Newly renovated 1946 home 3br/2ba in the heart of the historic west side downtown. New appliances, walls & floors. Private parking in the alley & front. Front porch seating & backyard patio with firepit. Just 5 to 10 minutes from most major tourist attractions: downtown, Market Square, the Alamo, South Town, King William, the Pearl, River Walk, Quarry, Missions, Alamo Dome, San Antonio Zoo, museums and gardens. Convenient to Sea World, Six Flags, La Cantera, The Palladium and Lackland AFB.

The space
The property is at total of 11,500 sq ft with a rock and flagstone backyard patio and firepit for those cool SA nights. The 1260 sq ft home has a cozy yet open floor plan with a Mid-Century Modern feel perfect for up to 8 guests. Full kitchen with granite counter tops and all new appliances (refrigerator, oven, coffee machine and microwave). Living room has a 70" Vizio smart TV loaded with your favorite apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime & more, and a full sized convertible sofa bed suitable for two children or one adult. There is a washer and dryer for guests and there is a dedicated work space with printer, copier, scanner and fax machine.

Beautiful home so close to downtown

We had a wonderful time! Home was lovely and Carlos was very attentive. So convenient to downtown/Riverwalk/Market Square. Perfect Christmas in San Antonio!

BMT Graduation

What a lovely space and neighborhood. Short distance to Lackland AirForce Base, so would be great for families visiting for graduation. Very relaxing stay and the host was always a text message away.

Amazing home away from home!

This property was absolutely amazing for what we needed! Super clean and conveniently located close to everything our family did! River walk, sea world, San Antonio Spurs arena, Alamo, etc. Carlos made our family of 6 feel right at home and went above and beyond to make this a great experience. We will be staying here again when we come back to San Antonio!

Fantastic property owner

The place was nice and clean and smelled good when we got there. The property manager was super nice and when we had an ac issue he was on it immediately and got it taken care and refunded some of my money for the inconvenience. The neighborhood wasn’t the best and the neighbor a little much, but we were in and out at local parks so it was fine. Overall we had a great time in San Antonio.

Sweet little Spot

Excellent communication with host. Thoughtful hospitality with goodies sprinkled throughout. Location is right in the middle of everything we needed, close to AF base, Riverwalk and tons of activities. Neighborhood was eclectic yet quiet. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Great house and owner

The house was nice and roomy. Very clean and great sized yard. The owner is easy to get in contact with. He has everything handled. Very few questions came up. Great sized kitchen and nice bathrooms/showers. Also, pretty close to freeways. Using Waze for directions we never had any problems getting around and everything was within 20-30 minutes.

Cute updated house near downtown

This was a wonderful little place to stay for a few days. Carlos was wonderful and fast at responding. I had to book and extra night and he made it very simple to do so. The house was clean and had everything we needed. My only small complaint was the squeaky ceiling fan in one of the rooms. There werent tvs or anything in the rooms to drown it out sadly. The neighborhood also had a bunch of stray/loose dogs roaming just an fyi to future renters. Overall, my stay was wonderful. I can see myself renting this vrbo again in the future.

Casita Bonita

I know the property name is Casa Azul, but we nicknamed it Casita Bonita. My husband, our toddler, and my elderly parents stayed 8 wonderful days here with our two fur babies. The house and yard is exactly as pictured. Although we dubbed it "casita" this home was PLENTY spacious for 4 adults, a toddler, and 2 dogs for a full week without being on top of each other, we all had plenty of privacy. The house was also ADA accessible which was AMAZING for my elderly parents. The house is conveniently located to grocery stores, and SO MANY fun things to do in downtown SA. Youbare literally minutes away from the River Walk. The neighborhood was also very quiet and we felt very safe and secure. The additional little touches provided were also a nice bonus: towels, coffee, snacks, toiletries, etc. and Mr. Anaya was very responsive when we needed anything. We had such a wonderful time. We will 1000% be staying here for our next trip to SA. We made so many wonderful memories, we can't wait to stay at Casa Azul again! Thank you Mr. Anaya!

Little Blue Gem

We stayed here for labor day weekend and could not have been any more impressed! You can tell the host took time and care to make this place cozy and cute! What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get when renting this gem! The home is BIG! very open layout, great for friends and family! Very clean! There are signs everywhere to make sure guests can use all the amenities and recommendations for nearby stores, food, etc. The entrance is adorable and the backyard is nice and spacious! Unfortunately, we weren't able to use it due to the rain but there's a cute fire pit! Our host was incredibly accommodating and promt! I loved how he checked in with us during the weekend to make sure we were doing alright! Check In is super easy! Also, not too far from downtown! Location is a bit rough when getting there but don't let that stop you! The neighborhood is quiet and family friendly! Not once did we feel unsafe! I would definitely recommend this gem and stay here again! You won't regret it!

Clean and Cozy

The house was beautiful. It was completely redone. The yard was huge. There was a lovely fire pit with extra firewood and it was all ready to go, meaning the wood was inside just waiting to be lit. The house was super clean. We needed a key and the owner showed up immediately to help. He also helped me with some special needs during our stay. He was most gracious. It fit the 8 of us comfortably. We made several meals and washed clothes. The area surrounding our VRBO was not as nice as our place. However it’s is centrally located.

Family Thanksgiving

We enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful time with family and were able to cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner. If we visit San Antonio again we will definitely stay here.

Perfect for BMT graduation!

This was a great location for the BMT graduation of our Airman! The neighborhood was quiet and close to Lackland AFB. The house was perfect for our group of 6. Very roomy, comfortable and clean. The host was very accommodating. Had a great stay.

Great Stay at Casa Azul

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at the rental property. My husband and I are in the process of moving from TN to TX and we needed someplace to stay for a week until we could move into our home in Alamo Ranch. Our son and my husband’s sister helped us make the drive and the house was perfect for the four of us and our dog. The house was very comfortable and Carlos was very helpful and accommodating in providing everything we needed. I would recommend Carlos and Casa Azul to family and friends and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if ever in need.

Perfect size, perfect area!

Carlos’ place was great! Very close to everything and very comfortable for our group size. Communicating with him was easy and he was super attentive. Will definitely book his place again in the further when staying in SA!

Nice house for family.

We stayed for 3 nights. The house is so cute and updated! It was to hot to enjoy the backyard firepit, but it was extremely cute. Very clean and the owner's communicate with you. It was very close to the riverwalk and 20 mins to Sea World. The neighbors were quiet bit the surrounding streets seems sketchy. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

I am originally from San Antonio having lived here most my life but I spent about ten years total having lived in both Austin and Dallas. I am a teacher and I have worked in Dubai, UAE and Jarkarta, Indonesia. This afforded me the unique opportunity to live out of a suitcase and travel all over Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia having covered 45 countries total in just under ten years. My passion is meeting new people, learning about new cultures, religion, history, science and politics.

My family grew up in the downtown area and came from humble beginnings. My mother lived on the Westside with her 10 siblings just around the corner from here. I guess part of me will always be connected to this place. Aside from that it was a wonderful opportunity to fuse my passions for traveling, tourism, and hospitality.

We are the heartbeat of San Antonio located just west of the city center. The diverse socio-economic and cultural diversity lends itself to some of the most authentic cuisine San Antonio has to offer. Though rustic and urban, the neighborhood is colorful and evolving. The best part about it is the central location just 5 to 10 minutes from most major tourist attractions: downtown, Market Square, the Alamo, South Town, King William, the Pearl, River Walk, Quarry, Missions, Alamo Dome, San Antonio Zoo, museums and gardens. Convenient to Sea World, Six Flags, La Cantera, The Palladium and Lackland AFB. I10 and I35 are just 5 minutes away and they will connect you to almost anywhere in town in just 15-30 minutes.
