Cute little place

We loved our time here and were happy to bring our little dog! Our hosts were very cordial & we enjoyed our visit with them. Everything they provided worked well and the beach view from the whole place is lovely!

Well, both owners were nice although they barely got the place cleaned in time for us on our arrival. The place was great and clean but the coffee maker was hard to work. Also only ONE coffee cup for coffee in the morning...right when we were leaving I looked in the dishwasher and noticed that it was not emptied....hence no coffee cups.Also, the toilet seat is really loose to the point where I almost fell off it while getting up.Other than that, all was good with the exception of the parking pass charging almost 40 to park at a place where we were already paying over 200...The DID refund me my parking pass thank goodness.

Super chill beach spring break!

We loved this property and plan to return! Competitively priced, incredible view, well-maintained amenities, very kind (and stylish!) hosts, everything was clean and just overall peaceful and easy.

By the Sea

Obviously not a new facility, but still clean and well-maintained. Parts under construction so front parking lot not available at times. We booked to enjoy the area, not necessarily the facility. Facility is reasonably priced and conveniently located. We would definitely book again if in Galveston.

Perfect getaway

This property was perfect. Right across the street from the beach. Perfect accommodations. Very well stocked. We didn't want for anything. Extremely neat and clean. Highly recommende.

Perfect for a short getaway

My husband and I absolutely love this property. The unit has a king sized bed which is always a plus. It’s dog friendly and very well maintained.

Everything was good just didn’t realize there would be a motorcycle rally going on so wasn’t as quiet and relaxing as had looked forward to.

IT WAS SUCH A GREAT PLACE, WE WERE ON THE 6TH FLOOR AND WE COULD SEE THE SUNRISE EVERY MORNING WE WERE THERE. IT WAS EASY TO GET TO THE BEACH SINCE IT IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE PLACE. IT IS ALSO ON THE MAIN DRAG SO EASY TO GET TO PLACES

Great getaway

We enjoyed staying on the Seawall in Galveston, it was a perfect weekend with the dogs and the beach was right there and everything within walking distance. It was the first time in the area and we will definitely be back again.

Ocean front stay

Very clean unit. Excellent ocean view. Had to walk across extremely busy 4 lane street to get to beach. Very Adequately equipped. Bed/mattress very comfortable & clean. Unit not ready when we arrived, owner gave discount. AC wasn’t working well. Owner was quick to attempt repair. Condo building was disappointing. Needed “polish”. Only 1 elevator working. We left early due to multiple issues.

Building maintenance gets 1 star

While our experience with our hosts was great, the maintenance of the overall condo building was lacking. The automatic front lobby doors were broken, so we had to push them open and close. They were heavy and not to mention very inconvenient due to carrying supplies to go to the beach. One of the elevators was broken. This caused waits at the bottom and top, especially during check in and check out. According to the residents, the elevator being broken is a common occurrence. Finally, the office staff was unprofessional. She repeatedly yelled at us and others about washing off before going in the pool . She stated she was " tired of getting sand out of pool."

Originally from Dallas, Dax and I are proud to call Galveston home. We have two schnauzers, Brody and Brooklyn - and they are happy to be called "Beach Dogs"! In addition to moving our home to the island, I relocated my law practice. It is infinitely more enjoyable drafting wills and handling probate matters sitting on (or at least near) the beach than drafting in an office that overlooks a parking garage.

I made my first visit to Galveston as an adult in 2012. I had a schnauzer, Logan, who I thought needed to see the ocean before he moved on. We stayed at By the Sea on that trip. Logan loved the trip and the beach. He was with me for two more fun trips. Each year we stayed a week and at By the Sea. This condo was our home for several years. For me, there was no question about it - By the Sea was definitely the place for me!

By the Sea - the view. AMAZING! You are spoiled from the minute you walk into our home. There are times when I stand in the kitchen and I flashback to being on a cruise ship at sea. Nothing but water as far as you can see. That is the view from the kitchen sink! The building residents and guests are friendly, and the BTS staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great experience. The location of our condo in the building is perfect. You are able to watch all the activity that is the Seawall... and yet can pier above it and it is a whole different feel. We have a new hurricane rated door that provides excellent insulation. You can slide the door and close out most any noise from outside. Our location is convenient to everything that Galveston has to offer from water parks to amusement parks - to museums and confectionery shops. All minutes away. And the REAL unique benefit......mere steps to the sand and surf.
