Cabin nestled in the Pines near Lake Pactola! ATV trails! Mt Rushmore! WI-FI

The Black Hills are often underestimated because of the word “Hills”. This fact becomes apparent as you wind your way up hairpin turns high up on Edelweiss Mountain. The 1500 sq. ft. 3 bedroom mountain cabin is located at (5600 ft elevation) above sea level in the heart of the Black Hills and surrounded by National Forest. The cabin is located among the pine trees on Edelweiss Mountain just twelve miles north of Hill City South Dakota and three switchback country miles off of the Scenic drive U.S. Highway 385. Located within minutes of Pactola Lake, Sheridan Lake, and the Mickelson & Centennial Trails.

The perfect area for boating, hunting, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, golfing, skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking, off-roading, and sightseeing - Minutes from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, and Custer State Park. The cabin is located near several ATV trails, drive to the trails from the cabin. Additional parking for trailers available on private lot. This mountain cabin retreat is truly in the heart of the Hills, hidden away from, but easily accessible to all Black Hills attractions.
There is ample parking for vehicles and trailers, so bring your ATV's or rent from one of the many local vendors in Hill City. There are endless ATV/UTV trails right off the property!

Please note Three switchback country miles off of U.S. Highway 385 to the cabin location.

We had a great stay at this cabin. It is a very clean cabin. The host was very responsive and seemed to really care that we had what we needed to have a pleasant stay in their cabin. We were there to take our jeeps and utvs off roading, this cabin was located in the perfect location for that!

The property is on a winding dirt road, tucked a couple miles into the black hills. It was quiet and comfortable, great for a getaway. The house was just right for 2 families (2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, a bedroom plus murphy bed and bathroom downstairs). The kitchen was well equipped with cookware, dishes, silverware, coffee pot and even some spices. There are even some board games and puzzles available, and moveis. The host replied very quickly to a question we had about the grill. The outside deck made for comfortable lounging and meals. There are cows that roam, which we enjoyed seeing and hearing. As well as wild turkeys. There is laundry onsite which can be helpful. We had a great trip!

My fiance and 5 of our children (ranging in age from 19 to 5) stayed at this beautiful Cabin during our Black Hills vacation. The Cabin slept all 7 of us comfortably and could have easily accommodated more! The location was perfect! It was quietly nestled in the woods, creating a serene and peaceful place to stay! The neighborhood is very close to numerous trail access points for ATV riding (which i highly recommend). The Cabin was very clean and accommodating. It came equipped with most anything one may need during a stay(aside from groceries of course). Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay all the way around! It's very apparent that this Cabin is loved and cared for and we are very appreciative we were able to share in it's beauty!

My wife and I and our 4 children stayed a week. The house was exactly as described and had everything we needed as far as laundry, cooking, cleaning, and 2 full bathrooms. All if us loved the mountain cabin decor and the wraparound deck with large gas grill. We cooked on the grill almost everyday and used the oven for my daughter's birthday cake. The kitchen had all the utensils nescasarry to make all this happen without a fuss. The kids loved the card and board games available in the laundry room. The 3 bedrooms were more than adequate and spacious for our needs and the lower level has a couch that pulls out and is very comfortable as well as a bed that pulls down from the wall that looks like a cabinet. Once you fold it down it even has LED lights on the headboard that are dimmable. My wife and I had two sedans and had no trouble with the dirt road to the cabin. There was plenty of parking below the driveway that we did not use since both our sedans fit nicely in the driveway. We chose this location because it was in the middle of all the places we wanted to see in the black hills. This was a bucket list trip for us and the tranquil, peacefull location was perfect for us. The stars at night from the deck were amazing. There is WIFI, but we didn't use it for much more than Netflix at night since the kids enjoyed sacking out in the living room with the decor making it so cozy. We would stay again.

The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Our family of eight enjoyed being together and there was plenty of room. It is close to Pactola Lake where we spent Father's Day with a picnic and playing in the water. Easy to come back and bbq steaks for dinner. Great vacation!

Beautiful family getaway on nearly the top of a mountain. Beautiful views, plenty of room, and very peaceful. Hosts were easy to communicate with, informative, and thorough. It was a lovely stay.

Cabin Getaway

We were looking for a remote, peaceful place, and this definitely fit the bill. We enjoyed our stay here and sitting on the deck, enjoying the pines. It was close to the major attractions that we were interested in also.

Very nice property away from the city!

We had our yearly family vacation here this year and we couldn’t have been more relaxed and happy in this cabin away from home! It is far enough away from the city to relax but close enough to do everything we had on our list❤️

Black hills vacation

Great cabin. Very quiet and convenient to Custer state park, Mount Rushmore and Deadwood. Don’t miss the sunsets on pactola reservoir.

Quiet getaway

Very clean, spacious home in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds and large deck to spend time outdoors. Beautiful views. Highly recommend this home for a fun getaway in the Black Hills.

The house was perfect for our family. It was very clean and had everything that you can need. Plenty of room for our 3 couples and two kids. Nice patio to sit out on for your morning coffee. We also saw a doe and a turkey with her babies. Hearing a turkey gobble in the morning was so neat. The cabin is also close to the swimming area and great hiking trails. Communication with the owners was wonderful, really appreciated the quick response. We loved our stay at the cabin!!!
