Whether you’re unwinding under the gazebo, cozying up around the bonfire to indulge in s’mores, or chillin’ on the veranda watching the freighters go by, every moment here promises to be a cherished memory in the making. Enjoy the relaxing sound of waves on the beach, go paddle boarding or kayaking on Lake Huron. Start your day with a steaming hot cup of coffee watching the sunrise over the lake. The houses were well appointed, the beach was fantastic and the kayaks and paddle boards made the lake beyond enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and Kelly was the most responsive host we have ever had!

We celebrated our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary together with my two siblings and their families. We had a wonderful stay. The lake was beautiful! The housing was more than we could have asked for! It surpassed our expectations! The children loved the water craft and the shallow beach for leisure play.

Beautiful all around vacation house

The hosts were quick to respond and very friendly. This is the ultimate vacation property for a family or group of 2 families. We thoroughly enjoyed our selves and their house and property. Great place for our family gathering!

It was a great property that had space for our 13 people and felt spacious with the 2 houses in perhaps a double lot with a park next door with the beach. We loved using the kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, games. It was thoughtfully well stocked in many ways...outdoor activities, kitchen, bath and beach towels, outdoor chairs and shade. The kids loved the play area upstairs in the lake house. We had a fire multiple nights, it was a great place overall!

2 family vacay

Totally exceeded our expectations! This was the perfect location for our 2 family vacation with 2 fully appointed homes on the property. Each are beautifully decorated with a cozy “cabin on the beach” feel. The hostess thought of everything from TP and paper towels for the week to the “s’mores station” and plenty of firewood and outdoor seating! The view is INCREDIBLE and make sure that you get up for at least one sunrise 🌅

Sun rises are beautiful

The house was amazing decorated and Kelly thought of all outlet needs. Huge fire pit plenty of chairs to sit and loungers to sun in. We played corn hole swam canoed kayaked fished floated paddle boarded and much much more. That front porch over looking the lake is the spot to be when the sun rises We are definitely going again next year ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent property

The cabins are super cute, very clean. The owner has truly thought of everything to make your stay here perfect. The few questions I had during our stay the host replied to immediately. Plenty of room for our familly trip. My siblings and I with our families and mom go every year and this was one of our favorite properties! There is plenty of room for outdoor games and lots of water toys (kayaks, paddle boards, etc). The park next door adds extra beach space to the property and the outdoor shower was a amazing perk for a beach house I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone and we definitely plan on coming back.

Perfect Weekend to Memorialize my Husband

Hello, Kelly, Family and Guests! This property is beautiful, and I couldn’t ask for a better way to memorialize my husband! He and I were avid travelers, and I know he would’ve loved this property just as much as our family, friends, and I. We had incredible sunrises all three mornings, epic clouds that painted the sky. Amazing Trip

The property is just perfect. We spent every minute possible outside enjoying being so close to the lake. You truly thought of everything as far as necessities we may have forgotten. The s’mores bar and the sunscreen in the bathroom, it was all so thoughtful. This was one of our favorite trips we’ve ever taken and we are for sure going to be back. I do have to say though the pictures online don’t do the place justice. We couldn’t believe it when we got there like wow, it just exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for letting us stay!!!

Ideal vacation rental for multiple families

Absolutely LOVED our stay! Would not change a single thing except to have booked it for longer. Communication was quick, thorough and helpful. Both main and guest houses were immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Owners provided everything we could think of to make it a comfortable beach getaway including towels, sunblock, sand toys, life jackets, chairs, umbrella and even kayaks/paddle boats. With property right on the water and just a few minutes away from downtown Lexington, it is an incredibly convenient location. It is also perfect for multigenerational families as we had my little ones who had a blast in the equipped playroom as well as my mother with mobility/accessibility issues benefit from the main floor bathroom/bedroom setup and easier access to the shore. Kelly had even provided bonus treats for the kids like fruit snacks and a Smores Station, while Brian had even dropped off surprise doughnuts one morning. The view is incredible with stunning sunrise and the night sky is filled with stars on a clear night that we enjoyed by the bonfire. Tons of lawn games and outdoor seating too created a fun, communal atmosphere between guest and main houses. All the neighbors we met were friendly/respectful and our kids even played with other kids at the beach. We are already talking about booking the place again next year because everyone enjoyed their time so much!

Beautiful location/plenty of amenities but had an issue with the undisclosed surveillance.

We would have rated this higher had it not been for the undisclosed video surveillance. At least 3 cameras outside-which are allowed if properly disclosed. But most bothersome is the indoor camera in the Lakehouse (just one-as far as we could find). When we contacted the host about the camera concerns we were told that 1) she didn’t feel the need to notify us since she received an alert that we unplugged it-thus we “already knew about it”, 2) the indoor camera was there since there were contractors & cleaning crew & she wanted to know who came in when she couldn’t be there. However the outdoor camera on that side of the Lakehouse would show that door, 3) when a member of our group reached out & even sent her a link to the VRBO rules, which included exactly how to disclose the outdoor cameras (one example is right in the VRBO listing itself-and it’s not optional, it’s required) the host said that she’d been renting for 3 years and she didn’t know of the rules and that no one ever complained. And again, any indoor cameras are NOT allowed when you have paying guests. When you take on the responsibility of renting you have a responsibility & an obligation to know & properly apply the law. The only reason we didn’t rate this property lower is we all had such a great time and the property was absolutely beautiful. Our guests ranged from ages 15-81 but every one of them felt a bit creeped out to feel like someone was watching their every move-or could have been.

I’m glad that everyone had a great time! The indoor camera which was pointing right at the door was not hidden and was not recording. It does send a notification when it is unplugged. It has been removed. I apologize if you were creeped out by that. I would have preferred that you contacted me during your stay about the cameras rather than after the fact and I would have been happy to talk to you about them. The outdoor cameras do not cover the front door and this 1920’s home does not have a door bell so there is no way to know if there is a delivery or a person coming in when nobody is there. When staying in a short term rental communication is important and I would have been happy to answer any questions about the cameras right away. Today cameras are everywhere and I have had hundreds of guests stay and have never had an issue about them. I did some research and looked at 15 different properties in this area on VRBO. They ranged in price from $699 per night to $2000 per night and none of them mentioned cameras in the description, although you can see cameras in the pictures. I would find it hard to believe on these million dollar properties that they would not have cameras. I will update my photos to include them.

The Lakehouse and guest house are steps from Lake Huron. We have a large double lot and a park next door. There are paddle boards, kayaks, a 3 person canoe, a peddle boat and plenty of yard games and toys to keep the entire family busy!
