Just a great place to spend our week in Boothbay! Very comfortable, quiet, super clean and convenient for our area trips. Highlights for us were the Botanical Gardens (2) visits; Porter Preserve (2) visits plus the craft and farmers market in Boothbay. We look forward to coming back!

The place was clean and bright. Newer construction. Cold in the back bedrooms probably due to our not understanding of the heating system. It's a ways out from Boothbay. Difficult for 4 people to sit down to a nice lobster due to the layout. I thought it was a wee bit overpriced but that may have been to our late decision to travel to Maine. Fire pit was a winner as we used that every night. Host does provide plenty of fire wood.

Our home is located in Trevett, a quiet coastal village on Barters Island in Boothbay, offering a more peaceful, rural setting while remaining within an 8 minute drive of Boothbay Harbor and the area’s restaurants and attractions. For future guests, the home has smart thermostats with instructions provided to help everyone adjust the heat and AC to their comfort level. The kitchen table also folds out to accommodate up to six people for meals together. We appreciate your feedback and are happy to hear that the fire pit and complimentary firewood were highlights of your visit. We strive to provide a welcoming experience for every guest and appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few details for future visitors.

We absolutely loved our stay! Close to everything but far enough from the hustle and bustle to unwind. Fell in love with barter’s island; especially porter’s preserve. Our son keeps asking to go back to the “holiday house.” Coastal Maine is so special.

Awesome! Cabin is completely remodeled, airy, bright, and clean. Has everything you need - full kitchen, laundry, Large deck with table chairs and a grill, and a spacious firepit area - we used it often for smores. Close to everything. Botanical gardens, Porter Preserve, Boothbay center. 30 min to Bath, 45 min to Popham. Hosts are super responsive and helpful.

As soon as we walked in we knew we were going to love it. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and very welcoming. The kitchen had high end appliances and had everything you need to cook and dine in. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of outdoor space for him. It was so close to all of the places on the Harbor and just down the road from the Botanical Gardens. We were so pleased!!

Heavenly Woodland Retreat

So peaceful, clean, and comfortable. Great for a couple or small family. Well designed and well cared for, every need met.

Woodland Hollow was the perfect place for us. The rental was very modern, beautiful and spotlessly clean. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. Location was very convenient. Botanical Gardens, a top destination on our list was just down the road a bit. Great hiking trails also just down the road. Price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend it if you are headed to Boothbay Harbor. The owners were very easy to work with.

This was a lovely, clean and welcoming home. If anything the photos do not do it justice. It was quiet, set up thoughtfully for our comfort, and convenient to everything we wanted to explore and experience in the area. We loved being able to bring our little dog with us, and he enjoyed it as well.

We had a wonderful and relaxing week in Jen and Jake's beautiful home. The house was well located; close enough to Boothbay Harbor, but also quiet enough to relax and enjoy the time we spent closer to home. It also came fully-equipped to ensure we had all the comforts of home. Jake made a number of great suggestions on what to do while we were there - Cozy's Harbor Side Restaurant was definitely a family favorite. Can't wait to visit again

Barters Island Stay

We had an amazing week on Barters Island near Boothbay Harbor. Great location. A pristine house with every amenity you could need. We were sad to leave!

We loved our stay. The beds are so comfortable. After we figured out the heat, it worked well. We were a little disappointed that there was no firewood for the outside firepit but i contacted the owners and they were just as surprised! We went and bought some firewood from the grocery store (which they quickly reimbursed us for) and then they came the next day with some more. Being a mile from the Botanical Gardens was very convenient. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you

Beautiful Home in a Perfect Location

An absolutely perfect home. It has everything you need. Jenn and Jake were so easy to communicate with. They shared numerous, places in the area to dine and visit during our short stay. We wish we could have extended our vacation at their lovely home. It was perfect!We have already recommended this vacation home to family and friends!

Great vacation home

We really enjoyed our stay at Jake and Jen's retreat on Barter Island. The property had all of the amenities of home and a wonderful open concept. This was a great place for our family of four to rest, relax and enjoy spending quality time together. Thank you for hosting us.

Woodland Cottage was exceptional!

The Woodland Cottage exceeded our expectations. The furnishings were warm and cozy and everything you could possibly need was made available. The tranquil setting was lovely but was also close enough that it was easy to go exploring in town. There were also a few short hikes close by which were great. We highly recommend this cottage.

Quiet and peaceful setting

My friend and I felt very relaxed at this house. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with most every cooking equipment needed. The host answered any question I had very quickly and supplied information about the surrounding area. It was a great place to unwind!

This welcoming cottage was a great home base for adventures in many directions. The living/dining/kitchen area was open and inviting, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prep and enjoy meals (loved the Nescafé machine!). The beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve encountered in our travels! Overall the cottage was clean, crisp, modern, and beautifully designed. Outside a spacious deck with a Weber grill and patio table allowed us to dine al fresco. And the fire pit was a peaceful place to end the day. The quiet environment away from the hustle and bustle was a wonderful place for us to relax in nature with our two dogs. We would love to visit again!

A great family retreat.

We had a wonderful weeks stay at Jenn and Jake's place. It was perfect for a family of four. The place was extremely clean and well equipped for everything our family needed to have a comfortable stay. The location was quiet and private, yet close to all the stores the area had to offer. The owners were also very responsive, and cordial, when minor problems did arise.

Cottage was immaculate. Had the best of everything. Close to towns for dining, shopping and sightseeing. Private and Quiet. Had the best time ever
