Welcome to our summer oasis at the beach. Access this quiet and spacious beach in less than 30 seconds with our amazing location right across the street from a public beach access. After spending the day at the beach rinse off in the outdoor shower. Then you can all retreat to the main floor of our home which has an open concept, large kitchen, and an outdoor deck that is perfect for entertaining. With 5 bedrooms and 6 beds there is plenty of room for everyone to catch some zzzz's and get ready for another fun filled day in Maine.

Great location right across the street from public access to Wells Beach. Renovated parts were nice but owner should consider some additional work. Outdoor shower is effectively not functional, as shower head needs repair or replacement. Upstairs shower leaks small amount of water down onto dining room area/hall to kitchen. Door and windows to back deck have seen better days. Bathrooms, kitchen, and sheets/linens/towels were all clean, but bedrooms themselves need more attention from cleaners. Owner provided 24 hours notice for an exterminator coming for an inspection/treatment, but I don't that's something that should be scheduled during a vacation rental in the high season.

Buoy beach house had a great location directly across from the beach. The house itself was dated, which was expected based on the pictures. It appeared that the house was not cleaned prior to our arrival, with the couch, floors, and stairs covered in sand. There was sand in the sheets of a few of the beds as well. Sand is expected in a beach house, but the house was filthy upon arrival. The house should also not be advertised as a five bedroom given the fifth bedroom is really just a large closet with a bed in it in one of the bedrooms. There was not a functioning coffee pot as well.

Charming spot with great beach access

7 of us comfortably stayed in this charming rental with a great spot near the beach. We had everything we needed and the host was quick to reply and accommodating. Would recommend and hope to stay again.

Buoy Beach House

A great property. Plenty of room for all of us. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for the cottage and the beach. The beach is seconds away from the cottage which is a real bonus

Beautiful Beach Getaway

The Buoy Beach House was fantastic for our party of 7! There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have downtime or for us all to congregate on the main level and cook together. We had 5 adults and 2 children, and the space was accommodating for all of us. The location relative to the beach was outstanding. The public way was directly across from the property. This was HUGE for us because we often had to walk back and forth with the kids and their needs. Todd was an incredibly gracious host and really responsive to any requests. He followed up after our first night to make sure everything was up-to-par. The overall experience was top notch and we would definitely stay here again!

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend at the Buoy House in Wells. The location is excellent, it was so nice to be just steps to the beach since our grandchildren came for a visit.

Dirty house

We had to clean the house prior to unpacking. When you find dirty bucket, fridge food stuck to the table dirty toilets then it’s bad. Location is great but a cleaning fee and not refunded leaves a sour taste.

Wonderful Wells Beach Getaway!

What a wonderful cottage with a perfect location just a 30 second walk to the beach. A comfortable and enjoyable stay - would definitely return!!

Great location and dog friendly!

Loved the location of this house! Just steps from Wells Beach. It was also wonderful to be able to bring our dog with us. I rated the cleanliness lower because the lower level was not as clean as the rest of the house. Also the stairs to the upper and lower levels are not easily accessible for older guests. We sill enjoyed our stay.

Amazing!

This house was perfect and would definitely stay there again. The location could not have been better. The layout at first seemed a little awkward, but actually worked out perfect for my family of 7 including grandparents and teenage boys. It is a true beach house. The owner was awesome and very responsive to any questions I had.

Great beach spot!

Across the street from the beach access, the location couldn’t be better! Stairs are a little tough for older folks, as one is a narrow set and the other is a small spiral staircase. It wasn’t too much of an issue for us, would happily stay again!

Fantastic Location

Nice Cottage with excellent access to the beach! A deck off the back offers a great place to grill or just relax. The upstairs bathroom has been recently updated with a Bluetooth Speaker system.. A very comfortable place with great charm! Thank you Todd for your communication and allowing us to stay at your place!

Very confortable place by the beach

We really loves this house and the proximity to the beach (just in front of the beach entryway). The house is lovely and confortable. Would recommand to anyone looking for an awesome vacation in Wells!

Great location

Awesome location, close to a beautiful beach. House is in the midst of a transition, so is in various stages of upgrades. Only issue for us (due to having young kids) was that the only interior access to the basement was on a small circular staircase. Todd was a very responsive and helpful owner, and helped quickly work through a small logistical issue we had.

Buoy House is a Gem!

The Buoy house is a perfect location in Wells ! We have been going to Wells for years but this was our first stay at the Buoy House - the house is large - plenty of room for everyone. I loved that there were three bathrooms and three floors - it really gives everyone a chance to have some space - the reading room and sitting room downstairs plus the living room on the main floor gives everyone a space to relax in. The table is large enough for everyone which is very helpful when you vacation with so many and you can see the ocean while you sit at it - doesn’t get much better than that! The back deck is gorgeous and we spent many night post beach out enjoying the deck. The beds were comfortable - something that matters a lot for us on vacation. We have a three year old and having a location so close to the beach and public way was ideal for the back and forth to the bathroom and for lunch and nap - the kitchen had a lot of storage which is always really helpful when so many people are sharing a house. We had five adults and a child and we all fit very comfortably here. Todd was very accessible and welcomed us sending questions or issues which is always something that’s comforting when you’re staying somewhere. I would highly recommend this home for stays in Wells!

Our family has been coming to the area for 15+ years and we love it. We used to stay at a hotel but decided that we rather spend our vacation weeks in the comfort of a home. Now we are excited to share our dream beach home with you.

Situated across from the beach you cannot beat the location. We have kids so we love the flexibility of being able to run back to the house for lunch, bathroom, naps, or whatever else the kids throw our way. We also love the closeness of Ogunquit and Kennebunkport as we love a good dinner out.
