Main Channel Lots of Water. Sunrise over Smith Mountain Lake, sip coffee on the wraparound porch, and soak the evening away in a one-of-a-kind oak-barrel hot tub. The Lodge at Pine Haven blends rustic log-home charm with resort-style amenities: a basement game room with pool table & TV, covered ping pong, lakeview fire pit patio, and a private covered dock. One of 5 cabins on an 8-acre lakefront micro-resort — book The Lodge alone or the entire property for weddings & reunions (sleeps up to 36).

We are available by phone and email. The house is setup for vacation living. You will have privacy and the home will be dedicated to you and your family for the duration of your stay.

Pine Haven is a wonderful compound of log homes on Smith Mountain Lake. We are directly across from the 4H Center at Buoy 40 on The Blackwater. Magnum Point Marina is 5 minutes away and has some of the best food on the lake.

Guests will have exclusive access to the full house.

Three bedrooms, loft, huge great room with fireplace and a fantastic basement with pool table, ping pong, darts, game table and 65" LED television.

An improved gravel road leads to Pine Haven, but the best way to get around is on the lake. Bring your own boat or rent from one of the many marinas on Smith Mountain Lake.

Due to severe allergies, absolutely no animals are allowed.

Clean and relaxing. The view of the lake was amazing. The dock was super convenient for fishing or docking a rented boat. We had a wonderful time.

Plenty of space in the home and furnished for all ages. Plenty of towels and beach towels in the bathroom closet. Kitchen had a variety of dishes, pot, pans, and coffee maker. Extra blankets on the living room and closets. It was a challenge to get to the water for the seniors in our family but the landing close by allowed us get our seniors on our boat. The hot tub was amazing!

It was peaceful and a great place to unwind

It was a great stay got to play some pool, have a fire by the firepit, and enjoy the peace and quiet while others enjoys the lake.

The lodge

Overall we had a nice experience as we had family members rent two other cabins near by us..so we were all together but in our own space. Beautiful view & lake access. Our only complaint is the running water in the cabin. During showers the water would shut off or lose pressure. While doing dishes..the water would stop. This was very inconvenient with 6 people. All in all… if the water issue would be resolved we did discuss wanting to all return.

Great Escape for Family Time

Stayed a weekend after graduation at Liberty University. House is just as pictured with plenty of room for our crew of 5 adults. The game room and fire pit were favorites of ours, and the lake was much more calm and peaceful than others we have visited. Would definitely stay here again!

The Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect getaway for me, my mom and sisters to unwind and relax. The cabin was immaculate and beautiful! The view was amazing. It was so peaceful and quiet. The time we shared and memories we made will last a lifetime. I would 100% recommend The Lodge at Pine Haven. Looking forward to visiting again.

Birthday celebration

We really enjoyed our getaway. We celebrated our daughters 15th birthday. It was a great location and exactly what we wanted. Great communication with the owner. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Great Family Cabin

We all enjoyed our relaxing stay. Plenty of puzzles, a pool table, books to read, chess /dart set and kitchen accessories to cook a meal. We also used the fire pit. Not terribly far is an amazing disc golf course in and around a beautiful park. Thank you!

Great house for the family

Plenty of space and enough big beds to accommodate adult children. Kitchen space is good, wonderful basement. Loved the fire pit! The views from the deck are gorgeous. One caveat: The walk to to the dock is steep. Even the healthy among us had trouble catching our breath on the way back up to the cabin.

Relaxing Getaway

The Lodge at Pine Haven is so big and beautiful there is plenty of room to spread out or come together. Our family spent a lot of time in the game room watching movies, shooting pool and many ping-pong matches. Wonderful memories were made making s'mores around the firepit, catching 12 and 15 pound strippers off the dock and watercolor painting on the porch while listening to the birds. Wonderful neighbors with the best fresh eggs. We are looking forward to staying here again.

Relaxing weekend at the lake

The Lodge is the epitome of a log cabin stay in the mountains. The house was gorgeous and spacious for everyone in our party. The outdoor firepit was our favorite place to spend in the evenings and the porch overlooking the lake was where we spent our mornings. The steps down to the dock were our only complaint as we did not realize how steep they would be for our 72 year old family member. Otherwise, it was the perfect place for all of us!

The lodge

The pictures are a true representation of the cabin! The walkway down to the lake was not ideal ( which accounts for the 4 stars), there were no hand rails! My elderly father in law wasn’t sure he was going to make it back up! We stayed in the bedroom on the left coming down the hall with the en-suite bathroom….the shower controls and the door should be on the same side or remember to turn the shower head away from you when you turn the water on! That blast of cold water was not fun! Other than that, our stay was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again!

Our family had a great trip. I definitely recommend this house. The owners were very nice and friendly. The house was very clean and plenty spacious for 10 people. We used the canoe and rented a kayak which were both a hit. A few notes to be aware of, first if you are not familiar with Smith Mountain Lake it is pretty steep, so the walk from the house to the water is 100 steps, which was a bit of a challenge for the grandparents. The water this year was also down about 5 feet, which was cool in some ways because you could see a bunch of things that are normally submerged, but did bring challenges, like making some floating docks harder to use, and exposed some muck that is normally underwater, etc. Lastly, there are a ton of big trees (it is literally in a forest), which is great, but also not conducive to laying around and sunbathing. Upside was great birdwatching, several deer, etc. All easy to deal with, but good to know going in. We also rented a boat from Magnum Marina, which was a great experience. There are also good restaurant and grocery options within a fairly short drive. All in all a great option!

Great get-away

The cabin was great for everyone. Plenty of space and very comfortable. The kids and adults really enjoyed themselves. Beds were excellent and the cabin is well appointed. Only complaint was the floors and kitchen hadn’t been cleaned very well.

Beautiful

Beautiful home in a great cove! Only warning is it’s a steep hike back up to the house if anyone in your family has mobility issues. The fireflies at night make the whole place magical ❤️
