous property! The hosts were gracious and generous and the house was beyond lovely.So much room and privacy.We baked, hot tubbed, swam, watched stars and fall foliage and enjoyed every minute.Cannot wait to come back!

What a great historical cabin on the river. The house was amazing, recently updated with an incredible kitchen area. We held a corporate event and the space was perfect with plenty of space. Our host was very nice and the communication was always very prompt.

Christina was an excellent host. She was there and answered any questions or requests we had. Everything about Gray Cloud was like a high end resort. The living space was large. The bed rooms were all comfortable and everyone had privacy. The linens and towels were high end. Even beach towel were furnished. The kitchen space was to die for with a six burner Wolf stove with a double griddle and double ovens. There was also a large coffee/drink bar with sink, icemaker and dishwasher. The entire kitchen was furnished with anything you would need.There was more than enough seating both inside and out. The pool was beautiful and furnished with plenty of seating and pool toys. There were swings, and a fire pit by the river. There were kayaks and a canoe at the dock on the river. The views were beautiful wherever you looked. Christina had even set up a scavenger hunt for the kids which they all enjoyed doing. They were rewarded with a treasure chest of surprise gifts at the end. She also had a reading challenge by their bunks. We only left the island once and that was to go to the ice cream stand. This was a family vacation and everyone left saying we should come back here again next year! That doesn't always happen when you have kids from and grand kids from 49 to 2! Don't hesitate to book this place.

Christina was an amazing host! She was accommodating, communicative, and welcoming to the needs of our group. The island, outdoor space, and cabin are GORGEOUS. The primary bedroom has stellar views of the Mississippi River. The other cabin bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, and the connected 'guest house' area is unique and fun. The open kitchen, and other gathering spaces make a perfect gathering space for hosting groups of any size.

Great spot!

This place exceeded my expectations! Pictures don't do it justice. The views of the river are incredible. The cabin itself is spacious and attractively furnished. We especially appreciated the comfortable beds, coffee station and fireplace. Christina was a terrific host and very responsive when we had questions. We're already talking about coming back in the summer to use the pool and canoe! The island would be stunning in any season!

Wonderful Mississippi River Hideaway

Gorgeous 15 acres of wooded lands with access to Mississippi River with stunning scenic views. House was spacious and dining and kitchen areas were fantastic for our group of 16. Christina was committed to helping us enjoy our Memorial Day weekend and created a scavenger hunt for our adult children. She was phenomenal. Kayaks, canoes, corn hole, horse shoes, with added balls, fishing poles (live bait!) and added resources was superb. Driveway was large enough to hold our pickleball tourney (we brought our net, paddles and balls). We had a great time and our kids want another family reunion here in 5 years.

The house was truly amazing! We had a great bunk room for our 4 grandkids that was separate from the main part of the house, so they loved it and so did we. The pool was a highlight for them as well. The great kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, etc. Christina made it interesting for the kids by setting up a scavenger hunt which they thoroughly enjoyed! Can't say enopugh good things about the house, the grounds, the views, etc. We would definitely rent again!!

Grey Cloud Point was incredible. If I could give it more than FIVE STARS, I would. We had 17 total with ten adults, seven children and stayed for four nights. I brought back many very special family memories with me. The views were fantastic and the decor was spot-on and interesting. There are many gathering places, both inside and out, so even though we had a big group, it never felt crowded. The over-the-top living area and grounds were so inviting with comfortable seating areas and fun things to do. The beautifully quilted beds were so comfortable and the showers were relaxing. We loved watching barges move on down the river, people in canoes, a bald eagle perched in a tree, and many interesting things in nature. We enjoyed the fixins for s'mores as well as sitting back in the comfy Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, the pool, outside dining area and patio. There was an abundance of activities to choose from. Everyone loved the pool, the hot tub, the big swing, the playground set, bags, and the variety of toys and board games. So many spaces to do things!! We had a blast! I even found the perfect space for reading late at night. The kitchen was extraordinary. Anything we could have asked for and MORE! In closing, I just can't say enough good things about our host, Christina. She was so helpful and above and beyond thoughtful. We really appreciated her great attention to detail and extra fun surprises on the island. We will remember this vacation for a long, long time.

This was our second day this summer at Christina’s cabin. Both visits were exceptional experiences for all in our groups. Everything – inside and out – was exceptionally clean. We had some finicky cooks in both groups, and they were quickly appeased by the top end equipment in the kitchen and the extensive supply of cooking tools and utensils. The cabin has numerous sitting and gathering areas throughout the house, which makes conversations and connecting very easy. Christina and Ted, the hosts, are truly incredible. They seemed to think of everything and were very responsive and worked to make our stay perfect.

We have done family vacations for 14 years and have stayed in VRBO properties all across the Midwest and Southeast. This is the absolute best home we have ever stayed in. Our hosts Christina and Ted were amazing. There were so many great touches. Gifts for all of our grandchildren, a very cool scavenger hunt, and wide variety of fruit, coffee, and other staples. The house was beautiful and clean. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. I really cannot say enough good things about the house and about our hosts Christina and Ted! Our family definitely wants to come back next year! Thank you so much for a memorable week!

Our stay at Grey Cloud Island was absolutely magical. The property is stunning and provided a serene location for our three-generation family reunion. The Mississippi River was the backdrop for our family to spend beautiful time together. Christina is the hostess par excellence. Besides for being extremely communicative and responding to all of our questions and requests, she went above and beyond in so many ways. She even left a fun-filled scavenger hunt for our children, that kept them so entertained. They LOVED It. And the house is so well equipped for children of all ages, with games, toys, books, outdoor equipment – you name it, it was there. The kitchen also, is fully equipped and stocked with whatever you might need.The house was absolutely clean and so beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are all new and fresh and clean. There is much space and there are so many places to just sit and relax, inside and outside of the house – to gaze out at the river and enjoy the scenic peaceful views. One of the favorite pastimes for our children was waiting and watching for the barges to come down the river which happened at least 2 to 3 times a day. If there was a possibility of giving more than 5 stars, I would totally rate this property as such. And if VRBO gave out a Most Gracious Hostess Award, I would nominate Christina. She was the reason our stay was so enjoyable. This is a fantastic property. I recommend it highly.

The listing doesn’t do the property justice. It is spacious inside with many comfortable gathering spots. Outside, there are sitting areas around the property and along the river, and quiet everywhere. Our three night stay was very special for all involved.The host, Christina, was very responsive and accessible, and went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable. Her hospitality was the best I have experienced with any Vrbo property.

Stunning retreat on the river

This property is absolutely amazing - with a stunning view of the Mississippi River. We held a wedding here, and set up the ceremony on the northern point of the lawn - it was so beautiful. The accommodations were wonderful - sleeping space for lots of people in large, private bedrooms. plus the two-level bunkroom. Huge kitchen, living room, and dining room, but perhaps the real gem here is the outdoor space - a very large patio with ample outdoor furniture, a lovely pool and lots of pool toys, and a hot tub to book! A few people in our party took the kayaks out for a spin on the river. The huge house was very clean, and everything we could have needed was included. Christina the owner was so helpful as we planned our trip, and provided so many lovely touches and treats to make our stay even more enjoyable. I cannot say enough good things about this property - it was a piece of heaven for our family wedding, and four day stay!

Majestic estate on the Mississippi River

This vacation home is a gem that truly has it all. A great large home surrounded by trees and grass overlooking the Mississippi River. The countryside setting is only 20-30 minutes away from downtown. Great master suite overlooking the river with an additional 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main floor. The top floor has another 3 bedrooms with a separate kitchen and bathroom. Several family rooms and endless outdoor space. A full in-ground pool and a dock on the river. We spent a week at the property and could not get enough. We hope to return soon. The host was very gracious and helpful. We were able to get Uber eats and Instacart for everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place.

Summertime at Grey Island

We had three generations of family enjoying this very well-maintained and stocked home. The owners were very responsive. We played games and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, walked down to the dock, and sat outside and enjoyed nature. It was fun to see the barges float past on the Mississippi too! A very nice vacation!

Gorgeous location!

This house is incredible! The location is amazing and so relaxing. We visited while it was to cold to go swimming but we will definitely return in the Summer.

Minnesota Island Retreat

Our family really enjoyed spending time together on Grey Cloud island. The amenities, the views, and our hostess were exceptional. We would highly recommend this property and plan to return.

If you are able to do this, DO IT! Lovely property and amazing owners!

We have a blended family of four adult children who have never spent a night with all of them under one roof with us. Since most of them are out of state, it was such a gift to be able to house them and feed them like they grew up that way. The greatest part was that they each had their own bedroom to retreat to for downtime. My husband has very limited mobility, due to a progressive neurological disease called MSA with Parkinsonism. Although he is not wheelchair bound yet, he does require a rollator and manual wheelchair combo. We appreciated the main house being one level so we could help him maneuver throughout and take strolls outside. We did well with much assistance from the kids, as he is still able to transfer with help. Seemingly, this would not work for a wheelbound person, as some of the doorways are narrow and the beds are high from the floor. Speaking of the beds...all six of us felt like we were on cloud nine in our beds! Beautifully done with plush comforters that cradle you into la la land. The hostess, Christina, was most awesome in her communications straight from the start. I feel like I got to know her so well over the three weeks of our preparations - I would certainly like to call this gem of a lady my friend. And her husband, Ted, came out at 10:30 one night to bring us a power strip for my husband's medical equipment. They are amazing...I just can't say enough! We will always cherish the family memories that were made there...the kids absolutely loved it and were so thankful for the time away in a beautiful place together. We took many family pictures and we will forever remember the island as our happy place. We will forever cherish our family time filled with love, laughter and joy!

Wonderful family time!

We had a GREAT wedding weekend. The house provided such nice gathering space, indoors and out. Christina was SO good to work with. I'd rent again in a heartbeat!

An amazing getaway on the banks of the Mississippi!

We hosted a Bachelorette Party at this property, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the house and the grounds! Plenty of privacy, beautiful views of the Mississippi River and wildlife (we saw eagles fly over every day!), an amazing patio and pool area, and lots of space in the house for us to gather, play games, and eat together! Christina was a wonderful host, very responsive before, during, and after our stay! I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to host a small party, family reunion, or even just a quiet getaway!

Amazing property and location!

We had a ladies weekend with 16 ladies and hands-down, was 100% perfection! The property is beautiful with so many amenities and Christina added so many personal touches to welcome us for our weekend. We all felt beyond lucky to be able to enjoy this property for the weekend!
