From the first moment you see the iconic Casa de las Flores, the color jumps out from the hillside: bright orange, in a sea of white buildings. Casa de Las Flores is a small 3 unit boutique property with ocean views from every room. It stands solid on the outside corner of Calle Amapas, and Calle Santa Barbara, an elbow in the curving cobblestone street. Entering through the ornate iron gate from the street, you immediately feel the flavor of a Casa from a bygone era with its traditional architecture and old world charm.
Once inside the gate you climb the stairs…yes, there are several flights of about 10 steps each, shaded by mature foliage, with a fountain, and sculptures as you go. The entrance to the Casa has an old school iron security gate, in addition to a large wooden front door.
Upon stepping into the casa you are overcome with the feel of Old Mexico from the authentic Mexican tiled full chefs kitchen on your left, to the vibrant and colorful decor of the large living room on your right. Step through the traditional bifolding iron and glass balcony doors to the sound of crashing waves, and a gorgeous ocean view. Enjoy the breeze and cold beverage while sitting out on the balcony watching the beach, and the sea below.
Passing by the kitchen down the hallway you will find a fully equipped laundry room as well as a stunning skylighted atrium complete with a fountain and a reading nook. At the end of the hall is the master bedroom. It features a king size bed, air conditioning, a safe, a ceiling fan, a huge closet, and a fully Mexican tiled bathroom. This room is again full of color and thoughtful touches, and also has glass doors that open onto the balcony with the same beautiful ocean view.
The second bedroom is midway down the hall, and like the master is full of color and authentic Mexican style. It features two twin beds that can be joined to make a king, depending on your needs. It too has glass doors opening to the balcony, a large closet, a ceiling fan, air conditioning, and an authentic Mexican tiled bathroom.
Walking distance, down the hill on the rustic cobblestone streets of Puerto Vallarta are countless restaurants, bars, shops, and the beach. The Zona Romantica area is very lively and well known for it's many discos and clubs. You can hear music from the casa well into the evening, but the clubs are required by law to shut down the loud music at 11:00 pm each night. This one level unit is as practical as it is expertly designed, and may just entice you to want to spend hours ‘just chillin’ in this gorgeous and serene Casa.
Amenities include daily housekeeping 6 days a week, on site laundry, air conditioning in the bedrooms, wi-fi, safe, linens and towels, and drinking water.
