First and foremost I have been to PV many times and stayed in numerous rentals. This rental was by far the worst. The view was pretty much the only positive. The house was in a neglected state. To call this house a 5 bedroom is over eggagerated. Yes, there are 5 rooms with beds, but to access one of the bedrooms was interesting, you had to go through a laundry room (of which, the doorknob was broken and tied open with a piece of twine) and go up a very steep and tight spiral metal staircase. The quality of the bedding was poor, there were cigarette burns and permanent stains visible on some of the comforters. Upon arriving we also noticed the base bedroom’s door handle was broken and the door would not latch closed. There was termite damage in doors, furniture, wooden edging, and other places. Cushions were tattered/ripped. There was sharp chicken wire tied to the main view’s metal railing overlooking the ocean. The older woman who was housekeeper seemed rude and unwelcoming. I could go on. Upon entry and the finding out the state of the place, we contacted the host and expressed our findings and displeasure. He made a lot of excuses and claimed he had no idea. The bedroom door handle was ultimately fixed, but the rest of the house remained in the state it was in for the duration. We made the best of it, but it started our vacation very negatively. We felt we did not get our moneys worth. We would not recommend staying here for the cost. I wish I could attach pictures.
