Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Fare Matairoa. It's at the ocean's edge, clean and in a really quiet part of the island. It was a very relaxing time, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Great Stay

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time. I am nursing an achilles rupture so laying on the beach was wonderful. Great relaxation tool for recovery.

Great experience

Gorgeous sunsets, great snorkeling, great location. You will want to rent a car to get from the ferry to the house. From the house, it’s less than 10 minutes to most of the stuff you are likely to want to do. There is a small market and restaurant just across the street. This worked out great for our family of four. No complaints at all. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The service was wonderful.

Island Time

This space was perfect and my only wish would be that we could have stayed longer. Check in was smooth, location is gorgeous and the covered patio off the back deck is what dreams are made of. We will definitely return!

Amazing vacation!

Amazing. Hard to put into words how wonderful our four days at this Beachside house was. Everyone we spoke to at OPM was efficient, prompt, kind and informative. All of their suggestions for activities were spot on. Our stay here will be etched on our minds forever. We made a lot of wonderful memories.

This place is a gem!

We had a great stay at this beautiful property. Kayaking and snorkeling right off the deck during the day and star gazing at night. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Waking up every morning, going to the deck and seeing the white sand beach and the ocean was such a treat. Jade, the property manager, was so hospitable and responsive. We couldn’t have loved it more.

Spectacular view!

We arrived to a place that we have heard about all of our lives with high expectations, and we were blown away by the fact that it exceeded those expectations. Close to a market with amazing bread and pastries. Amazing sunsets. The concierge, Caroline, facilitated all of our needs and had answers to our many questions. Ranitea and Jade were also very informative, helpful, friendly and prompt. We will stay here again! Most relaxing vacation ever!

Older home, beautiful backyard

The house has a beautiful backyard but the house itself is not anything special. We loved watching sunset over the water and waking up there as it was very peaceful. The kayaks are nice to have as we saw multiple spotted eagle rays in the water right behind the house. As the other reviews stated the bathroom could definitely use some work. And it wouldn’t be the best place to stay if you were stuck with really bad weather because the best part of the property is outside. The check in process was also interesting and I feel like could be updated a little bit to be easier on guests but the woman that greeted us was very nice.

amazingly beautiful

The view and front patio is the selling point. We made use of the kayaks and paddle boards almost daily! The different shades of blues is absolutely stunning! There are some little updating. The grout in the kitchen is coming off and the toliet seat leans to the right. But overall it was such a amazing experience. They have spices that you may need and all cutlery and plates. We went with our 2 little ones and they were so happy playing outside. We will absolutely come back if we have the chance!

The most beautiful ocean front view

We stayed in this home as two couples. We chose the home because of its location on Moorea, the ocean front view is breathtaking. Truly, I’ve never seen the ocean and sky meet so seamlessly anywhere in the world. It seemed to jump into the home. The windows and back deck were out of this world! We also chose this home because it has two very comfortable King sized beds and AC. We slept so good! The yard is very private and overall this is a wonderful place! You will share one kind of old bathroom with not a lot of privacy and not a lot of hot water, so just be aware of that. But everything else made up for that. Even the large couch in the family room was very comfortable!

Almost Heaven

We were looking for a stand alone house in a quiet area close to the ocean. This one rings all of the bells. The next door neighbour (the owner) was helpful not intrusive. He lent me a machete and gave me free access to the coconut trees so we always had coconut water in the fridge he also lent us a rake so we could rake the beach each morning. There were occasionally people on the vacant lot on the other side who were staying in houses behind ours. Those houses were at least a hundred yards away and we never heard a sound from them. We made use of the Kayaks that were provided at no charge. We loved the covered deck, which kept us from being burnt, the quiet sea and the sunsets every night. The Salva Store just over the road supplied flesh Croissants every morning; fresh Tuna comes in on Tuesday and Thursday, oh so good on the BBQ and cheap! If you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy a quiet time in Paradise this is the house for you! Only drawback was the kitchen.

Excellent Property, Location and Management

We stayed at Fare Matairoa for our first visit to Moorea in mid January. The property was exactly as described and an excellent place to stay. We had 2 couples and were very comfortable with the two AC bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and could be used for preparing all meals. There is a well stocked grocery within walking which we used for drinks, breakfast supplies and other sundry's. We watched the beautiful sunsets each evening on the porch overlooking the lagoon and swam and kayaked.in the spectacular and very private and secluded waters. Jade, our host, was very responsive and helpful. She recommended restaurants and other activities all of which were really good and easy to access. We attended the Tiki show right down the street and enjoyed this very much. We had lunch and dinner in close by restaurants (Coco D'Isle, Cafe Vincenzo's and Tihaura) all of which were excellent. We would highly recommend renting a car on Moorea which is very easy. We rented from Auto Rent which we highly recommend. This allows convenient access to many locations and activities or just exploring the beautiful island. Overall, we highly recommend this property, location and Jade! This was a fantastic start to a extended stay in French Polynesia!

Maison parfaite!

La maison est idealement siruee sur une plage de reve, Clim dans les chambres. Supermarche juste en face avec pain frais tousd les matins, Tres calme et vraiment idealement siruee. Un reve! Echanges avec la personne en charge de la location hyper facile avec une rapidite de reponse impressionnante plein de bons conseils pour lres restaurants, acivites et autres recommandations. Sejour parfait en tous points!

Très Belle localisation directement sur la plage. La disponilité des kayaks a été grandement apprécié. Chalet propre avec le nécessaire pour cuisiner. La vue est tout simplement superbe. On a passé un très beau moment.
