Super cute, fun studio steps from everything beachy. Gecko House Manasota Key.

Part of Gecko House on Manasota Key, this ground floor, corner studio is light and bright with a view of the salt water pool. It has a surprising amount of space for a studio, including two dressers, two large nightstands, and a decent sized closet. The kitchen is a pleasant surprise as well with a full sized refrigerator, stove, microwave and a Keurig. Everything you need to prepare and serve meals - except the food - is provided, if you are in the mood to cook. Linens and towels are provided - just bring your beach clothes!

The studio is normally set up with comfortable twin beds, but they can easily be converted to a king - just let us know your preference. There are two comfortable recliners and a small tv. Wireless internet and cable tv are included.

The best part of this studio is it is steps from Lemon Bay with amazing sunrises and fishing, and steps from private beach access on the Gulf of Mexico. Pelicans, herons, sandpipers, osprey are common sights while walking the beach, and if you’re lucky dolphins! You can walk the beach searching for amazing shells or shark teeth, or swim in the beautiful water or simply relax on your beach chair. Of course, you can always step outside your door and relax at the salt water pool in the chaise lounge made for two.

Everything about our stay was perfect! Marti is an excellent host. My daughter and Ihad the best girls trip. We utilized the pool, stumpy's transportation and felt so safe the whole time. Thank you!!

Relaxing vacation

We stayed in the studio and it was perfect for the two of us. Marti and Rod are wonderful hosts. We were about 3 minutes from the beach. Had a wonderful time!

Relaxing and beautiful!

The property was located on a beautiful, private street, tucked away just a short walk from the beach. The pool was a great place to relax too! The property owners were so friendly and the room was very comfortable. Beach towels, beach chairs, and more were provided!

The Geiko house exceeded our expectations, was extremely clean! We stayed in the studio part, which had plenty of room for my wife and myself. The bathroom was tight, but we managed, not a complaint! Loved the Keurig, didn't have to fool with filters and grinds! Pool was great only used it a few times, mostly at the beach, which we pretty much had to ourselves, that was really nice! I got to fish the bay as well as the ocean, I really liked that. Overall had a great time!

Simply Paradise

Marti and Rod are truly outstanding hosts. The property is exactly what they listed and more. Anything you need they have it there for you beach gear, kitchen cookware, linens and everything in between. The location is just awesome, 50 yards to the private area on the bay to watch beautiful sunrises and 200 yards to your private piece of beach on the gulf for breathtaking sunsets. This gem tucked away off of beach road is a slice of heaven. And I just can’t put into words how Marti and Rod are just amazing people and such a pleasure to visit with. Couldn’t wait to book for next year. Thank you Marti and Rod for the most relaxing enjoyable vacation we have had in a long time.

Gecko House

Es war einfach überragend. Der Vermieter ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es ist absolut alles reibungslos verlaufen, außer ein Hurrikan, aber der Vermieter hat uns kostenfrei ein Upgrade gegeben um unsere Sicherheit zu gewähren. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder!

Not Disappointed

This property did not disappoint and neither did the owner. First of all let me say the property was as expected. I stayed in the small unit and it met my needs. The pool was right out the side door. Laundry facilities just steps away and super convenient. Owner provides detergent, etc…I did not have a vehicle and there is a shuttle service on the island. Both the Bay and the beach was a short walk. Beach chairs, coolers, towels are all at the property for your use. Don’t overpack, don’t overthink it. Everything you need is here. Grocery stores will even deliver. Now, as for the owner; Marti is absolutely amazing!! She communicates and gets back to you very quickly answering questions and providing information. She has a beautiful nature and welcoming spirit. She goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. I have a friend in the area and Marti welcomed her in visiting and simple makes you feel at home. You will love this nice, quiet spot. I stayed here at the end of September, off season. It was perfect! Community was low-key, no hustle and bustle. Outdoor restaurants with live music. Just a wonderful lazy vacation which is exactly what I was looking for. I will return!

Home away from home

We couldn't ask for a better experience. Staying at Marti's place was just what we were looking for... Low key, A beach near by, a pool, and somewhere to unwind. The beach was absolutely beautiful. So private, at one point we were the only ones there. The house is located smack dab in the middle of a two minute walk to the beach or a 2 minute walk to the a private dock on Lemon bay. We had kayaks delivered right to the house, went out on the water and played with the manatees. Rented jet skis, took them out to the gulf and hung out with the dolphins. My boyfriend and I are gym rats which there was one of the most magical gyms (bay fit) near by that we went to daily. Grocery store a few minutes away for all your weekly essentials. Again, there isn't a thing to complain about when staying here... Marti will make this place feel like home and we can't wait to return.

Great Little Escape!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gecko a house. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet Marti as she was away, but her communication and Guest Hosts were perfect. Red tide was an issue at the beach while we were visiting, but Marti has a great salt water pool and we spent our days enjoying the quiet and lounging at the pool instead. Location is awesome! A few minute walk to the beach, close to stores and to restaurants. We love to eat at small local places with a view of the water and we found a different one each night and had great meals.

Paradise in Paradise.

I should say location, location and location but in this case first are the owners. Marty and Rod welcome you with a big smile, very friendly and down to earth. Confortable beds and AC that works excellent. I stayed in the studio. Everything you need is there to have a wonderful relax time. If you want to cook you have a kitchen with utensils, pans, plates, cups, etc. if you drink coffee you have a keurig. The pool is a plus. Two minutes walk to the beach and 3 min drive to 3 very good restaurants. Love to see the sunrise in one side (1 min walk) and sunset in the other side (2 min walk). Paradise in Paradise.

Peaceful Restoration

If you like to avoid crowds and enjoy peace with tranquility, this is your spot! Either Bay or Gulf are at opposite ends of a short stroll down the street of your condo, and with the salt water pool right out your door, all are a water lovers dream😍 5-15 minute drive in any direction meets all your desires for shopping, dining, entertainment and exploring. Wonderful attentive Hosts Marti and Rod made a lasting impression and friendship that I took home with me and look forward to my next visit to pick up right where we left off🥰 THE PERFECT PLACE TO REST and RESTORE👊🏼

Gecko house on Manasota Key in Florida is Paradise

Manasota Key is our favorite place in Florida to vacation. It sits along the Gulf and Lemon Bay there's four beaches that are amazing. Our Bungalow at Gecko house was perfect they had everything we needed including a beautiful saltwater pool with plenty of seating. The hosts, Marti & Rod are wonderful people. They are very gracious and kind. They made our stay even more enjoyable by hanging out at the pool and sharing favorite stories with us. We stayed two weeks and it wasn't long enough, we can't wait to go back. Gecko house is our new go to vacation house from now on!

The Perfect Paradise Oasis

When we count our lucky stars, we count Gecko House, too! It is truly the perfect paradise oasis that we were seeking. Manasota Key is one of our favorite places in Florida, and Gecko House is situated on the island perfectly! It sits on the Lemon Bay side of the road (with access to a dock), but it's also just a short walk away to a stunningly beautiful beach through a deeded beach access path. Sit at the pool or go to the beach... That's the toughest decision we had to make. This is truly an island retreat, so one must know that little island critters are around but we find them fun to watch. The hosts, Rod & Marti, are most hospitable and so much fun to be around. Thank you both for a most amazing stay. We've traveled the world, and can't wait to come back to you! If you want a laid-back vacation, make sure to visit Gecko House. Its old-Florida charm is addicting. Watching the ospreys gracefully gliding or listen to the sounds of various birds is most entertaining. Trust us, you won't want to leave. We didn't!
