The house was a great size for 4 adults and two tween boys. It was outfitted with nearly everything you would need for a comfortable and fun week on the lake. The location was perfect… 15-30 minutes could get you to Traverse City, Suttons Bay, or Glen Arbor. We are a crew that likes to explore a lot so the house was a great starting point. When we weren’t out exploring, the kayaks were a definite hit for my family, too! Definitely recommend opening the screened doors and windows when you’re home to let the fresh lake breezes flow through (but remember to also close them when you leave for the day :)). All in all another great week in northern Michigan!

Another 5 star stay on Leelanau

Wine tour, biking, disc golf and kayaking

Great location for tons of activities and great selection of restaurants. The house was very clean and comfortable.

Fun Lake Getaway

This was a beautiful place to stay night and day. Was able to see the Northern Lights one night and boat another day on the lake. I love every second spent here.

Awesome rental!

House is on beautiful part of Lake Leelanau and has a big sandy swimmable lakefront. Kayaks are awesome. Furniture and beds are clean and very comfortable. Host is friendly and super responsive. We hope to stay with Dave again!

Great Location on the Beach

- Had good facilities: full size kitchen, 2 baths, cable, internet, patio furniture, grills, bikes and kayaks. - Close to bike trails. - Close to Sutton's Bay and Traverse City - Plenty of shopping and places to eat nearby. - Easy to get to.

Lovely week

We had a lovely week hanging out on the lake. The home is immaculate and comfortable. Good location to see the sights of you want to, but secluded enough to be a retreat from town.

Amazing sunsets on Lake Leelanau

We all had a fantastic time at this place. Perfect location and had everything you needed from kayaks, to bikes to plenty of outdoor seating for everybody to enjoy the amazing sunsets each night. Close to TC and Suttons Bay if that is your thing… Overall I would highly recommend anybody to rent this property and enjoy all that is to offer on beautiful Lake Leelanau.

Relaxing stay at Sunset Pointe

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gem. The lake views were so beautiful and the access was perfect for our 2 families of four. Our kids range from ages 1 to 6 and the beach was perfect for all. The cottage itself was very clean, has a great layout and is stocked with pretty much everything you’d need. We loved our visit and would jump at the chance to stay again!

They weren’t lying about the sunsets! our family of four loved this house and the location. It is on a quiet street and direct access to the lake from the deck is one of the biggest perks of the house. The owner was extremely responsive when we reached out and the check-in and checkout process were easy. Having the kayaks, lifejackets and tubes available was also a huge plus for my kids. This house was centrally located to all the places we had to visit in the area.

Excellent Location on the Beach

Kitchen was good sized and well equipped. Had gas and charcoal bbq grills. Kayaks and bikes provided. TV and cable. Great sunsets. Near Sutton's Bay, Traverse City, bike trail and wineries.

We were a group of 3 couples from Ohio and Kentucky visiting to enjoy the lake, cooler weather, and all the area offers in the way of vacation activies. The property by the lake exceeded our expectations! The place was exactly as advertised and true to the pictures online. The check in process was very easy with a lockbox, and we found the property very clean. And given that one of us is OCD about cleanliness, that's really saying something! The kitchen is well stocked for having meals in and also stocked with some grocery items. The backyard overlooking the lake was definitely the place to be, and we all spent a great deal of time on the deck, the dock and around the firepit. The property is close to many area attractions including Traverse City, Suttons Bay, Leland, etc. The equipment in the shed is good quality, kayaks, bikes, water floats, lawn chairs, etc. The bike trail is just down the road which is so convenient! We also enjoyed being very close to Farm Club and Shady Lane Winery! Last but certainly not least, David was very responsive to my inquiries so this was much appreciated! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Week!

The property was perfect for a lakefront week away. It was my wife and I, our 2 grown children and their guests(all 30+ years old). We spent most of our time outside on the deck or sitting in the water. Any time spent indoors was in the nicely appointed kitchen or relaxing out of the sun in the family room. The location was perfect...easy access to Traverse City or up the Peninsula to Wineries and Restaurants.

Won't disappoint!

We were in town for a wedding over Labor Day weekend. Made it an extra long weekend to be sure we could explore the area in-between wedding functions. We took advantage of just hanging out at the lake, using the kayaks and found a fun shell floaty in the shed the girls loved. House is just as pictured. Beds were comfy. Great views and easy drive to all the hot spots. As always, never enough time to see and do everything, so we will be back.

Fantastic place with everything you need

Our family vacation went off without a hitch at David's place. The location is perfect - close to Traverse City and everything else further north up the peninsula. The lake was wonderful and the house was stocked with everything we you'd need for a good trip. The kitchen was very well stocked and we didn't lack for any kitchen tool or pot/pan that we wanted to use for cooking. The beds were comfortable, all appliances worked perfectly, coffee machine kept us caffeinated, air conditioner cooled the house down on a couple of hotter days and the house was nice and quiet. Plenty of towels and kitchen gear kept us comfortable. We'll definitely be back!

Awesome home in perfect Western Michigan location. Dave and Laurie’s home is a beautiful lake vacation home for a family or group of friends! We were there for a week with our 3 adult children and space was very roomy and comfortable. The house was extremely clean. There were plenty of really nice towels. Beds were very comfy. Kitchen had all necessities and then some!Being on the lake was great — nice dock and clear sandy bottom. Plenty of water toys for us and large deck for relaxing. The location was perfect with proximity to so many cute towns, bike trails and Traverse City. There are so many things we wanted to do but ran out of time.Will definitely try to return!

Sunsets can’t be missed

What a great place for a vacation. A beautiful, comfortable well-appointed house sitting at the exact perfect place for a great sunset even on cloudy nights. Close-ish to basically all the attractions and restaurants, (don’t miss Farm Club just up the road) but far enough to feel secluded from the summer crowds. Highly reccomended.
