Unfortunately the door connecting our unit to another unit was broken and wouldnt lock, but it was fixed for us on the 2nd day of our stay. I really really didnt like having open access to our room over night though. Wifi did not work for the entire stay and pool schedule and rules changed daily without notice based on the friendliness of the lifeguard. The unit was very nice with the exception of missing cabinet doors and broken mirrors, but they give a lovely welcome gift and all the appliances are new and nice. Location was wonderful and loved the access to the beach.

Girls weekend with Mom & Sisters

Spent the weekend in South Haven with mom and two sisters and we stayed in Cottage 8B. Everything was wonderful and just as described. Clean/ updated bathrooms and kitchen and not pictured was an oversized dining table and couch/ chairs in the living room with the fireplace. The weather ended up being spectacular so we took advantage of both porches (front & back) to enjoy our coffee and wine and were even able to get down to the beach one afternoon. Beach access could not have been easier or more convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back...planning on walking the beach right into town!

Reviewer Comments: Despite all the photos of a gorgeous pool - it is not open and available due to staffing issues, so that was a big disappointment for my daughter. The house itself is perfect, very clean, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. There’s a beautiful beach and other amenities, like tennis and basketball courts. I would stay here again, but website needs to reflect the pool issue. Not really fair to people who book for that reason.

Thanks Sarah for your critiques! I absolutely share your pain regarding the lifeguard situation. We normally have 3 lifeguards scheduled at any given time, however due to the horrible staff shortage this year, we are down to one. Due to our pool size we are required by code to have a lifeguard every time that the pool is to be opened. I sure hope that this situation will not be repeating itself next year, and hope you will give us a second chance! Take care, Dale.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. Kitchen was fully stocked, we cooked /grilled all our meals in the cottage. The amenities at the resort were perfect for the kids, heated pool, kiddie pool, park, yard games . We visited the beach on the resort property, however it is almost non existent due to the water level but there are many public beaches nearby. The staff did advise us ahead of time about the beach so we weren't disappointed. We will definitely be back for future family vacations!

Many in our group had never stayed there before and were completely charmed. Each the 3 units we rented had it's own well pulled together vibe and was well appointed. Cottage 8B Annual Family Vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love coming to Sleepy Hollow - it’s secluded, almost all-inclusive and nearby shopping, great food and entertainment. Our extended family rents 6+ cottages and we enjoy hanging out together. Special memories that we have enjoyed for years. That said, we are disappointed that the lake has overtaken the beach, and feel that the rental cost is no longer equitable with limited amenities. (No volleyball, evening fire pits, walks along the beach, etc.) We will likely return to Sleepy Hollow, yet no longer on an annual basis.
