Family Beach Vacation

Everything was wonderful, from check in till we left. We had Amazing weather which was a plus but the beach was beautiful, the neighbors were friendly and the area in general was very nice. We've been vacationing at the beach for 20+ years now and this was by far our favorite beach house. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

Beach getaway

This was our second year staying at Keeping it Salty and we hope to be back next year for our third year in a row! It’s the cutest little house and perfect for our little family vacation. It’s always so clean even being a dog friendly house - you’d never know it (we don’t have a dog). It’s conveniently located to all the food and the little grocery store that you could walk if you needed/wanted to. Definitely recommend staying here!

Holiday Weekend

The house was in good shape. The location was fantastic. Easy to walk to town. Close enough to the bridge to hike across. Access to the beach was fantastic. No complaints.

Amazing home!

We so enjoyed our week at Keeping it Salty! The house was beautiful decorated and very clean. It does have a LOT of stairs but we didn’t mind the extra workout lol we will for sure keep this house in mind for next year!

Amazing inside & out!

My family and I had the best vacation here on the sand! The beach and water are spectacular ! The interior was so well appointed , clean and had everything we needed. It was the first time on vacation we were sad to go home Bec We loved it so much. Thx you. Teresa & Mark

Super duper on the beach!

If you want a lovely house right on the water this is the place for you. Very clean, has everything you need, comfortable beds, 2 decks, quiet street, stairs right to the beach…. the whole package. If you have trouble climbing stairs this is not the place for you, it is 3 stories….lots of stairs! We loved this place and think you will too!

Awesome property

Great stay here with our young family. Close to everything in Surf City so we had tons of options for nearby spots for dinners. Floor plan was perfect for us and amazing, unobstructed views from most of the rooms. The unit was very clean when we arrived and beds comfortable. Only complaint is the ability to stream any form of live TV; wanted to watch football but logging into multiple apps through our accounts was not allowed on the TV. Had it not been football season we would’ve never noticed.

The home was very comfortable for our family. Tons of beautiful modern updates, and very thoughtful accommodating details that we have never seen in other rentals. We loved it! My only suggestion would be to put a railing on the top bunk, we were too nervous to let any of the kids sleep up there.

Some good,somebad

The property overall was pretty good. We did arrive to find hair balls in the master bath shower and sink. We called the property manager and didn't hear from them for 2 days. It is a nice house and is well located. Unfortunately we also had rats running around on the deck and the ground below.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you found the home and location nice. It is our expectation that the home has the highest cleanliness standards. We do apologize about the missed call. Unfortunately we were in the process of switching phone systems at that time and your voicemail was missed. As soon as your voicemail was received, we immediately called you back. It is our standard to respond to all guests concerns immediately and we apologize that during this transition we did not live up to our standards. Also, the owners have monthly pest control for this home and have never had issues (prior or since your stay) with rodents. If Landmark is made aware of any issues during a guest's stay, we work to immediately rectify the situation, however, we were not told that you had seen any pests until after you checked out of the property. We did take immediate action and had the pest company make an emergency service call to the home.

Perfect Quiet Beach Getaway

My family enjoyed an amazing week together at Keeping it Salty in Surf City, NC! This was the perfect, beachfront quiet getaway. The house was perfect for our 3 generations - plenty of space for everyone to be together and enough privacy when we needed it. Beyond the calm coastal decor, the house and kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. For as amazing as the actual home is - the view, decks and beach access were even more spectacular. We spent nearly our entire week relaxing on the beach, swimming in the ocean and searching for beach treasures. It was perfect! When a small issue arose with the dryer, the management company was quick to respond. They sent a temporary fix immediately and had the repair completed in less than 24 hours. We appreciated that the entire experience was swift and stress-free.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just had the best time at Keeping it Salty. The home was updated and in great condition. Everything as it seems on the pictures. The location to town was within walking distance which was nice. Easy to get in and out of the drive and quick to get into town or across the bridge. There is a bit of new home construction going on in the area, but we only heard them once the whole week. The steps down to the beach were a bit steep for our kids, but they managed well. Lots of room to play in the sand or in the water right outside your door. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Surf City rental.

Good stay but I have feedback...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was updated and mostly clean. However there was pet hair along some edges of the house and on one set of the bed sheets. Upon arrival the AC was broken and the house was 90 degrees. But they got the AC fixed in a timely fashion. We rented this house and the attached house next door but there was no way to connect one house to the other. So we had to go up and down a lot of stairs to see each other. Overall it was good and we’d stay here again. But went really like the connection of the upper decks to be an option.

Immaculate

The house was immaculate, well appointed and tastefully decorated. You cannot beat the location and the deck chairs were so fun!
