This condo had an amazing gulf view. The unit was clean and well maintained. This is our second time staying at SunDestin and we will definitely be coming back. Having the beach just an elevator ride away is a great benefit.

It was very nice,too many remotes fir the t.v.'s which made it hard to figure out,but all in all it was a great place!

Very clean space, perfect amount of daily shower towels, the room smelt amazing! Everything you could need, loved the ice maker

Absolutely beautiful condo. I would definitely stay here again. It was better in person. Beautiful views and great location. Loved having the ship downstairs for essentials and just fun items.

Nice condo

Enjoyed our stay at this condo. Loved the water pressure in the unit( I have very thick hair) i didn’t have to spend forever rinsing the shampoo out. Beach service was great. Pelicans roost is very convenient to grab a quick bite without having to wait in line like the other restaurants. Highly recommend Sundestin.

Great place to Stay

All of our encounters with guest services were excellent, always wanted to help. Loved the variety of the gift shop. Have stayed there many times over the past years. Condo we stayed in this time seemed very outdated and needs some renewal. Also love seeing the emails, when we got back about newly renovated properties at Sundestin, from ScenicStays, wish we had them before. Thanks again

Our stay

While there was a washer and dryer on our floor, not having one inside the condo was a bummer. Each time the air condition kicked on it sounded like a freight train coming through the bedroom. Having a full service restaurant and a great store downstairs (with bagged ice to purchase daily) was awesome! All of the employees that we came in contact with were super nice and helpful.

Nice spot but banging air conditioning unit in bedroom

Air conditioning unit is in the bedroom hidden behind a dresser - it turns on and off throughout the night with a loud bang waking you up constantly.

Picture frame and border in the closet

A picture frame Was down in the closet of the bedroom. The picture frame had glass in it. Felt it was not safe with a kid in the room. Blow dryer had a lot of long gray hair and in the shower.

NO PERSONAL UMBRELLAS ON BEACH!

Beautiful beach view, however while setting up our umbrella on the beach My family & I had gentleman tell us we cannot set up a personal umbrella due to an accident that occurred “17 years ago” very odd….. I understand policies but this one just doesn’t make sense to me. I think Administrators should have guest sign a waiver instead telling them they’re not allowed to bring they own merchandise to a public beach. Of course it’s another tactic for property to make money by having guest to rent umbrellas from Sundestin. A/C doesn’t work in hallways it was very hot!!!!

We had a great time with our family for fall break. The condo was very clean, HOWEVER….we were very disappointed there wasn’t a washer/dryer unit inside the condo. In all of my 43 years of going to the beach I have never not had one in our room. The amenities listed laundry facilities so I assumed they were in the room, it didn’t make it clear. They did have units down the hallway you could pay to use, but that was a huge pain and inconvenience to use so we didn’t bother. Also I hated the fact that if you wanted to be set up close to the water you HAD to rent the umbrella/chair service. Your own stuff had to be set up back behind everything. That is a pain when you are trying to enjoy the ocean view and keep an eye on your children in the water. And who doesn’t let you set up your own umbrellas? Only tents??? Both of these were definite firsts for us, and weren’t communicated in the listing. We always go to Orange beach but wanted to try something different this year. From here on we will be going back to the places we know will have a washer and dryer and will let us set up our own stuff on the beach wherever we want.

Disappointing and unexpected

The beautiful beach, an incredible view from our balcony and 2 helpful employees saved my review from being an overall “1”. This place is very old and unrenovated. Layers of paint with dirty, old and stained paint underneath. Light switches, doors, etc black and grey with dirt. Plumbing rusted. Doors won’t close due to coming apart from water damage. Bucket under kitchen sink to catch leaking water. Our condo was very dirty- obviously not cleaned. Towels were obviosly dirty, refolded and hanging “for our use- no way!) brown, hair, etc! Bathroom mirrors sprayed with lines of off-color sticky stuff. Fridge dirty from food spills. I could go on. But you get the idea. End it wasn’t just a room, I didn’t see anybody cleaning except to mop up water on the floor. So sad. Extremely expensive for such a dirty space!
