This is the perfect place for families and their furry friends. It is located in the heart of ocean beach. Within a 2 minute walk to downtown. Our place has all the amenities for the family. Plenty of bikes scooters and of course all the beach stuff. We hope you enjoy our home and have fun.

A comfortable house with great set up for kids, perfect location in Ocean Beach. The house was well equipped for kids - multiple pack n plays, kids dishes, duplos and other toys, beach toys. The open living room and lovely porch were great spaces to hang out and eat. Location can’t be beat - an easy wagon from the ferry, a few steps from coffee and restaurants in OB, and a short walk to the beach.

The house was a perfect size for my family and nicely layed out. Living room had plenty of space to hang together and which was the reason to rent a house together. The house did not disappoint and we have a great week there.

We had a great stay !

Only recommendation would be to upgrade the beach chairs . The house was very Homie and comfortable and plenty big. Would definitely stay again.

Our first visit to Fire Island and it was more than we had hoped for! This home is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Really comfortable beds too. The location was close to everything!

Summer vacation

Our family and friends do a week long annual trip to fire island each year. The host always responded so quickly and the house itself was perfect. Great location and setup. We had an amazing week.

Ocean Beach pleasure

This is the second time I have stayed at this property and it is still as fabulous as it was 3 years ago when I stayed the first time. The furniture is very comfortable, the home is clean and the owners are fabulous to communicate with. Any question we had, was answered immediately. I will definitely book with them in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect fire island house

The Raabbit hole was perfect and exactly what we needed! Austin did a great job stocking the house with everything you need so we didn’t have to overpack for the ferry. He was extremely accommodating and responsive. Would be a pleasure to stay here again!

A great Fire Island family getaway

The property was bright, clean and well-cared for. We had a wonderful time and particularly enjoyed the Sonos system, board games, and kitchen. The house has all the nice updates we were looking for in a modern rental, while still having enough rustic details to not feel sterile. A few of the inevitable vacation home problems came up (clogged toilet, ran out of propane) and Austin was on each of those things immediately and got them resolved quickly.

Perfect beach house

The Raabbit Hole had it all. We were two families with children staying here and the house had everything you could possibly need and More. The house is a close to shops, ferry and beach and was stocked with toys for the kids, bikes, beach chairs, games and more. The house was clean, well stocked and so much fun! The owner was quick to answer any questions and very informative and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better spot to spend a relaxing beach vacation.

This is a great location! A few things that would have helped with our stay. 1- one more couch in the living area- only seating for 5 2- more pots and pans to cook for 9 people 3- a larger garbage area with locks - I spent 2 hours cleaning up after the deer got into the garbage closet outside.

ultimate family beach vacation

Location and host responsiveness were excellent. We were a family of a grandpa, grandma , 2 sons and daughter and respective significant others. A 6 and 2 year old with a dog. Enough room for everyone and great deck with grill for family dinners. Only issue is with the plumbing. There is 3 toilets and when there was heavy rain 2 of them were not functional. The island and property is perfect for a beach family vaction!

A wonderful two weeks!

Our stay in July of 2021 for two weeks was nothing short of fabulous! The house was very clean upon arrival, beds were comfortable (as well as the couches in the living room). The house has a very comfortable feel upon arrival so you feel right at home. There are plenty of toys for the kids to play with as well as pack and plays for them to sleep. A/C in every room so everyone was comfortable at night to their own liking - not like central a/c. The dining area table is big enough for all to sit and play games. The location is perfect to town and only a 4-5 minute walk to the beach. The owners are always available for questions and very accommodating. I would definitely rent this home again!

Disappointed by the moldy bathrooms but great location

After renting houses in Ocean Beach for several decades this one is not to be repeated for us. The outdoor shower was green slimy moldy. Which is usually one of our favorite things to use at the beach. Both bathrooms were dirty and moldy. The bathroom sink sprayed all over you and the walls when turned on. The bikes were rusty and falling apart and had to be repaired Although the owner was responsive and sent a plumber to look at the faucet it was never fixed. He sent cleaners to address the bathrooms but there was only so much they could do since the mold was really all in the tiles and bases of the bathroom showers. He refused to power wash the outdoor shower so it was unusable. The toilets did not flush the first two days due to backup from the drainage system which he said was from a lot of rain. Prior rentals were done using real estate agents who have more pride in the properties they list so those tend to be well maintained. This is the last time I will use VRBO for Ocean Beach rentals as there is no accountability for bad service. Also the house was left with many of the owners personal belongings everywhere that needed to be moved out of the way. Shoes, baby clothes, baby toys and items left everywhere made us feel cluttered and had to move things to make space in the common areas. We asked for a partial refund which was denied.

Great Vacation! Come to Relax

Had a great vacation w our adult kids, grandchild and friends. House is exactly as pictured and very comfortable for us and our dog. Kid friendly doesn’t describe it. From Pak N Plays, high chairs, books, toys and beach toys, your goal is to bring as little as possible and just enjoy fire island. As a new fire island person, I loved the location, which is slightly closer to town than the beach but the beach is so close anyway it’s not an issue. A/c’s in all rooms, fans and it’s cool at night and we slept with windows open and the ocean breeze. The stackable w/d is surprisingly excellent. Outdoor shower doesn’t look like much but was awesome and we all used it coming back from the beach. Not often you take a vacation and everyone is happy. Thanks for a great end of summer!

This lovely house was clean and comfortable. The location was great, and came with many extras, including bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, and baby equpiment. The owner was helpful and responsive. We had a wonderful family trip, and would love to return again soon !
