This exquisite oceanfront getaway features wide open living spaces, soaring ceilings, large windows, and plenty of amenities to ensure you have a truly memorable vacation at the coast. This lovely artisan home was built by the owners, a father and son. The tile work and bathroom sinks, as well as all of the art and pottery, was the work of the late owner’s wife. Prepare your favorite recipes in the well-equipped kitchen, and then dine together at the adjacent table. And in the evenings, or on lazy or rainy days, you'll find an inviting living area with a large, flatscreen TV. This home also includes complimentary internet access and a desk and chair in the upstairs bedroom in case you need to sneak off for remote work or schooling. Come and discover the hidden pleasures of Sea Ranch!

Sea Ranch is a planned, oceanside community boasting uniquely designed homes, the historic Sea Ranch Chapel, and a 50-mile trail system with multiple beach access points. Take morning walks down to Stengel Beach located less than a mile north or Pebble Beach, just a little over a mile south. Bring your clubs and tee off among the cypress at the Sea Ranch Golf Links five miles up PCH. And explore the markets, restaurants, and galleries in downtown Gualala, just six miles north.

The most peaceful stay in all of CA

We woke up every day with stags grazing outside the porch and ended every night under hundreds of stars. The Vacasa/Vrbo team was responsive to all of our needs. I know we well be back as soon as possible

Why we chose Albatross Reach

Loved the view of big swells coming in and waves breaking on distant rocks . Nice to get up and hike along the bluff trail without having to drive.

Good to be back.

My brother, myself, and a friend have a history at Sea Ranch that goes back more than 50 years, so it was good to be back. The Sea Ranch speaks for itself and I would rent the same home again. The bathroom sinks are a bit odd, but it's a great location. Upon returning home I mistakenly thought that I might have left something at the house and I was impressed at how responsive Natalie, Joanne(sp?) and Jodi(sp?) were when I called Vacasa while trying to track down the items that I eventually found.

Sweet retro spot at the ocean's edge!

Fabulously situated with grand views of the ocean from most every room. The cozy home was very clean and well equipped and we found the beds to be quite comfortable. Some of the window blinds were quite difficult to navigate -- it's an older home, for sure, but it suited us just fine. TIP: If rain is in the forecast, bring earplugs! The upstairs bedroom was very very loud during the rainy night. We moved to the downstairs bedroom halfway through the night!

Rustic house in beautiful location

Location of the house is amazing - steps from the trails and bluffs with beautiful views. The house could have been cleaner. There was some dust and spider webs in the corners. But overall, we had a great visit. Bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Seems like the electric range has been replaced recently with a nice new one, not matching pictures we saw online. Based on other comments, we brought a small BBQ and grilled on the back porch. Later we found a nice BBQ in a closet… not sure if that is available for guests or not. We had a fire in the fireplace one night, which heated the whole house quite well. The TV is a newer Samsung smart tv which allows easy streaming over wifi. I think we’ll go back again to unwind, relax and listen to the waves.

Terrible house

Where do I began. The view from the house was awesome but the house itself was dirty. When we arrived we noticed there were no toilet paper so we had to run to the nearest store 20 mins away to buy some. Some of the dishes were dirty, there were cobwebs everywhere. There’s a picture of a bbq in the backyard but there was no bbq. The grass was so overgrown. They only gave us 4 towels. We could have used some extra towels especially having kids. The upstairs sliding door was hard to open. All of the blinds and furniture is so outdated. Some of the blinds were hard to open. The house definitely needs to be updated top to bottom. We will definitely not be staying here again.

A lot to be desired

The location of the property was excellent but it is in need of some updates. They only have wall heaters (old) and a nice fireplace but was glad we brought wood, otherwwise it would have been very cold. You should let renters know to bring thier own firewood. Also we had a mini disaster in the kitchen. We arrived Friday night and on Saturday we saw a very large puddle of water on the kitchen floor. Upon opening the doors under the sink we found that someone had put the hose connection tube from the spray handle into a large cooking pot to capture water. The hose was clearly broken, and wirth very little effort someone just jimmy riged the hise into a pot. naturally it overflowed and created a mini flood in the kitchen. We were never told this was broken and clearly as someone put a large pot down to capture the water they knew it was broken. I have pictures and videos of the situation. It was not a pleasent experience and I would overall not go back to this property unless they do some upgrades, especially in the winter.

Great Location

Beautiful location in a home that needs upgrading. The good: waking up to an ocean view and being steps away from a gorgeous coastline. Nothing could compare. This is primarily why it gets 4 stars. The bad: Furniture is dated and fire alarm malfunctioned during our stay, where it kept going off repeatedly. It was located out of reach but I scaled the counters to pull it down to silence it, it continued to alarm multiple times thereafter. The front right stove does not function, and the coffee table was broken. The blinds are hard to move and need replaced. In addition, the sliding door upstairs is extremely hard to open and close. All in all worth the ocean view, but would probably find a better rental next trip.

great location, very dated

The pictures enhance the true nature of this property. Not one thing I could see has been updated since the early 80's - even the appliances are from this period. The blinds badly need to be replaced and you will get plenty of sun in the morning, regardless of what you do. There is NO cable. Only internet and the TV won't let you get to place where you can add other apps. The pillows and beds are uncomfortable. Location is not waterfront but it is a short distance. The property to the right of the picture of the water has the primary spot. The garbage area was disgusting.

Relaxing stay in well maintained property

Ideal location and fantastic view of the ocean. All amenities as advertised. Beautiful custom tile work in kitchen and bathrooms. The property manager Vacasa was very helpful and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again. 5 stars!

Amazing vacation.

House is on a cul-de-sac. With no neighbour’s during our stay. The only real neighbour’s was a herd of deers casually grazing and resting under the shade of a tree almost everyday. Stepping out of the house, leads you to a bluff with a full oceanfront. Trails are around this house with easy access to beaches and viewpoints. We even saw seals sunbathing. The house itself is great and well maintained for what we cared. Hope to book this place again.

Overpriced and needs refurbishing, but comfortable and good location.

First, what worked. Great location. Although Stengel Beach was closed, we could walk to Ohlson Beach and visit it at low tide. We could walk in the other direction to the seal preserve and watch the seals. The kitchen is well furnished and large. I have arthritis and I found the illogical entrance way difficult to navigate: 4 steps down, then a short walk, then four or so steps up into the house. There is no guard rail on the first set of steps. There were no instructions for using the TV and we couldn't figure out the remote. The light beside the downstairs bed is broken: the on off switch is broken and won't work and the light is not stable if it did work. It needs to be replaced. Luckily I had a Kindle Paperwhite and could read in the dark. There is no real shower in the downstairs bath and we didn't use the tub because of the draught. Shower upstairs works well. There is a lot of water damage in the house and I got three splinters from touching the walls, which are not finished in most of the house. The outside has had some shingles replaced on the upper floor, but the outside shingles need to all be replaced. The bed was very comfortable. We did not use the bedroom heater while we were sleeping, but a possibly down comforter kept us warm and cosy. The coffee pot is a Mr. Coffee pot and filters were provided. I brought everything including olive oil for cooking with me and I was glad I did. The washer and dryer work well and are efficient. We brought our own detergent pods. The dish washer is large and also works well. Dish washer and sink soap was provided. The views from the house are lovely.

Most Magical Vacation Ever

We have stayed at a lot of places over the years and this was the most amazing place to stay. The house is retro cool with the most amazing view of the ocean. The house is directly on the ocean as well. Beautiful cliffs and rocks on the ocean. Sea Ranch is now our favorite place to stay. I just cannot say enough good things about this amazing home and Sea Ranch. The house was so beautiful and comfortable. We felt right at home. The coastal trail is right in the back yard as well. We will DEFINITELY be back. Vacasa was amazing to deal with too. They made this vacation spectacular! Thank you so very much!

Nice but has a few easily solvable problems

We enjoyed ourselves very much in the house because of the warm wood interior, the spaciousness of the living room, the lovely location, and the beautiful views. However, we found a number of items that would benefit from attention: 1:several light bulbs in the kitchen were burnt out 2: circulating fan in fireplace is extremely noisy and seems to be in need of repair 3: the fireplace screen needs repair 4: upstairs balcony door requires extreme force to open 5: blinds of one window upstairs fell down upon touching (screws fell out of the wall) 6: lowest slats in blinds in dining room area window are loose 7: stove top burners and oven need a thorough cleaning 8: various pots/pans and other dishes were dirty/greasy—no appropriate cleaning materials were supplied (we might have tried to clean them ourselves) 9: lazy susans in corner cabinets would not turn 10: inside garbage bins were dirty to the touch 11: outside BBQ was filthy; suggest you get a BBQ without holes in the bottom because hot coals fall through and scar the nice wooden deck 12:place mats in drawers were dripping wet 13: rubber ‘feet’ on toilet seats in both bathrooms are missing 14: shower arrangement in the lower bathroom would improve with a proper shower head and holder that allows you to shower standing up without flooding the entire bathroom. A shower curtain would help as well. We could have taken baths, but who wants to waste that much water in a drought?! Please don’t get us wrong; we write this because other renters might feel the same way. My husband and I have been renting homes at Sea Ranch for about 40 years and will continue to do so if the conditions meet our expectations

Beautiful views!

This is a great quiet property that is well maintained, very clean, and has beautiful views. We enjoyed our stay, even with nearby amenities being mostly closed due to the pandemic.

What a view

it was so wonderful having the space for my hunny and I. Full length tub in the downstairs bathroom. Upstairs has a beautiful shower witch my honey really enjoyed. kitchen has all the appliances to cook and feels like a home. Very relaxing.
