Lake Michigan House

Welcome to our lakefront home located right on the Lake Michigan, in beautiful countryside in Kewaunee County, 30 minutes away from Door County, south of Algoma town. Great place to spend your bday weekend, Thanksgiving, Holidays and New Years evening. The house is situated on 8.5 acre secluded property, with 500 feet of lake frontage, surrounded by the trees and nature.
The property shares the site and the beach with guest in two other small cabins on the site ( if they are rented during your stay). If you need to rent the entire property to yourself please reach out to us. We offer special discount if house and two cabins are rented together.

Our house has 4 large bedrooms, 3 bedrooms on the main floor and 1 bedroom on the lower level. It has 2 bathrooms one on the main floor, and second on the lower level. It can comfortably sleep 8 people, but they are additional two twin beds if needed. Both floors have direct access to the outside. Kitchen is fully equipped. There are few areas where you can grill and make a camp fire. Pond can be used for recreational fishing, but it has some overgrown areas, so it’s not manicured , rather kept wild. Great view of the Lake Michigan, unobstructed during the winter. Lake access to your private beach ( shared with other two cabins ) from the property, where you can walk miles along the lake (when the water level is low, which changes seasonally and its rather unpredictable). Perfect place for people who appreciate nature, lake view and tranquil environment. Great place to watch the stars during the cloudless day.

Note: the site includes additional two cabins which are rented also rental , each for maximum 4 guests. Both cabins and the House can be rented together. If you are interested please send an inquiry. So you will be sharing the site with potential other guests. The site still allows for a lot of privacy and seclusion. Plenty of parking space on the site plus. EV charge outlet available upon request for additional fee.
Paddle boards available for guests.

You can view the sunrise on the Lake Michigan from the house. Wonderful place to watch the birds from the deck, especially during the spring and fall seasons. The beach is only accessible for the guest from the Hosue and two other cabins on the site ( if they are rented ).

We had an amazing time at this home! The rooms were HUGE - not just the bedrooms, but the common rooms as well. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. The views were incredible and the beach was great with two paddleboards for guest use. Clean and well supplied. I can't think of anything that would have made our stay better, except to have stayed for longer! Perfect spot for our family. We are already thinking of going back next year.

My family really enjoyed the time we spent at the house. I didn't realize that the house was on a bluff, but the view of the lake was fabulous. The house was clean and there was plenty of room in the living room for everyone including my son's dog and our 2 grandkids ages 1 and 3. I'm older with some back issues, so there weren't any comfortable chairs with arm rests to use. Other than that we had a wonderful time at the beach and on the patio.

This property is beautiful! There is a trail down to the beach, which you have pretty much to yourselves. The views of Lake Michigan from the living room, dining room and deck are so pretty! The bedrooms are very large and the beds comfortable. It’s a nice open concept for a big family to gather together. If you sleep in the downstairs bedroom maybe bring an extra blanket if you get cold easily- it stays nice and cool down there even on hot days.Our host was great! She checked in on us after some storms blew through and made the check in/out process easy.We enjoyed spending time down at the lake, where the kids and dogs could run and swim, and it is a short drive up to door county with all the shops, cherry orchards, hikes and sight seeing.One good thing to know is a lot of restaurants in Kewanee and Algoma close early or are not open at all on Sundays and Mondays so plan accordingly for dinner. Would stay here again.

Kewaunee Lake House

The house was beautiful. Exceptionally large bedrooms. Liked the location and the lake view. We had a great bon fire. There were several small maintenance items that should be addressed such as refrigerator water & ice dispenser not working, multiple light bulbs not working, the screws on toilet seat would pull through the seat holder and had to be reattached a couple of times. Air conditoning didn't seem to keep bedrooms cool - needed to run fans. Overall we had a great experience, enjoyed listening to the surf as it reached the shore and would recommend this property.

I really appreciate your feedback. We are not aware of some of light bulbs not working or that the toilet seat was loose. I wish you mentioned it during your stay so we would send someone to fix it. We also brought some ice as our ice maker was never working. I’m sorry but don’t remember ever listing the ice maker in our amenities. Also we looked at the vents and they were short in few bedrooms so it’s possible that this was a reason why AC didn’t work well I really apologize for this inconvenience. We are always trying to do our best to create the best experience for our guests. All the best for you . Monika

Nice home

We really enjoyed out stay in this beautiful house. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of room. There is a nice path down to the beach. Coming up is a bit steep but manageable. It was nice having the paddle boards to use and there is a table with benches and chairs down there. Would recommend two more life jackets be available. The only reason we would give a 9 out of 10 had nothing to do with the inside. The outside grass was very overgrown and listing states there is a pond you are free to fish in. The kids wanted to fish but there was no path to the pond and it was overgrown all the way around making it impossible. We did find a lake nearby but would have preferred to stay on property. We also recommend host get a couple of pizza pans and a pizza cutter and some washcloths. We would love to return again.

I would like to start off by saying this house/property was magnificent!! What we most enjoyed was the beautiful view that we were able to see from the house which was the beach, and overall the nature in itself. The house was very spacious for our family and the cleanliness of it was also great!! The host was also very kind and fast to responded to any of our questions that we had prior and during our stay. We all enjoyed the bonfire!! I would definitely recommend!!
