Classic semi-ocean front beach cottage with a hot tub! This very comfortable house is so close to the beach that you can easily sway in the hammock to the sounds of the waves. There are wonderful ocean views from the open Great room and large screened in porch. Relax in this amazing area and watch the sun rise and dolphin swim by from the comfort of your own home. The house is set up with two ocean facing Queen bedrooms each with ocean views and deck access that share jack n jill bathrooms with a twin and bunk room. The set up makes this house perfectly suited for 2 families or 1 extended family to enjoy the iconic Nags Head beach lifestyle. For your convenience there is even a luggage lift to assist in getting the groceries to the third floor newly renovated kitchen.

Top Floor/ Large ocean front screened Porch off of the open Great Room with a dining table (6), large living room with smart TV, newly renovated, well stocked (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc) kitchen with large center island (seats 4), extra game table (4), sunset deck (sound views - even a glimpse of the Bodie Island lighthouse), and powder room.

First Floor/ Queen ocean side bedroom with TV and deck access shares Jack 'n' Jill bathroom with bedroom with DuoBunk. A 2nd Queen ocean side bedroom with deck access shares Jack 'n' Jill bathroom with bedroom with 2 twin beds.Ground Level/ Laundry with washer, dryer, and toilet, Hot Tub (6), outside shower, foot wash, fish cleaning station.

Great Place!

We loved the house the views are awesome and a very short walk to the beach. I wish the house had a wagon to help take you stuff to the beach and the beds are not great very hard that was the only thing that was not great. I had my family together so that made it perfect!

Perfect location for the perfect vacation

This place is ideal for any vacation. We had 2 families of 4 and it was perfect. The location is absolutely the best. It's one house back from the beach and beach access is 5 houses down in either direction, less then 100 yards. The beach is basically private as only the homes in that area set up in that location. We can't wait to rent it again.

Comfy and great get away

Generally great stay, other than the malfunctioning of the lift: which was addressed. Good outfitted kitchen: Top outside porch: great morning spot for coffee Five friends in group: all were happy with setting.

Cozy & Clean

Started out at another house but there was an issue with that home so our family had to find another one fast! Owners got back to us ASAP and their home was perfect for us. Wish we would have found it before original booking. Easy walk to beach and beautiful kitchen. Screened in porch with wonderful view was our favorite hang out spot!

Wonderful Stay

We had a great time here with 2 adults and 3 children 5 years old and under. The property is as pictured, with beautiful views of the beach. Everything was clean and spotless. The kitchen was well-appointed. Beach access was about 5 houses down. It's a quick easy walk for adults/teens, and a little more difficult with multiple small children. Make sure to have activities planned out for small kids, as most places close at 5 pm. Lastly, make sure to bring extra towels as bath mats, as there are not any in the bathrooms.

Host refuses to address any issues at the property. Rooms are very small with even smaller bathrooms. Jack n Jill bathrooms connect to your rooms and walls are paper thin. Upstairs bathroom does not have a shower so you only have 2 showers to share. Multiple people in our group got splinters in our feet from the carpeted on the steps. When you get to the property if you don’t strip the beds, take the bedding to the laundry room, take out the trash, etc before you leave it’s an extra 200 charge. Beach construction was going on right outside and even though the cleaners were there an hour before we were they didn’t give us a heads up. We had no beach access from the property for 4 of our 7 day stay and the host was very rude and unprofessional when we called and asked why they didn’t give us a heads up while we were on our way so we could prepare to have to drive to the beaches instead of walk. House looks like you can walk out and straight onto the beach but it is actually a row back and you have to walk around to get to the beach on both sides. You could only use the jets on one side of the hot tub or the filter would shoot out and all the bugs would come out of the filter into the water. I got stung multiple times because of this happening. Overall not worth the price at all. We checked prices and there are multiple houses closer to the beach in the same area for a better price with more room and better accommodations. Also, nicer hosts. I would never rent here again.

Hi Bianca, We are so sorry that your group did not enjoy your stay at our house. Your dissatisfaction was all directed at the beach nourishment that was happening rather than the house itself. No issues about the actual property were reported to us. The only issue that was reported was that beach nourishment was happening during your stay. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing ahead of time where they will be at any given day and it is just luck of the draw as to if it will be in front of your property during your stay. This is something that we do not refund for. Beach nourishment is very important for the longevity of our beaches and it is something that has become more of a normal occurrence on all beaches over the past decade. The good news is it is now done in front of this house and this area won't be due for a new beach nourishment for a few years. Leslie

Unassuming and yet WOW

From the get-go of looking for properties for our vacation in OBX, this property checked all the boxes. Number of bedrooms, ocean views, layout we were looking for, etc. The communication with the rental management was wonderful and responsive, and we were very much looking forward to our time in the area. Now when I say unassuming, that is in no way a negative. Some houses have a curb appeal that is all hype and then can be very underwhelming on the interior. Neon Moon was quite the opposite. Her weathered exterior has an understated presence, and yet upon entering you are blown away with it's hidden perfection. The open layout, spacious kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and wonderful outdoor deck space are just a few of the things we loved about staying here. We loved the neighborhood setting off the main road, the two options of beach access, and how a bit removed the home was from the traffic and frenzy of summer at the beach. We couldn't have been happier with our stay, and found everything to be exactly as described. For the price, location, comfort, and ease of working with management - this is very much an unassuming gem of a home in Nags Head!

Wonderful property and location
