A little about the community:

Singleton Beach is Hilton Head Islands youngest beach beach community. It feature lovely Charlestonian style homes sitting right between a lovely salt marsh, tidal. Creek, and the ocean. It is all private homes and there are no condos. Although all of the homes have their own private pools the community also has a community pool as well In addition to the beach you will enjoy the Chaplin Oceanside park just a few hundred yards away. Within walking distance of the house you will find tennis courts, basketball courts, bike trails, a dog park, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a playground. If you are not familiar with the Singleton Beach area it is located mid island right between Palmetto Dunes and the Marriott Surf watch Resort (which are both very popular resorts on the island. It's mid island location makes it convenient to all the amenities Hilton Head Island, and Bluffton have to offer. The areas best restaurants, shopping, and recreational amenities are all a short bike ride away

This house needs some upgrades!

The home is beautiful...the carpet definitely needs replaced it is very worn and dirty. We found bugs in the house. The toilet paper was of the lowest quality. There was sand all around in pool area. They came to clean it up but that is unacceptable in my mind for this type of property. Also, the hot tub didn’t work. Someone came to repair it and it still didn’t work and even after the second repair it didn’t work Properly. Also the sheets didn’t seem To fit on the bed in the second Floor master. The couches were ripped in many cases. Just not up to the quality you expect for the price being charged!!

Bait & Switch

Filthily. House had not been cleaned, we had to call PM, cleaning team got there at 7pm and left at 8pm. We could not move in until 8pm. Pictures from previous owner were used. Hot Tub broken for over a month and we were not told that. Mold in Putt Putt room, around the pool and garage. Balconies were bare, the top balcony had a few rotten spots, were afraid to sit out there. Broken rocking chair on pool deck. TVs did not work in most of the bedrooms, stove in play room does not work. Furniture old and worn out, stuffing coming out of sofa, broken door on cabinet. Kitchen floor tiles cracked. Kitchen had stuff in it but not in good condition, couldn't find a sharp knife any where, only 2 stemware glasses. Carpets extremely dirty. Bedsheets ill fitting, kept coming un made. FYI- if you have young kids watch out for the NUDE SUNBATHER NEXT DOOR. One excuse after another from the property manager about the condition of the house. It has potential, needs a ton of updating The only good thing was the access to Beach.

Great House. Great Location

We spent 7 days here. 8 adults. 4 children. And we loved it. Pros: - The house is in an excellent location. Very close to the airport and it's right on the beach. - The property manager was very responsive and very accommodating. - The house was a good size for our party size (though if anyone else would have come, we wouldn't have had enough beds). - Plenty of towels and bathroom toiletries were provided - The kitchen is well equipped for what it is. Some old stuff, but good enough for those looking to cook. - Air conditioning worked great. Cons: - The house needs some repairs: the carpet is dirty and old. Some of the doors get stuck. Many of the blinds didn't work. Etc. - The pool equipment is old and the filter wasn't working when we were there. The pool company came out to fix it and had to chlorinate the pool (we lost one day because of it, which was hard on the kids especially). -The owner doesn't heat the jacuzzi in the summer months so we couldn't use it. Would recommend not listing it as an amenity to avoid any expectations. Property manager was very helpful in answering all our questions though. It also kept leaking water so we had to constantly keep filling it with water since the jets were working. Overall, we were very pleased and we would definitely recommend this house.
