Comfortable; great location

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my my forth year of renting Sleepin Inn. The location is fabulous as well as being a comfortable unit. We use it for a family reunion - this time for 8 adults. We had lots of rain this week. Although there were electrical outages, we were not interruped with our service.

Family vacation home

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Second time renting this for family vacation. Little ones think it’s home, and it is great. Kitchen is well appointed. Plenty of storage space in the laundry room. Starting to show some wear. We found things that were not ours in the couch and under the beds and couches. Renters should be aware that master suite is tight and bath is a combo jacuzzi shower, so there is a significant step over to get into shower. Shower and bath products provided are very tiny, so may want to bring your own. Wish owner would install a TV in master and provide power strips or move bed a bit away from the wall. It was very challenging to find a way to access it to hook up CPAP.

Five star cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was by far our favorite Beachwalk rental. Floor plan was great for our crew. Lots of places to get space when it was needed and we could all be together too. People should know bathrooms, and we loved having three of them, are a little awkward. Master bath has shower inside a jacuzzi tub, so it is a big step to get into shower. This could be a challenge for some. Showers in the other two bathrooms are hilariously tiny, as in our 8-year-old grandson said he could barely turn around in it. But it’s vacations so you make the best of it. Place was well decorated and maintained, and ceiling fans in bedrooms were appreciated.

Good Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home was well appointed, location was both near the lake access and the pool, which the majority of rentals in this development are not. Completely satisfied with rental property. The only negative beyond the property owners control: the community pool always seemed to be crowded. The developers did not make it large enough in my opinion. We were impressed with the check-in/out procedure, we were sent an email with the door lock code, and inside the rental were our parking passes and wristbands waiting for us on the table. No need to check in or out at a separate location.

First time to Michigan City and Beachwalk. Great location and concept creating a vacation atmosphere with plenty of options for families. We were disappointed with the house, it’s a bit dated and weathered. Has potential to be great!

Location and Comfort a Plus

Excellent home with nicely appointed interior design. Location is convenient to beach and pool activities. The first floor bedroom allowed grandparents separation from family.

Perfect family getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Sleepin’ Inn as part of a family reunion. The other half of our family rented another property at Beachwalk. We absolutely loved Sleepin’ Inn. The location was perfect right between the beach and the resort pool area. The house had really nice living spaces and there was plenty of room for our entire family (6 adults and 2 kids). Everyone commented on how great the outdoor spaces were as well. It was so nice to enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings on the front porch and also end the day out there or by the fire pit with the entire family. The bedroom spaces were lovely with more than enough storage. I highly recommend it!

Our home was perfectly located between the beach and the pool so a short walk to either. Right near the tennis/pickleball court as well. The home was stocked with everything we needed to make our week easy to navigate. Plenty of space both inside and out for 7 people.

Beautiful home in Beachwalk!

I went to Michigan city over Memorial Day weekend with my immediate family (husband and 3 young kids), my father, my mother-in-law, and my brother-in-law. We have stayed in the Beachwalk complex before and this is a perfect getaway for kids & adults. There are lots of great things to do with family such as the pool, beach, zoo, hiking, and playgrounds. PROS: The house was nice and clean, great location (few minute walk from pool/lake and beach), nice bunk beds for the kids, and management was very attentive. For example, we had some issues with the high chair and TV's and they did connect with us quickly and were committed to resolving the issues. Everything was very organized upon arrival including our wristbands for the pool, parking passes, and a QR code detailing nearby attractions. It has a very "homey" feel to it and there are plenty of seating areas throughout the house for leisure, mealtimes, etc. CONS: The pre-arrival first impression could be improved. We were informed prior to arrival that there would only be two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and guests were encouraged to bring their own for stays beyond two days. Additionally we were told that soap/shampoo would not be provided (which ultimately did not turn out to be the case). For the cost of renting this beautiful home, these are items that guests should not need to worry about while on vacation. Another source of frustration stemmed from the various fees for renting baby equipment (pack n play, high chair, etc.). This is something we hadn't encountered during previous VRBO stays as we always filter to "family friendly" and generally these items are provided if they are available. We were offered to rent these items. The frustration was compounded by the fact that we found a high chair and booster seat in the supply closet on the last day of our trip after agreeing to rent items. A few other suggestions include: providing pool towels, expanding beyond basic cable (only a few TV station were available, the rest asked you to subscribe), and including more kids toys/books in the room with bunk beds. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the home/location. We would highly recommend this home and believe that a few minor adjustments would help.
