IMPORTANT RESORT AMENITY NOTICE – SEPTEMBER 14–23, 2026

The resort pool, splash pad, hot tubs, sports courts, and outdoor seating area for the bar & grill are scheduled to be closed for maintenance and repairs September 14–23, 2026, weather permitting. Rates for stays during these dates have been reduced to reflect the temporary amenity closures.

The game room, fitness center, retail/ice cream shop (8 AM–6 PM), and free movie theater will remain open during their regular hours. The bar & grill will also remain open for take-out, including pizza.

Welcome to CR Getaway!
Our love for Disney started even before we had children—our very first Disney adventure was during our honeymoon at Disneyland! Since then, our passion for all things Disney has grown, especially as our family has expanded. We took almost annual trips to Orlando with our two children when they were young, and now we get to share the magic with our grandchildren too.

We found our perfect home base in Kissimmee, just 10 minutes from Disney, where we can enjoy the parks and so much more. Whether it’s day trips to the Gulf and Atlantic beaches or exploring charming spots like Sarasota and Tampa Bay, we love having so many options at our fingertips. But what makes it truly special is having the comfort and convenience of our own home to return to. No more renting multiple rooms—we have everything we need right here at CR Getaway.

Sharing our home with friends, family, and new guests is something we’re passionate about. When our kids were little, we stayed in one hotel room, which meant the same bedtime and morning routine for everyone—something every parent knows can be challenging! Once we experienced staying in a vacation home, we realized just how much we had been missing. We know how important affordable and comfortable accommodations are for families, and we're excited to offer that experience to others at CR Getaway.!

Location, Value and Excellent Services:
We bought this home in Paradise Palms to make it more affordable for larger families to stay together AND be close to the parks. We have already found that making breakfast and snacks before heading out is a big-time money saver. We have returned to the resort to make/eat lunch and even grab a quick nap before heading back to the parks. When the day is over, and we are exhausted, we are not waiting for a bus or standing on a bus back to the hotel. We are in our car and making short drive back to the resort for a nice swim before bed.
With staying off-resort, we also have room in our budget to stay a bit longer and include some resort days or other site-seeing. Staying at the resort for the day is a very relaxing way to ramp up for the next park day. Sleep in, make breakfast, take a stroll along the natural wetland, swim in the private pool and take breaks for a nap, meals, game, clubhouse swim or a movie in the theater clubhouse! Or rent a cabana at the clubhouse for the day and have a shady spot to nap and rest from play. The poolside bar and grill have excellent food and drink options.

It has an amazing "at home" feeling. No backyard neighbors is a huge plus, as privacy in our pool area is very important to us. Sitting out in the covered lanai for breakfast or in the evenings is especially relaxing. Taking a dip any time of the day or night is a luxury. Being together, yet having our own space, is the perfect accommodation for our family.

We looked at several resorts and homes in the area. However, Paradise Palms had a warm, friendly and neighborly feeling and we wanted to find the right home on this resort. Uniquely, Paradise Palms also has a natural wetland on property, which allows for peaceful walks enjoying only the sounds of nature.
We looked at several homes on the resort but when we saw this one, with the lake in back, we knew it was meant to be.
Throughout the years we have added some unique touches and had a one-of-a-kind mural painted in our Disney Pirate Room! Using local talent was important to us, we knew we could put an inexpensive vinyl mural up instead but recognizing the amazing talent in the Orlando area has been a special treat for us.
Every time we return, we add something else or make small, updated changes.
We believe every family will be comfortable in our home and will want to return.
In our many trips back to the resort, we find more and more favorite restaurants and entertainment in the area. Some favorites include Margaritaville's Sunset Walk, for all of its restaurants, live music and shops. Especially for the Saturday evening car shows. The Island H20 water park is very popular and easily accessible from our home.
Take in some popular towns as well, Winter Garden, Clermont and Celebration.
