The Space:

Whether you're visiting for a winter ski trip, summer mountain adventure, or relaxing Tahoe getaway, Donner Adventure Lodge gives larger families and groups plenty of room to spread out and enjoy Truckee together.



With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 9 beds, and two separate living areas, the home is especially well suited for extended families, multiple families traveling together, and group retreats. The home is allowed up to 10 guests plus up to 5 additional children under 13, giving families with younger children added flexibility.



The main living area features vaulted ceilings, comfortable gathering space, a gas fireplace, and a large 65" smart HDTV. A second living area provides another place to relax, play games, or let the kids hang out with the PlayStation 5. TVs are also provided in every bedroom.



The fully equipped kitchen has a gas range, generous counter space, island seating for 4, and everything you need to prepare a family breakfast or holiday meal. The dining table seats 6, with additional seating at the kitchen island.



The sleeping arrangement is particularly flexible for larger groups. Two upper-level bedrooms each feature a queen bed, while the lower-level bedrooms offer an impressive bunk setup with four queen beds in one room and a twin-over-full bunk plus futon in the other. The bunk rooms give kids and larger groups plenty of space while allowing adults to spread out across the other bedrooms.



Outside, enjoy the peaceful wooded backyard surrounded by tall pines, along with a large deck and propane BBQ. There's no home directly behind the property, creating a private mountain setting to enjoy after a day on the trails or slopes.



Located in Tahoe Donner, you're just 3 miles from Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area and Cross Country Ski Area, 2.5 miles from Tahoe Donner Golf Course, and about 4 miles from historic downtown Truckee. Donner Memorial State Park is also about 3 miles away, while Northstar and Palisades Tahoe are an easy drive for additional skiing and mountain adventures.



Guests can also purchase passes for access to Tahoe Donner's private amenities, including pools, hot tub, fitness center, saunas, tennis courts, golf, and other recreation facilities.

Bedroom 1 – Primary Suite: Queen bed + 55" smart HDTV, attached bathroom.

Bedroom 2: Queen bed + 50" smart HDTV.

Bedroom 3 – Lower-Level Bunk Room: Two queen-over-queen bunk sets, providing 4 queen beds total, plus a 43" smart HDTV.

Bedroom 4 – Lower-Level Bunk Room: Twin-over-full bunk bed + futon sleeper sofa + 65" smart HDTV.



Total: 9 beds across 4 bedrooms, with additional sleeping flexibility from the futon.



Bathrooms:

Bathroom 1: Full bathroom.

Bathroom 2: Full bathroom.

Bathroom 3: Half bathroom.



Fresh towels and professionally laundered bedding are provided for every stay. Each shower includes spa quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Guest Access:

You will have access to the entire property, except for a locked owner's closet. Guest access to Tahoe Donner private amenities available, with guest passes and nominal fee.



The Neighborhood:

Nestled in the heart of Tahoe Donner, our cabin offers the perfect mountain escape with easy access to year round adventure. You are ideally located just three miles from both the downhill and cross country ski areas and a short two and a half mile drive from the local golf course. For a taste of local culture, historic downtown Truckee is only four miles away, offering a variety of charming shops and excellent dining options. Nature lovers will appreciate being just three miles from the scenic Donner Memorial State Park, while world class skiing at Northstar California and Palisades Tahoe is within a short drive. A grocery store is conveniently located three miles away for all your needs. Guests also have access to fantastic resort amenities including a fitness center, swimming pools, a hot tub, and a sauna, available for an additional fee.



Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is best for getting around Tahoe Donner and Truckee. We provide a two car garage and driveway space for two additional vehicles (4 total permitted), but street parking is prohibited. The Reno Tahoe International Airport is about forty five minutes away. During winter, we recommend a four wheel drive vehicle or tire chains for safe travel on mountain roads.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

* Most of the Tahoe Donner amenities have a nominal fees, with guest pass, if you choose to use them. Trout Creek Rec Center is currently $30 per guest; infants 0-2 years old are free, kids 3-6 are $10.

* All vacation rentals have a max of 6 passes for 6 guests to use amenities at once.
