This charming 700 sq. ft. one-bedroom, one-bath tiny home sits on a private ranch and offers a peaceful escape in a beautiful rural setting. Sip your morning coffee while taking in stunning views of the Colorado mountains, watch ducks deer, and birds on the nearby pond, and enjoy the sights of grazing livestock—including our resident llamas, cattle, and our bison pair, Barnaby and Beverly.

Located in the quiet town of Bayfield, you’ll be just 30 minutes from Durango and its airport. Popular attractions are within easy reach:

Purgatory Ski Area – 1 hour
Wolf Creek Ski Area – 1 hr 20 min
Mesa Verde National Park – 1.5 hours
Canyons of the Ancients – 1 hr 20 min
Aztec Ruins National Monument – 45 min
Vallecito Lake – 25 min
Piñon Hills Golf Course - 1 hr

It’s the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience.

Things to Know
The cabin is located about 200 feet from the main residence. You may hear normal ranch activity, including kubota engine, dogs playing or barking.

This is a rural environment. Despite thorough cleaning, insects, wildlife, and muddy or wet ground are possible depending on the season. Please keep windows and doors closed to help prevent wildlife from entering.

Dog-friendly! We allow one dog per stay (no exceptions), with a $25 pet fee. Dogs must not be left unattended and are NOT allowed on furniture. The property is unfenced. Please disclose your pet when booking.

No washer/dryer available.

This cute cabin is like a home away from home. It has everything you need for your stay along with some llamas and wildlife to watch. It’s a perfect place to get away from it all.

Quiet & comfy cabin

The hosts made our stay great! Quiet and beautiful scenery of the mountains. It was a great home base after sightseeing around the area. We enjoyed waking up to the llamas, sheep, cows and of course the deer. I would highly recommend this comfy cabin.

Perfection

This property was such a perfect antidote to our stressful jobs. The rural location was just far enough away from the tourist vibe, but also centrally located so we COULD do the tourist thing. There is very little light pollution, and the stars were magnificent! The hosts have thought about all the little touches that make this a comfortable and cozy get away.

Escaping the Arkansas Humidity in July!

We love the Bayfield/Durango area and found your little cabin online. It was exactly what we had hoped for! It was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed! We hope to return again next year!

Came to Bayfield for my puppy to have surgery. Very beautiful and very relaxing. Pictures don't do it justice. The sunset and sunrise where amazing ❤️

Tiny Home retreat near Bayfield CO

Property was spotless. Such quiet and solitude…exactly what we were looking for. Tastefully furnished…felt like home. Llamas were fun to watch. Views of La Platas to the North expansive and wonderful. Mattress was very nice. So much better than any hotel. Thanks Veronica

20th Wedding Anniversary

Granted our stay was short and we were out and about. However, we were very happy with the peace and solitude of a rural cabin. We slept so well in the comfy bed and happy to have our coffee already made each morning. Cabin/tiny home is cute as a button.

Rural cabin plus sunsets.

Very clean, well maintained and equipped "cabin" in a beautiful rural area a few miles from Bayfield, CO. Not that far from Durango with its fabulous train. Very quiet. Perfect for a couple. Great views of gorgeous sunsets. Enjoyed my stay while visiting my son-in-law, daughter and grand kids.

Peaceful Retreat

This cute tiny home with amazing views of the valley and mountains was perfect for the first part of our Colorado trip. Convenient location for day trips to New Mexico and the Durango area. Easy drive to Durango to ride the Durango-Silverton train. It was nice to come back home to peace and quiet and the mountain views after a busy day of sightseeing. The sunsets were beautiful during our stay! Veronica and her husband were great hosts and easy to communicate with. There was a book with restaurants and things to do in the area with host favorites marked. We tried the local Pine Cone restaurant that is a host favorite and it did not disappoint! The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. When we come back to the Durango area we will stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

Anniversary Get Away

What a hidden gem. This was the perfect little get away spot. It was so quiet and the sounds of the elk buggling as they went through the valley was impressive. Likewise for the stars at night! The views all around were great! Everything you need is available in this quaint little cabin. The bed is very comfortable and the hosts are the best! Thank you for having us, we hope to be back in the future.

Beautiful and Cozy place (with Llamas!)

We truly loved this get away from it all. The extra touched the Hosts provided were appreciated as well. Love to watch the cows and llamas graze in the fields below the cabin. Highly recommend!

Quiet with a view

This 1 bedroom stay was equiped with plenty of windows and views to provide access to birding, deer watching and the mountain views of the San Juan's across pastures with cattle and farms. We were gone to visit church family during the day but could acess the cabin easily from Buck Hwy and County Roads off of State Hwy 160. There is a great full kitchen and bathroom. The bed is firm with a wonderful quilt. There plenty of places to eat at downtown Bayfield.
