Very centrally located which makes walking to restaurants easy. Unit was clean, furnished well and the kitchen had everything one would need. We enjoy the building and the ski locker amenity. Our visit was perfect.

Small, but Conveniently Located

We always like staying in Howelsen Place because it is so conveniently located. The bus route makes getting to the slopes incredibly easy. This year, we stayed in A301 and it worked out well for a family of 3. Pros: Location, location, location - extremely accessible to town and, importantly, restaurants All the amenities of home - clean bathroom, working appliances, washer/dryer Plenty of linens to go around Plenty of plates/cups/glassware/silverware, might could use a few more coffee mugs, though! All instructions very clear and management provides detailed information via online and in-home documentation The included locker located at the mountain base is incredibly convenient and saves us quite a bit of money storing our gear. Excellent amenity to have. Property management was extremely attentive to a minor issue we had arise, Steamboat Lodging as a whole has always been on top of things. The included parking garage spot is a huge plus that will keep us coming back. Cons: This property was not well enough equipped for cooking, it needs some additional and/or new cooking utensils and pots/pans desperately. Some utensils were broken and pans were old/scratched teflon, so I purchased two inexpensive pans and left them for the next tenant. In this area, it was sparsely supplied and could use an update very much! We were almost always too hot at night, even in winter time. This can be good or bad depending on the person, but we found the bed to sleep very, very warm, so keep that in mind.

This is a nice litte condo unit; well kept, mostly well equipped, and very well located in downtown Steamboat. My issues were relatively minor and mostly addressed by the Steamboat Lodging Co employees who responded to problems. This included not being able to get into the building initially (the code had been changed and not included in the directions). The shower head being so high and difficult to change between handheld and regular. And finally, the parking spot for the unit being in the other building in the complex. Mostly minor and workable, but for the price, we expected more. Also, we found that these units are less expensive if booked directly with Steamboat Lodging.

There was not any bedding other than a comforter available for the pull out sofa bed. No AC was available or was just not working. Room temp was a consistent 77 degrees on a cool fall weekend. Floor radiator by the windows was extremely hot and did not respond to any adjustment on the thermostat.

Howleson Place

Great place with a great location if you want to stay in downtown Steamboat and not need a car. Access was easy and the communication was great. About the only complaint I have is that I would have preferred a larger bed. It was very comfortable but could easily have fit a king or even a queen. This one felt almost like a full.

The condo is well located, a nice space with good kitchen and air conditioning. The bathroom is OK - poorly desinged - not enough towel racks, especialy none by the sink. The knob to shift between shower nozzles never quite shifts to only one of them going at a time. The bed is way too soft. While we were there the elevator was out the whoe time. Management claimed it was the resposiiblity of the HOA - if so, the HOA should have someone checking this and quicklly solving any probllem.

Wonderful Stay

Great Welcome Package!!!Thank You. Our Anniversary and the celebration began coming through the door with several treats. The BED was wonderful and the appointments in the condo were great. Cleanliness was perfect. Location was ideal, coming out the door to town, farmers market out your door on Saturday, then restaurants and Howlsen Hill and bike/walking path across the street. Thank You

Location!!!

The location couldn’t be better. The condo was clean and tidy, kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was so comfy! We didn’t need to communicate we management since all the instructions were sent to us prior to arrival and made perfect sense. Thank you for a fun stay!

Can not beat the location!

LOCATION is perfect for access to restaurants and the Steamboat bus system. If you ski, the use of the ski locker at the mountain is a major bonus! It really enhanced our skiing experience. The condo was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen is equipped with all the essential items ( pots, pans, two types of coffee makers, a tea kettle, sharp knives, plenty of dishes, glasses, containers)Bed is very comfortable multiple pillows, shower works great, more than enough towels. Love the bench and hooks for our ski things. It seems like thought was given providing everything one would need for an enjoyable stay. Communication with manager could not be better. They are very quick and responsive to any questions that we had. My only issue was the peeling paint most likely caused by water damage above the kitchen island. Overall, we were very happy with this condo.

Perfect Unit and location!

Wow! The unit was beautiful, modern, spacious, and the location was PRIME! The price was very reasonable, the management company was VERY helpful and generous, and the area was quiet yet central. The garbage was a little difficult to find, but we figured it out. You must stay here!

Steamboat visit

The property was perfect for our short stay in Steamboat. Location near the Yampa and dining on Lincoln is why we always look to stay at properties in Howlisen place. The unit was clean, well equipped and very quiet.

A few days in Steamboat

The property was as described, clean, and welcoming. Great location with secure parking in downtown Steamboat. Parking is across the alley and getting into buildings can be a bit confusing but great detailed instructions are provided.

Quick stay in Steamboat

This property was perfect for our stop in Steamboat Springs before heading north for a running camp. The location was ideal for walking to restaurants and shops. It was a bonus for the summer farmers market to be right outside of the building. Although downtown, the unit is very quiet! If you are flying into Steamboat, make sure to arrange for airport transportation ahead of time. The shuttle was very helpful. There are not a lot of Uber/ taxi options or car rental options. So, even though the location is super convenient, if planning excursions outside of Steamboat, book transportation before arriving.

Perfect location

The location was absolutely perfect for us. We walked to Holy Name Catholic Church for the wedding we were attending; walked to the rodeo Friday night, and walked to the river for tubing. The Saturday farmers market was literally out the front door. It is downtown, so the underground parking was appreciated. It has central air, which was much needed in the hot July weather. We had a couple of things that needed repair, and a friendly worker named Ben was sent out promptly. The bed is only queen sized, but comfortable. The bathroom is in the bedroom, so IDK how anyone else but kids would really stay-more for a single or couple.Many great restaurants very close by. We especially enjoyed Clyde's for wood-fired pizza and Emerald's coffee right downstairs. Small, but comfortable and certainly well located for all the action.

Perfect Location Wonderful stay

We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect. Across the street is the Yampa River with bars and restaurants on the banks of the river. The Farmers Market was on the street in front of us. There is tubing down the Yampa. The Howler Alpine Slide was so fun. The Art Fair, Strawberry Hot Springs, Beseme dinner was wonderful. A+++
