Lakeside 3 Bedroom House Across From Association Beach!


Location, location location. Charming 3 bedroom cape, unobstructed views of the lake across from the Private Association Beach. The free public boat launch is right around the corner. All water sports are enjoyed on this lake. No boat horsepower limit, however, 40mph is enforced. Great fishing and boating with a very popular 3 foot deep sand bar for socializing with the family or with other adults. Home of Nathan Hale, who famously said, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country," before being hung for being a spy for the Americans during the Revolutionary War. His house is a museum, which has a farmers market on the weekends. The cemetery where he is buried is nestled between Patriots Park and Lakeview Restaurant, excellent seafood with seating and live music right on the water. The house has great indoor and outdoor living spaces, 2 larger bedrooms, one smaller although most of your time will be spent outside on the spacious front porch with dining table an unobstructed views of Beautiful and clean Coventry Lake. Access to the sandy private association beach right across the street. Swimming area and kayak launch, You may just fall in love with the area.

Stay by the lake!

Great little cottage for a get-a-way! Host was great and communicated well. Everything was exactly as described! Nice VBRO experience!

The location was great! The lake was good right across the street from the house! The view of the lake from the porch was good! The porch itself was dirty didn’t look like it had been swept in a while! No outside gas fireplace as said and shown in description of the house. When we entered the house the smell was gross!!!!!!!!! to me smelled like a cat box! There was an air purifier on when we got there but it wasn’t helping! The couch was like sitting in a hole! No instructions on how to use the remote for the air conditioning. Then the kitchen! 1/4 roll of paper towels. No napkins and barely any dish soap! The coffee maker yuck wouldn’t use! I have stayed at several homes and they have been nice ,clean ,supplies with staples. The fire pit area was over grown and didn’t look like the picture. This is the first time I’ve been let down not only in the description of the house but the price of the house I expected much higher standards than what I got!

We always strive to provide a comfortable experience, which is why we send a welcome email containing property instructions and our direct cell phone number. Because we only received a message from you stating that you had successfully checked in, we were unaware of any issues during your 7-day stay. We gladly would have come out immediately to address these matters for you. To address your specific concerns: Outdoor Area: Being right on the lake, the outdoor porch and fire pit area can quickly accumulate leaves, debris, or minor weeds between cleanings. The area was thoroughly vacuumed and weed-whacked just a few days prior to your arrival. We are glad you were still able to enjoy the wood fire pit, and we have since refilled the propane for the gas fire pit. Property Scent: Properties close to the water can sometimes hold a damp scent when shut down between guests, which typically clears up after opening the doors for a few minutes. Supplies: We ensure that dish soap and towels are available for every stay, with extra cleaning products located under the sink. While we do not provide napkins or paper plates, we do keep a stock of reusable hand and dish towels. Appliances: The standard coffee maker is thoroughly cleaned with vinegar regularly, but we have since replaced it with a newer model to avoid any signs of wear. We also provide a Keurig machine for guest convenience; no pods are supplied there either, as well as an AC unit preset to 71 degrees to keep the house cool during hot weather. We advertise our property as a clean, cozy lakeside house rather than a luxury resort, meaning elements of nature like beach sand and local insects are to be expected. However, your comfort is important to us. We appreciate your insights as they help us improve for future guests. Best regards, Jeff

Great house, great location, and great host

My husband, our two small children, and I stayed at this house for one week. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with access to the neighborhood private beach on Coventry Lake. The boat launch is a two minute drive away. We were able to go boating and kayaking. There is even a restaurant on the lake you can access by boat or kayak. There is a picnic table on the covered porch where we ate most of our meals. We had so much fun and built great family memories! Jeff, thanks for letting us stay at your house!

Great stay!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay! House was clean and well stocked. Great location with beach across the street. Beds were very comfortable. The front porch is the perfect place to have a morning cup of coffee/tea and enjoy the view of the lake. Owner was fast to reply to questions. We hope to be back again.

Growing up in Southern Maine I was only 9 miles from the beach and even closer to many great, large and clean lakes. There really is something to be said about "Lake Life," and I wanted to make it a part of my life. I'm active with the Coventry Water Ski Club and in the lake association and want to preserve this area for generations to come.

I searched many lakes and had offers on many properties until I found this one. The cleanliness of the lake and water and the friendliness of the people and community had me sold on this property from the beginning. It was a rough fixer upper with a prime location. My family and I spent many hours fixing the foundation, structure, drainage, you name it we've worked on it. Each year we put a little more effort into the place. We recently spent time on the landscape, patio and fire pit. There is always room for improvement but it is getting close.

Obviously, across from the beach is hard to beat. Access to the boat launch and a couple of great restaurants around the corner or access directly from the lake make it a great spot.
