Spectacular, private mountain getaway with an unbelievable view of Pikes Peak on 6-acres that combines open space, mountain views, and pine trees. The View from Woodland Park sits directly on the Centennial Trail. Situated in nature while only 3 miles to the heart of quaint Woodland Park and an picturesque 18-mile drive from Colorado Springs. Whether you want to relax at a private mountain retreat or stay conveniently in the heart of the southern range of the Rocky Mountains - it's perfect!

Our property is about 3.4 miles north of the Hwy 24/Hwy 67 intersection in the heart of Woodland Park. We have plenty of parking available on property including 2 stall detached garage and an RV parking spot (with hookups).

The recently renovated home is a perfect spacious, home base for your adventures in Teller County and the greater Colorado Springs area. Situated on a picturesque 6-acres, this 3,000 square foot home has plenty of elbow room inside and out. Easily sleeps 8 (beds) with two large couches for extra room. Two family rooms and two large tables make it perfect for groups with kids. Spacious bedrooms and access to washer and dryer on the lower level.

Comfortable property, gorgeous view

Had a very enjoyable stay! Beautiful setting, with an outstanding view of Pikes Peak from a multitude of rooms. Spacious property, with garage available to use, with a convenient circular drive. Lots of conveniences available as described in the property listing.

Great location. Away from the bigger cities like Denver and Boulder but still so many options to explore. Visited Pikes Peak summit. Hiked the trail down the road that has some nice red rock formations. Visited Manitou Lake trail. Bring your fishing gear! Also, enjoyed Garden of the Gods and Cave of the Winds

Beautiful!

The home and property were perfect! The views of Pike's Peak were exceptional. Kim was super responsive and accommodating as we had to adjust our check out date due to the weather.

Relaxing family vacation with the best view

Better than a time share. How do I know, because I have had a time share for over 25 years they are good but not Great like this wonderful home. They have thought of everything, probably 30 table games, many extra plates, cups, bowls, utensils, towels, I could go on and on. Wonderful view of pikes peak. We saw many deer & elk during our 7 days. Close to all the activity. Clean lots of room up and down stairs, well maintained hot tub. Thanks for a wonderful week, we are planning to return so. Party of 8.

Absolutely beautiful

The house was ideally set just outside of town and the views didn't disappoint. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 and the dog enjoyed being able to roam around. We would absolutely stay again.

Lovely property, fantastic view

The house is new and beautifully decorated, with granite countertops and Colorado art throughout. Beds were comfy, table was nice and large enough for our group (8 people.) The view of Pikes Peak and surrounding mountains is incredible! Would definitely stay there again!

Family Thanksgiving

This property was so impressive. There was so much room for everyone. The only bad thing was we had no use of the lower level television. The grandsons were disappointed.

Family Get Together

Great place to stay. Unmatched views, close to trails and horseback riding. Easily accommodated our group of 7 in comfort. In the hills, but close to stores and points of interest.

23-27 Sept

This house was great. Secluded, beautiful scenery and quiet. Perfect for me and my friends 3-day vacation. The house had lots of features but could probably use a little maintenance. Light bulbs were starting to out and the fire pit didn’t work - really just minor stuff though. Other than that we really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend for someone wanting a break from the city.

Parents weekend getaway 2023

This was a great place for the family to converge as we celebrated our USAFA cadet’s last parent’s weekend. We got to enjoy the peace of the mountains, enjoy some great meals together and use the house as our base camp for our excursions during the day. Thanks for the hospitality!

Loved this house!!

From the moment we got there we loved this house! It was just perfect for the 6 of us. It is also in a really great location and we're going to miss the beautiful view of Pikes Peak. There were deer in the yard the day we got there. We would definitely stay here again!!

Fantastic winter wonderland weekend

Property was exactly as presented but the view could not be adequately described, it was breathtaking. Easy drive from Colorado Springs and so close to Woodland park but private and secluded. Enjoyed the hot tub and the snow and was able to charge up my car on property. Kitchen had everything we needed. Will plan on staying again. 5 out of 5!

Family Trip 2024

The view from the front of the house was amazing. Our family enjoyed the large space and the hot tub the most. We had a couple of problems, but the owner was quick to reply. My only issue is that we were unable to use the fire pit. It had obviously been used as a wood burning pit for quite some time. We tried to clean out all of the wood and ashes, but it still wouldn’t stay lit when trying to use as a gas pit as designed.

Great Family gathering

Overall this was an awesome place. Had tons of space for the 2 families that shared the house (4 adults 4 kids). It was walking distance to red rocks and Troutman creek, both are worth while hikes when going with younger kids (4-8 yrs old). We enjoyed having a dishwasher to help clean up after meals and 2 separate living rooms. We spent 90% of our time at the house out front taking in the view and playing corn hole. We are already talking about a return visit.

Wonderful stay!

House was fantastic. We had 7 people and we all had our own separate space. House was clean and well taken care of. Everyone loved all the amenities, ping pong, games, fire pit, and the hot tub. Wife and I loved the master bath. Views every morning was great sitting on the porch drinking coffee and also seeing the hummingbirds play around or the deer walking through. Great location with only a 30 min drive to most attractions. If you are hesitant on booking this property, book it now you won't be disappointed.

The View at Woodland Park

Had one of the best experience renting this beautiful home. . Really appreciate frequent updates as to what are the attractions around the area. Kim always response to my questions right away. But mostly the house is fully equipped with stuff you need. The area is beautiful and the view is breathtaking. The hot tub is awesome. So many things to enumerate. All in all we have a great experience and would love to come back:)

Wish we could stay forever!

My family - my husband and I, grown kids, and 8 year old granddaughter, LOVED our time at Kim’s house! It is spacious and has everything we needed. The ping-pong table, fire pit, and hot tub were all a big hit with everyone! I wondered how noise would travel between floors but it wasn’t an issue at all! The guys could be up playing ping-pong at midnight and we didn’t even hear it upstairs! Kim replied promptly when I had a question and was great to work with! We definitely plan to come back! Thanks Kim and family!

Week Stay in September

We had an excellent stay this past week celebrating my in - Laws 50th anniversary. The View was spectacular. We got prompt response and a fox on the only issue we dealt with during the week. Only recommendation would to add a shower-head /handheld combo for the smaller master bed/ bathroom. Due to the shower being so small it’s hard to get a direct rinse or to shower without getting your hair wet due to the angle and lack of movement of current shower head. Otherwise this was an outstanding stay, would definitely recommend and even consider using again for future stays. And did I mention the view .. absolutely beautiful!

house review

We stayed at the house Feb. 18-21 and found many positive aspects of the house. The location was great, (somewhat isolated and great hiking near by), the view of Pikes Peak was outstanding, the house was roomy and comfortable, the hot tub (with lots of towels) and the fire pit were great, and the pantry was well stocked with basic cooking supplies. The dog room was very nice. House information was great with videos to explain everything; I have never seen that before. One concern is that after we arrived I received a communication that the dishwasher was broken and we would receive a $10.00 refund per night for this. At first this sounded nice, but washing dishes by hand for eight people after each meal was cumbersome and time consuming. On top of that we could only find one dish towel to dry the dishes and there was not a sponge or cleaning cloths. We did go into Woodland Park to get what we needed. We made sure all the dishes were washed before we left. A small point we noticed was that the water filter in the refrigerator door needed to be replaced. When we arrived my wife noticed the closet door in the basement bedroom was broken and hanging partially loose. My wife did contact the owner and we got an immediate response that they were aware of this. I was surprised that in a house this nice, the door had not been repaired. I did not check this, but I was told there was not a towel rack or a way to hang up your towel in the basement bathroom. I am aware this house is in the mountains, but the fastest internet speed we got was 12 MB/S. Using the internet for work or just for entertainment was difficult. Overall this is a good house and we enjoyed our time. With a few small fixes, this could be a great house. Stephen Wall

My parents grew in Denver, and we traveled from the Midwest to Colorado at least twice a year growing up to see family. My sisters and I grew up loving the mountains. After a trip with family to the top of Pikes Peak to memorialize my adventurous uncle who passed away in 2018, we kept getting pulled back to the Colorado Springs area. After three more trips from Texas to enjoy the Garden of the Gods, the hike to Seven Falls, the scenic drive to Deckers through aspen meadows, and taking in the fresh mountain air - we found The View from Woodland Park and decided to make Colorado a permanent destination for our family. We want others to enjoy it as well, so we hope you visit!

The views of Pikes Peak - that's what makes this property so special. In addition, it's on a spacious 6-acres providing privacy and relaxation while still being convenient to quaint Woodland Park (only 3 miles to the heart of town) and to Colorado Spring (18 miles SE of Woodland Park). We also wanted a home that felt like a get away with modern conveniences and touches. We have tried to put our personal touch on an already beautiful home. We hope it makes our guests truly feel like they have escaped their hectic day-to-day lives for a bit. The mountain air is just good for the soul. The views of Pikes Peak change with the time of day and the weather conditions, making it fascinating to relax and view with your morning coffee at dawn or from the hot tub at dusk.

This property is on 6-acres and the home is over 3,000 square feet, so there is plenty of elbow room for 8+ guests both inside and out. There is ample free parking, including 3 garage stalls and a parking spot for and RV (with hookups for electric, water, and waste). We lease the fenced off west portion of the property to a local high school girl for her horses. There is a quaint horse barn and pasture, and our property pays homage to the horses and other local wildlife through the watercolor art from Eric Sweet (look him up on Etsy @SignedSweet shop). We also feature mountain pottery as decor and with custom coffee mugs that were handcrafted from our own family, highlighting the beauty of nature. My grandmother, Marie Devlin, started making this pottery in the 1950's and even sold them at a shop in Cripple Creek in the 1970's! The tradition carried down to her three children and to a couple of her grandchildren too! We also love dogs and welcome them to our home. We hope these special touches make you feel welcome at The View from Woodland Park!
