The unit was clean, limited supplies and an amazing view! On previous stays, different units- there was always a gate opener for exiting and entering the property. We arrived after 4 on Friday so there was no one to check the car in with so that it would open automatically. On more than one occasion when we called security over the weekend they told us to use the opener in the unit. We had to explain that our unit does not have one. Just a small inconvenience.We are already planning our trip for next year.

Beautiful condo with an unbeatable view. Easy access to a great beach and a short trip to all the restaurants in Wailea. We’ve stayed at Makena Surf before and this trip was as good as ever.

Beautiful location and property. The snorkeling off the property was the best. That's why the snorkel boats stop there.The grounds and pools were wonderful.

Amazing view, condo and facilities at Makena Surf. The property was immaculate and felt like a true community. Fantastic beaches and great water for adults and kids as well as snorkelers! Can’t beat the sunsets and amazing location of this property.

Our unit was as impressive as we remembered from 2024. The unit was immaculate, perfect location, well furnished and decorated, the view and sound of the ocean waves was zen-like. Beyond the few minor administrative issues, the only discomfort was with the Samsung TV Plus programming. This TV program does not offer any real-time local channels. Instead, it offers highly dated programs for all categories (comedy, crime, MLB, etc), where some options are from the black and white era. The only way to stay in touch with local (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) broadcast is to plug in a digital “rabbit ears” to the TV; we did not experience this in 2024. Fortunately, the live broadcasts by the major networks at the national level (e.g. Jan Psaki) were available. Nature took away the two sandy beaches that were steps away from our unit; Nolo Hurricane severely eroded most of the sand leaving volcanic rocks as the path to the ocean. We adore the turtles living around the rocky point in front of the complex. Today, few attempted to enter the water from the beach because of the painful challenge of having to step over the rocky ocean floor to reach the deeper end. Children no longer play in the water. No one body or boogie surf the waves because the waves would pound surfers, onto sharp rocks. I wish I can post pictures to show the dramatic change. We pray that the County will replenish the eroded beach.

Wonderful Accommodation

We stayed here for a glorious week in February and spent a lot of time just watching whales from the beautiful lanai. A truly wonderful, well-equipped place to stay. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Maui.

Amazing views and location

Would definitely stay here again! Worth the price! Access to pool and beautiful beaches by short walks. Great location for restaurants etc. condo well stocked and maintained.

Everything about this listing was amazing. The location, amenities, well-appointed kitchen, and stunning views exceeded all expectations. The gate offers additional security and our Host was communicative and helpful before and during our stay. Beds were comfy, A/C excellent, and the beach felt practically private!

Wow! Beautiful condo on the beach with all the amenities. If you like the sound of the surf from your living room this is the place to be. Everything was perfect!

Outstanding!

The accommodations were superb! Super clean and even saw the whales from our deck. Went out with Steady Pressure Sportfishing and caught 6 big yellowfin tuna, and had fresh ahi for dinner. Definitely try and be back next year!!

Wonderful stay!

We loved our stay here! Unbelievable view from the lanai, lovely grounds and pool, and a few extra pleasant surprises such as a large herb garden and BBQ area just steps from our condo, as well as pickleball (with racquets to check out). The location is perfect, with lovely walks in either direction, beautiful beaches and great snorkeling and diving right outside your door. Kitchen was also well-stocked, with a whole shelf-full of spices, oils and vinegar etc. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Family vacation

Makena Surf is an incredible place. This was our 3rd stay at this resort and we can't wait to cone again. The unit is very well maintained. The views from the lanai are breathtaking. Anke is a great host, she responded to all our questions in a timely manner, checkin and checkout were very easy.

Condo was clean and beautiful. Bed was little uncomfortable but overall everything was great! The view from the balcony was unforgettable. Awesome!

Incredible stay

We were impressed with this property during our entire stay. It's clean, has many amenities, quiet, the grounds are meticulously maintained, and the best part is the view. We couldn't get enough of the view from sunrise to sunset. We could see turtles from our balcony! We were so comfortable staying here. The location was close enough to restaurants, stores, and very close to many quiet beaches! We loved our vacation in Maui and would absolutely stay here again!

Heartstopping View

Location, location, and location. The ocean is at your fingertips! The entire complex is perfect. The manager of the condo was very accomodating. We miss waking up to the ocean view and a great cup of Maui coffee.
