Rented for our honeymoon. We wanted a quiet and relaxing place on the water and that’s exactly what we got. Can’t wait to rent again! Very clean, airy and was perfect. Host was super nice and always just a message away.

Fantastic, private property with dock access to the bayou, kayaks and every amenity you could want. Hosts were great, responsive and communicated well throughout our stay. We look forward to coming back!!

We had a wonderful family vacation. It was a beautiful and peaceful location. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. And it was a short drive to many other beaches, restaurants and fishing locations.

We had such a fun and relaxing stay at the Bayou! We fished every day from the dock and caught so many fish including a few red drum and a sheepshead! We saw so many different birds, fish, frogs, crabs and even a fox. The home is close enough to everything you'd want to do but secluded enough to see all the stars at night. It was an absolutely beautiful place to stay and we can't wait to go again!!

I love this home, it was exactly as pictured and what I had hoped for.My son was visiting from out of town, and the open floor plan allowed us all to gather, have dinner, play games and watch TV. We enjoyed the dock and fishing, we caught flounder, and saw a variety of fish, including redfish and mullet, and watched a stingray feeding frenzy. If you’re looking for an escape to relax, and enjoy nature, this home has just that.It’s a short drive to St. George Island for beach days, and Apalachicola for shopping and good eats.Thank you Danny and Doreen, my family is Hooked on the Bayou!

Great property! A bald eagle pair greeted us upon arrival…literally. Very isolated house….dark, starry nights, quiet, and we shared the bayou with no one….yes, no one. It was incredible. There are two nearby homes, however, they were never outside. Such a great house and the pier is amazing. We kayaked every day…two fishing kayaks are at the property for use. We rented two additional from a great company. Easy drive into the surrounding towns. Kitchen was well supplied. I did bring a waffle maker and a large “snow crab legs” pot with us. Host communication was easy. My teenager rated it a 10/10 and wants to return. That’s a W!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hooked on the Bayou! Doreen was very easy to communicate with! The house was clean and comfortable and well stocked! I appreciated the hand soaps at all the sinks. The king mattress was also very comfortable. The living room was also comfortable when we were not able to make it to the beach due to weather. The views from the deck and access to the dock were part of our daily routine!

Great for fishermen and serenity seekers!

The hosts, house, and location were great! We enjoyed the fishing, bird watching, games, and solitude. We’ll be visiting again.

Beautiful location and nice house

We really enjoyed the pier/dock, fishing kayaks and just sitting on the deck admiring the view. House was decorated really nice and felt very welcoming. Hosts were excellent.

We came to fish for a few days with family. The home was perfect for my mom and daughter to hang out while we were on the boat. The property was beautiful!

Perfect place for a couple's getaway

This property was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house was well kept and furnished very well. The view out over the marsh was beautiful and the fishing from the dock was great.

Great place to stay!

This was our second time staying at Hooked on the Bayou. We had another lovely stay. The house is very comfortable and clean! We took the kayaks out and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The owner is great to work with. We hope to come back soon!

This home is incredibly cozy and inviting. It was very clean. The area is quiet making it a peaceful stay. The sunrises and sunsets are so beautiful. Doreen was very accommodating and easy to work with. Her communication was excellent and she checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. This is our 3rd stay and we highly recommend this home.

Gulf Views

The house was perfect! Great views! It had everything you need for a perfect stay. Fishing was great! Beach & Town is less than 5 minutes away. I highly recommend this spot for a gulf vacation! Thanks so much for letting us stay!
