The Sawmill Suite

The building is a duplex with a unit upstairs and a unit downstairs. It is possible you could hear other guests at times.
The Sawmill Suite was formerly a sawmill owned by a local man that cut most of the lumber that is holding it up today. We have now made it into a modern and cozy feeling rental where people can come get away and enjoy the beauty that this area holds.

We have access to world-class fly-fishing just 3 miles down the road at Montanna Creek. With your stay you also have access to local lakes, walking trails, and Denali Brewing Company's tasting room all within a mile or two of the front door.

The house has many amenities that include but are not limited to a high-quality bed, heated floors, waterfall shower with stone floor, full kitchen for cooking, outdoor seating, outdoor fire pit (wood provided), beautiful grass yard, and more. Note: sofa bed is a love seat with a full-size mattress and foam topper.

Fantastic Oasis!

The cabin is fantastic - perfect little oasis outside of town! Down the street from Denali Brewing - absolute must (pizza and beer are top notch). Highly recommend - Kayce was wonderful to work with!

We really enjoyed this property and hosts. Very friendly allowing access to their washer and dryer. We had doubts about climbing ladder to the loft since we are both older but actually enjoyed the challenge and Makes the place unique. Everything we needed was available there. Only issue is I would bring tv down from loft but not a big deal. Would recommend this property.👍

Cute and Clean

Kayce’s place is cute and very clean. The kitchen is very well stocked with pretty much anything you’d need. Her and her husband were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the bed. I’m pretty sure it was just 2 foam mattress pads stacked together. If you are into super super soft beds that you sink into, you’d like it, otherwise it may leave you with a bit of a back ache.

Just Perfect, had everything we needed.

Great place with some nice touches. It's a smaller interior but they haven't cut any corners and have optimized their use of the space. For example, there's a fold out sofa and a loft with a ladder for access so there are 2 sleeping area options. One thing I appreciated was the quality pots and pans after attempting to cook on beat-up skillets in my other rentals on this trip. It was also great to have access to a washer/dryer. Out of the 5 places we stayed on our 2 week trip in Alaska, this was the only one with a washer. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again.

Great property. Such a treat to have fresh ground coffee in the morning. Note: bed located in a loft - would not be easy for individuals with knee/hip/back problems to get in and out of. Located close proximity of Talkeetna.

Honeymoon stay in Alaska

We got in late but Sawmill Suite was great with being accommodating for this. Cute loft set up and would for sure stay again if in Talkeetna area.

If you like nature outside but modern inside

This place was super cute and had all the amenities we needed to feel comfortable. I took my two adult children on an Alaskan tour. We stayed here our first night. I’m sad it was only one night. The space was quite welcoming and clean. The bed and couch were comfortable. This place is a little off Talkeetna Spur, so we were able to take a nice countryside walk when we woke up early. Denali Brewing is nearby, and a must see. We also got to meet Kayce - super sweet person. I wish we stayed at her place the entire trip.
