What a spectacular view from this home!My family stayed one night at this property for a triathlon taking place at Arrowhead Lake. It was conveniently located about three minutes from the lake. The downstairs and main level beds were very comfortable and the host was quick to respond with any questions. Be mindful that cell reception is not great, so you may want to consider making note of the reservation details (specifically wifi) prior to your arrival. If you plan to utilize all bathrooms, you may want to bring extra toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body was) as only one bathroom was fully stocked and there are no close by stores that we saw.

The inside of house was clean and nice. Only has 4 private bedrooms. The issues with this place is the outside of house. Pool is NOT as it appears in the pictures, nor the landscape. There was trash, such as broken chair and other debris around the pool. I complained about the grass and weeds/poison ivy growing through stairs to pool and grass not cut around back of house toward the wood storage. They did cone the next day and cut grass and weeds away from steps and pool. Otherwise the house inside was nice.

House was nothing like it was advertised on VRBO. All amenities list were not available. The pool had algae, not enough water to even properly run the filter was not safe for swimming. Weed and grass was not maintained. Deck steps to pool were covered in weeds. Kitchen was dirty other guest towels and clothing left on property. Front porch post were not attached at the top creating a risk of fall.

Great Location

The cabin had great views of the mountain and very close to the park. The beds were comfortable and had a strong WiFi. The host was quick to respond to our questions. The only complaint would be that the water pressure was very, very weak.

Great location. Very good amenities

The owner had provided great amenities and kitchen appliances which made out stay great. Given that it was winter and we planned to stay indoor for most of the time this helped us a lot.

Lots of room... And goats!

Pleasant house with working pool and hot tub. We had 3 families and each had their own floor. Downstairs has its separate kitchen. The kids loved seeing the 5 goats on the property and visiting them daily. About 1/2 hour from the park.

Great view

The home overall was nice and worked great for location near the national park. Plenty of bedrooms. The upstairs loft worked great for a couple of our couples. The pool and hot tub were great. The floors should have been cleaned better by the cleaning staff before we arrived but the host was very prompt to reply and address it. The only bigger issue is that the water pressure isn't the best for showers and such

I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. While the location is beautiful, the property is very underwhelming, especially at the price they're charging. I reserved the house for myself and my siblings, their spouses and our parents for the weekend of a family wedding, and let's just say, no one was impressed with my choice. The main complaint was that it was infested with ladybugs. They said they would take care of cleaning them up and put down a treatment but they didn't really clean and any treatment just meant dead ladybugs added to the mix. It's the country, of course, so bugs and such may be inevitable but when you're standing in the kitchen eating and a bug randomly drops onto you, it's something else. Even if the ladybug infestation wasn't there, my brother said his bed in the basement was dirty. And there were small repairs that would be easy to fix -- for example, the panel in one of the photos in the main bath was just leaning against the tub and the upstairs bathroom had several holes in the wall where the toilet paper holder had fallen down and was just placed in the sink cabinet. It doesn't give the feeling that anyone cares about it or is taking good care of the property. The beds have flat pillows and one thin blanket. It's just not a "nice" place to stay the rates they charge set up an expectation that it would be nicer. Split four ways it was over 450 each for two nights. There have got to be better places to stay for that.

We regret this trip

We were disappointed as the property listing was not accurate. There are only 4 bedrooms, not 5. We had 5 couples who were going to stay at the property. however, when we get there, there are only 4 bedrooms. So 1 couple ended up not joining us at the house and only did things with us in the surrounding area, although we had to pay for the extra guests fee for 2 nights bc this was paid in advance. When I talked to the host, it was not acknowledged that there was no 5th bedroom. If we had known this, we would not have booked this property. There was no double Murphy bed, they replaced it with twin trundle, listing was not updated. There was a lot of bugs in the house, we only discovered that 1 of the window in the bedroom was open the next day since we got there when it was dark. Communication through text was faster than through Vrbo and it seems like 2 different people were managing the chats. All the people who went into the hot tubs got very sick with GI symptoms a day after. We think it’s from the hot tub but that cannot be proven.

Deceptive listing - Dirty - Roaches - Services missing – OWNER DOESN’T CARE - AVOID THIS LISTING

Listing is extremely deceptive Pictures show a pool, but the pool is not open. No cleaning pump, and it smells. Full of dead bugs, no net. Pictures show a small lake behind house. That's the neighbor's pond, no access allowed The "Fifth Bedroom" with a murphy bed in the downstairs living room TV in master bedroom down stairs does not work "Fire place" is a wood stove Dispensers in the showers were empty, and water pressure was not great There is no boat, Kayak or Canoe on property Listing says beach, Beach view, Beach front, Water front, Lake view, Lake, River – None of these are at the property at all There was no Game Room, stereo , music library and limited books / games Wifi Internet is Satellite fed which is extremely temperamental. Dish needs realignment due to being attached to a deck NO bear proof trash receptacles House was not cleaned, no sheets, no clean towels, food and mess left from previous renters Grounds were unkept. Gardner who stopped by unexpected (another problem) said the owner only wants to maintain the front lawn. The rest of the small property has grass and weeds 4 feet high which made it hard to access the animals and garden No info was left for trash pickup Dishwasher was jammed and moldy Grill was the kind you see in public parks, and it was filthy. Had to go buy a brush to scrub it. Small portable grill on the deck was so dirty we didn’t even bother Coffee maker in main kitchen had roaches in it Hot Tub was moldy LOTS of centipedes. Killed about a dozen in the house on the tile on walls every morning. We don’t keep doors or windows open so they are likely coming up the drain. There was a Claw hammer that fell (I caught it) off the top of the Murphy bed when I was pulling the bed down. Good thing it didn’t land on one of my kids. Bottom line: This owner is not ready to be a VRBO host. They did not address the issues we had other then scramble a house cleaner away from a family event to come and do a surface cleaning. This meant we were contained to the basement to stay out of her way out of courtesy for the first day and didn’t get to “enjoy” the house until 10pm. Owners have excuses for everything, and had the gall to blame the cleaner even though she was not told we were coming. The animals on the property were just goats and half of them never came close to you. Don’t rent here. You won’t be happy with what you are paying. VRBO should delist and restrict the owner from future listings.
