Tahoe Donner 4BR+Office: Hot Tub, AC, Sleeps 12

Welcome to our Tahoe Donner retreat — a 4BD home with office that sleeps 12, made for groups, families, and ski trips. Private hot tub, AC (rare in Tahoe), 3.5 baths, huge deck, EV charger, and business-grade WiFi with three desk setups for remote work. We're 10 min from Donner Lake and downtown Truckee, 20 min to Palisades Tahoe and Northstar. Guests can also access Tahoe Donner's private amenity package — XC skiing, beach club, pools, golf — and the public trails network.

HOT TUB
The backyard has a private hot tub — perfect after a day skiing, hiking, paddleboarding on Donner, or just sitting under the stars with a glass of wine. We keep it well-maintained and ready to go year-round.

LIVING ROOM
The open-concept living room is built for groups, with tons of seating, a beautiful fireplace, a smart TV, and a 5.1 surround sound system. It flows directly into the kitchen and dining area, so everyone can hang out together without anyone feeling stuck in another room.

KITCHEN + DINING ROOM
The chef's kitchen has all the high-end appliances you'd expect in a modern home — gas range, full-size fridge, dishwasher — so you can comfortably cook for the whole group. Both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker are on the counter. The dining table seats the full group.

BEDROOMS
The home has 5 sleeping areas total:
- Primary bedroom (upstairs): King bed, smart TV, private deck access, large ensuite with jacuzzi tub
- Bedroom 2 (upstairs): Queen bed, desk, ensuite bathroom
- Bedroom 3: Queen bed, desk; shares a bathroom with Bedroom 4
- Bedroom 4: Bunk bed plus trundle; shares a bathroom with Bedroom 3
- Office / library: Two twin beds (trundle setup) plus a full desk with monitor

Every room has big windows, plenty of natural light, and good furniture.

TAHOE DONNER AMENITY ACCESS (PLEASE READ)
One of the best parts of staying here is access to Tahoe Donner's amenity package — but the rules changed in 2025 and we want to be upfront about how it works.
Public amenities (open to all guests, no restrictions):
- Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort (great for beginners and families)
- Cross Country Ski Center at Alder Creek (100+ km of groomed trails)
- Bikeworks (mountain bike rentals, trails)
- Equestrian Center (trail rides, pony rides)
- Golf course
- Snowplay (winter tubing)
- 60+ miles of public hiking and biking trails throughout the community

Private amenities (Short-Term Tenant Cards required):
- Trout Creek Recreation Center (gym, pools, hot tubs)
- Beach Club Marina on Donner Lake
- Northwoods Clubhouse (pools, tennis, pickleball)
- Aquatics center
- The Lodge Restaurant & Pub member areas

For access to the private amenities, Tahoe Donner now requires Short-Term Tenant Cards. Here's how it works for our guests:

We provide up to 6 transferable cards per stay
A daily access fee is paid at the amenity: $30 for ages 7+, $10 for ages 3–6, free for ages 0–2
Blackout dates apply on major holidays (MLK, President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's). On those dates, the private amenities are reserved for Tahoe Donner members only — but everything in the public list above is still available with no restrictions.

WORK FROM HOME SETUP
Three desk setups across the bedrooms and office (one with an external monitor) plus fast business-grade WiFi designed to handle multiple simultaneous video calls. Several guests have used the house as a productive remote-work base for a week or two — it's especially good in spring and fall when the trails are quiet and the rates are lower.

ENTERTAINMENT
Three smart TVs with Chromecasts for streaming, plus a 5.1 sound system in the living room.
PARKING + EV CHARGING
Space for 4 vehicles total: 2 in the garage, 2 in the driveway. Level 2 EV charger in the garage — bring the EV and top up overnight.
Important parking notes:
-Street parking is prohibited at all times in Tahoe Donner
- In winter, we strongly recommend 3 cars max (2 is ideal) so the driveway can be plowed properly. More than 3 cars makes plowing difficult and can leave you stuck.

GUEST ACCESS
The home is accessed via a smart Wi-Fi lock — you'll get a personal code before arrival. Early check-in is often possible if the home is ready; just message us ahead of time. The whole house, deck, hot tub, garage, and parking spaces are all yours for the length of your stay.
