This place was a character in our storybook vacation. My friends, family and I took advantage of every inch of this wonderful property. The road created a challenge for my senior friends with low profile tires but the rest of us just felt it was part of the adventure. Hosts are easy to communicate with. We had a minor problem with a light switch which was fixed immediately and will recommend people come here again. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring your agenda to have fun

Pleasant Stay

The cabin is well equipped for a prolonged stay and conveniently located within a short distance of shopping and all the area attractions.

A great mountain stay

Our group enjoyed our stay. The cabin has a lot of space for kids to play outside and a great fire pit.

Great get away

This is a wonderful property to get away and appreciate nature. The house is well stocked and has he host is easily accessible and resolves issues quickly.

Enjoyable Place

My family and I were pleased with the home and experience. It is a bit further away from civilization than we expected but that was only a minor inconvenience. The hosts were responsive and welcoming.

Exactly what we needed for a quiet family getaway! Bathrooms were tiny and a challenge for my wheelchair bound husband. BUT property was not advertised as accessible.

Beautiful home

The home and surrounding property were beautiful. The home was roomy and we all had plenty of space to play and spread out. Getting up to the home was a bit difficult because all the weather that came through this summer washed out part of the driveway.

Immediately after hearing that the road was washed out we got a tractor up there and had the road completely graded out and resurfaced. It is better than ever and very easy to navigate. I plan to upload pictures so everyone can see how well kept it is. There had been some very heavy rain that washed a deep Groove down a section. Thanks again for letting us know it was fixed several days after you told us.

Great Family getaway.

Overall excellent experience from the rental process through the check-in and check-out. The cabin was clean, property well maintained. The property manager Dawn was very helpful providing information for activities in addition to her responsiveness to any inquiries we had. The location of the property was great, close to the Blueridge Parkway, scenic views, mountin trails, Water falls, family activities and local shopping and dinning, while also providing a secluded location for relaxing with family and friends and pets. Highly recommended, would absolutely use the property again.

Peaceful

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful, peaceful place. Enjoyed painting rocks with my adult children. I would encourage the owners to buy a toaster and dish cloths, as well as bath cloths. Otherwise I would highly recommend the place.

What a spectacular home in a lovely setting! We were a group of siblings and a few young adult children visiting our family in nearby Celo, NC. We were very pleased with the home and appreciated all the extra towels & the great seating and lighting in the outdoor spaces. We like that there were wrap-around decks & a covered porch & the grill was undercover. It does rain in the Mountains! The kitchen was well stocked, the A/C worked well. We loved painting rocks for the fire pit! We did not take advantage of all the DVDs, but appreciated the selection! We also appreciated that the bunk bed/dining area had pocket doors to provide sleeping privacy! We were very pleased and would definitely book again on a return trip.

Fantastic 9 day vacation

We stayed at this property for a little over a week for 4th of July. The cabin had a nice rustic comfortable feel to it. We like to cook, so we had a lot of meals at the cabin. The kitchen is very well stocked and the gas grill worked great. I loved the swing on the covered patio, especially in the evening when it cooled down. That being said, it never got much above 80 during the day on the property. Dawn was extremely attentive and helpful! I would definitely recommend this property!

Home away from home

We were delighted with David and Dawn's wonderful cabin. It was everything we hoped for and more! Excellent communication, quick response time and well defined info in their cabin book. It was perfect for our family. The children so enjoyed painting fire pit stones, playing the games and having wonderful spots to hide when we as a family (gma too!) Played hide and seek in the dark. We will be back, again and again!

Mountain getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this mountain home! The home has useable land around it which meant we were able to throw the football and run around some. My kids enjoyed running up and down the small hill in the backyard. The best part about the yard is the firefly show that happens at night. Impressive! The inside of the home is comfortable and clean. The huge windows in the family room were perfect for watching a thunder storm move through the area. We would definitely visit again.

Lovely Respite

First, I will start off saying that the owners were super responsive and easy to work with. I have a few special needs, and they were extremely patient with me, so I appreciate that. This place is a wonderful get away from all the hustle and bustle, and so convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Most of all I appreciated that it was dog friendly! There was lots of land for us to play Frisbee, and a doggie proof deck was a blessing. It has plenty of room for a family, and I would go there again in a heartbeat. :)

Wonderful stay with stunning wooded views

Communication prior to our stay was great. Check-in communication and check-in itself was smooth and easy. The long shared driveway was being regraded while we were there so it was smooth. The cabin was beautiful and we loved the porch swings and fire pit! We were welcomed with a welcome book and a basket full of sweet, salty and tasty snacks. The kids loved the steep hill and running down it and running back up to see who was the fastest 😊. The cabin was clean and sparkling. The AC unit worked great downstairs and the two window units upstairs did great for upstairs. The kitchen was properly stocked. We loved the cast iron skillet. The thoughtfulness of items around the cabin were wonderful! David and Dawn were wonderful hosts. Great communication but not too much communication. The furshinings were great in my opinion. I needed throw pillows for some seats but they were provided. I'm also shorter so other family members didn't need the pillows. The outdoor seating and furniture were fabulous! So many choices to enjoy the wooded view. Or to watch the kids run around. I enjoyed my morning coffee out there and the kids enjoyed bubbles that the hosts provided ❤️ The water pressure was good in the showers. The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy! I can't say enough about how great our stay was! We hope to come back again.
