Rushing Bear is a beautiful cabin nestled next to a rushing creek. Relax on the large deck to the sounds of the water, so tranquil ! Enjoy the creekside firepit. Situated on two lots so you have plenty of room for outdoor activities and enjoy the mountain scenery.

Great location in the heart of Maggie Valley. The vaulted ceilings and custom finishes in this fully furnished cabin are impeccable. Super comfortable 2 bedroom & 2 bath cabin with hickory hardwood floors, a fireplace and an amazing creekside location. Master bedroom downstairs has King size bed, upstairs bedroom is Queen size.

Located in beautiful Dogwood Trails, a small mountain neighborhood with gated entryway, a rushing stream and pavilion with firepit for your use.

Only a 5 minute drive down the mountain on all paved roads to central Maggie Valley for area shopping and dining. Just a 10 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 30 minute drive to the entry of Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Rushing Bear is in a beautiful mountain creekside location, awesome cabin experience with all the comforts of home. This will become your home away from home for great vacations again and again.

Fast 200MB WIFI, YouTube TV featuring HBO. Central heat and AC, fully stocked kitchen, wrap- around porch to enjoy the mountain scenery and cool mountain breezes. The cabin is clean and beautiful, very comfortable, and you will love the setting and location.

Rushing Bear is a pet friendly cabin. Please inform owner of the kind of pet, the breed and the size/weight. Pet fee of $100 per stay, is "per pet." If you have more than one pet, a request for payment for the second or third pet will be sent after you book. Please declare the number of pets you are brining when booking.

Rushing Bear was a perfect home away from home for our visit to Maggie Valley. Comfortable, inviting, and the fire pit area in the back made the evenings that much more cozy. The host was very accommodating and we had everything we needed to make this an exceptional get-away. Thank you, Jane, we hope to be back soon and would love to stay here again!

Loved this super clean cabin. Appreciated the well stocked with appliances kit hen.The weather didn’t cooperate but we made the best of it. A longer stay next time for sure.

I had a fantastic stay at this mountain cabin! The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful views, making it the perfect place to unwind. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. I especially loved the fireplace and the porch overlooking the trees. The host was friendly and responsive, which made the whole experience even better. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Rushing Bear is a charming cabin and a true compliment to Maggie Valley. We found it inviting and quite private. With two 5 Star restaurants minutes away we didn't need the fully equipped kitchen, but it was nice that it was there. Loved the bed in the Master! The colors in the Fall are awesome and we can give Rushing Bear "Our" 5 Star rating. Thank you for a lovely getaway

Jane is a pleasant and receptive host. Rushing Bear is a very nice cabin with many amenities. I wish we had scheduled a longer stay!

Everything was wonderful. The unit was as described. Very clean. Instructions on arrival very concise. Beautiful place with a rushing stream down below. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sadly we were there for 3 of the rainiest days in October, but still enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely rent again.

We have stayed here several time, this time the cabin could use a deep clean. Upon arrival we found someone else’s clothes still in the drawers, the bed did not seem to have clean sheets on it since it was disheveled under the comforter. the dog barking across the street is maddening, non stop barking. My husband checked all the windows and all were unlocked on the first floor and very hard to lock them.

The cabin was wonderful - our stay in Maggie Valley was awesome. Just a hint of the leaves changing and a little bit of cooler weather. Jane (the host) was very attentive to any questions etc. We will definetly stay here again.

The cabin was just as listed. It was very clean, very spacious very easy to access had absolutely everything that we needed and one of the best places I’ve staying at so far I would recommend this for friends and family 100%.

Weekend getaway

Just a mile up from Soco Rd, but once the gate closes behind you it is like you are miles away from everything. Very peaceful and relaxing. Just what we were looking for.

Cabin was great. Location was good. Dogs bark constantly from across the street. There is no peace & quite. Even when you are in the Cabin, the barking will wake you up.

Great dog-friendly creekside cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rushing Bear. The gated porch and side yard were perfect for our dog to be with us. The cabin is very clean and accommodating. The owner is very responsive to all communication. We were pleasantly surprised to find an actual bedroom upstairs since there isn't one pictured. We thought our teen son would need to sleep in the bed in the loft that was pictured, but he ended up having more privacy than expected. One thing to note is that it isn't as secluded as it appears in the pics. There are several cabins nearby. It's a nice neighborhood though and we had elks visit us one evening!

Pros and cons

Beautiful cabin. Dogs barking across the street all day and night. Very disturbing. I can’t believe that hasn’t been addressed sooner. Otherwise it certainly was a good experience. Great location.
