Guests have access to the Corolla Light Recreational Amenities. Guests are instructed to pick up their resort information and amenity bracelets on the first day of their reservation at the Corolla Light Sports Center located at 1026 Ocean Trail Corolla, NC 27927. Your check in time is not until 4:00 PM but you can take advantage of the resort amenities as soon as you retrieve your information from the Sports center, as early as 9 am on your scheduled check-in day.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.




Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

We really liked this house! the newer living room furniture and kitchen appliances really helped with updating the place. We loved the layout and the many bedrooms/bathrooms were great for our group of 12. Location near the beach and resort amenities was great. awesome view. As to the other reviews about the house being dated and a bit worn, we liked the decor, it was very homey. As for it being worn, we have been vacationing at Corolla light for 30 years and this house is no more "worn" than most we have stayed in. People need to realize that renters move in and out of these homes all year long. When one considers this, this home is in great shape. Not perfect, but really nice. We would definitely stay here again.

When I read the reviews for this house someone said “ not modern but like Grandmas house.” This was spot on!! Grandmas in a good way. My kids enjoyed pretending to use the phone on the wall with the really long cord , old alarm clocks, well stocked kitchen. Plenty of room , beds comfortable and plenty of outdoor space and deck furniture. Location was amazing and very close to anything you might need. Groceries, souvenirs, restaurants. Loved this house!! Traffic in the Duck area can get crazy in on certain days and times. With all the bathrooms was very nice but one walk in shower in only one bedroom the rest had very deep tubs that were dacuzzies. Only bad thing is if you have elderly they may find it hard to step into the tub but again they have a restroom with a walking shower they could use.

Ideal location!

This home is just about beach front—access is across a very quiet neighborhood street is amazing. We felt comfortable letting our kids go back and forth to the beach independently without worry. This neighborhood is lovely and has great amenities. We loved the pickleball and tennis within walking distance! This beach house is functional and maintained, kindof like your grandma’s house. Super clean and cozy, but not trendy. We would stay here again for sure.

Nice home in a great location!

This house was probably a gem in its day. The location is fabulous, across the street from the beach access! It is still a nice home but definitely needs updates. Our biggest complaint was that the carpets were steam-cleaned prior to our arrival. I’m not sure if that is a weekly event or if it was needed due to the previous occupants. It took several days for the carpets to dry causing the home to feel damp most of the week. One (purely selfish) suggestion that would be great would be a second full-size refrigerator on the ground floor to keep drinks in. That would make packing a daily cooler for the beach much easier than having to haul drinks down the stairs each day.

The 3rd floor AC stopped working while were there, the staff had the repairman out the same day had it fixed. Location to beach is great....

Beach vacation

Loved the closeness to the beach….that was about it. We had great weather, thank goodness. The place is in desperate need of major TLC & complete renovation. It was dirty & smelled. We had someone there almost every day (not always convenient!) to correct issues (broken or missing lights, dirty carpets, house not clean, pool cues broken, leak over washer & dryer & in one bedroom, broken doors, missing & broken blinds, torn screens, cobwebs, oven didn’t work & neither did light, upstairs bathroom had issues, …..should I go on? The house has great potential, but should not be rented until everything fixed!!

Highly disappointed! Do not rent!!!

We checked into a house that apparently had extensive water damage from rain the previous week. No one told us. No one warned us. We walked into a musty, moldy environment. 3 large blowers were loudly blowing in 3 bedrooms. 3 very large dehumidifiers were next to them running. No one ever warned us, no heads up, nothing! One bedroom had the equipment removed on day 5. The king bedroom ended up having a water exit tube taped to the carpet and all the way across the bedroom up the wall, around the sink faucet and emptying into the sink. I repeat, a dirty black (it was supposed to be clear but was filthy) tube emptied into the sink…where we brush our teeth. Absolutely disgusting. Friday they lifted the carpet and blew a fan underneath of it in an attempt to dry it as it was still soaking wet…and soiled horribly! So not okay in any capacity. There is obvious structural damage from continued water leaks all throughout the house. Black mold behind the wall paper in bunk room. Black mold around ceiling vents. 3 of us developed croup coughs… Other issues: Shattered tv in pool/rec area. No blankets for beds. Only have the pillows had cases. No dish towels or oven mits. Inexcusable lack of communication. Or zero. No calls back. No sense of urgency. Hot tub is pretty old and falling apart. Screens ripped or missing on several windows. Too much to add… What a disappointment and even more so what a health risk!!!

Enjoying the property and dealing with you but we would have preferred easier access to the tubs they were very hard to get in and out Well-stocked kitchen loved having coffee on the top decks looking at ocean & watching sun rises

Relaxing Vacation in the Outer Banks!

Thank you for allowing our family to be together at Thanksgiving in your home. We had a lovely time and enjoyed everything! It is a nice house with a great hot tub outside which my children enjoyed. The only complaint from my children was that the pool sticks for the pool table need to be replaced though they did enjoy playing everyday. Corolla Light has great amenities which we enjoyed as well. The house is located so close to the beach and we could see the dolphins from the house! Thank you again for the great memories we made at your home.

Nice but older home

Very spacious with good views of the ocean. Close to food and shopping. Lots of stairs! One bedroom had a patched ceiling that fell after a rain while there. One window in the shipwatch was broken so it fogged up, blocking the view. Door locks are tricky and easy to be left unlocked. Property manager was very helpful and quick to respond to any issues.

Just don't do it

Picture your dream vacation, the one where everyone is happy, having a great time and memories are made and talked about for years and years. Now set it on fire, scoop up the ashes and flush them down the toilet. That's what this place is. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a musty aroma in the basement and an ever running faucet. Head upstairs and you'll see water damaged walls that are peeling. Go in to any of the bathrooms and you'll be sure to see the mold and mildew growing in them. Don't bring kids because the bunk bed ceiling is ready to cave in any minute now. Like bugs? Great! There's TONS of them smashed on the walls throughout the entire place. Not enough bugs for you? EVEN BETTER! They have an entire front porch worth of dead insects. After all of that, you probably want to go lay down in the king size bedroom. Enjoy the hole in the ceiling cut out and not repaired, complete with soaking wet carpet below. Not your cup of tea? Enjoy the room opposite complete with not one, but two areas of the ceiling that look like they threw paint on to cover up the mold from the water damage. Get the gist yet? This place should be demo'd or gutted and rebuilt. Luckily, when I called the property manager, she was extremely apologetic and found us a better, bigger and cleaner place to stay for the week, saving our vacation. But in all seriousness, DO NOT stay in this home. You will absolutely regret it.

Family 50th Anniversary Celebration

Property size was perfect for our week - lots of plates and stainless, stairs quiet, water always hot :) Sand vacuumed!! Needs TLC!! Burners on stove not always working, hot tub not working (control panel unreadable), living room furniture stained, blinds broken LATE CHECK IN was really annoying - no contact with anyone as we waited under the beach gazebo

Great vacation home

Just did this for Vacasa but briefly, it was a spacious and comfortable home. Nice décor. Well stocked kitchen. Loved the big jacuzzi, hot tub and pool table. Nice panoramic view from the little room just up from the living room. Could see the lighthouse as well as the ocean. Had its own TV, refrigerator and couches and table.

Location, location, location

House is right across the street from a short beach access walkway and has great ocean views and sounds from the decks. House needs some cleaning, updating and maintenance.
