We look forward to hosting you, your family and friends. Our goal is to provide you with a comfortable space and guide you on the many things to do in the Poconos all year round. Our small team at HarmonySTR (Natalie, Shantie, Drew and Eric) are looking forward to providing you a 5 Star Stay.

Albrightsville, PA is a small community located in the Pocono Mountains region of northeastern Pennsylvania. There are a variety of reasons why someone might choose to visit Albrightsville, including:

Outdoor recreation: Albrightsville is located in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by forests and mountains. There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and skiing.


Historical sites: The area around Albrightsville is rich in history, with several historical sites nearby. For example, visitors can tour the Asa Packer Mansion in Jim Thorpe, which was the home of a prominent 19th-century businessman.

We had a beautiful stay at the BearHouse! When researching this trip, we selected this property because of the reviews and it looked kid friendly. It did not disappoint! The house was set up perfectly for my family of 4 to enjoy game nights, hot tub and relaxing. Tons of hiking trails near by and we caught 2 trout in the community lake. The house also has no one behind it or beside it which is nice to have it so private. Hosts were responsive and diligent to ensure we had everything we needed. 5/5 recommend!

Property was clean and spacious, except for the bathrooms being a bit small. The hot tub was equally clean and well maintained. We enjoyed looking out back at the deer, including an 8-point buck. Two minor things that would have been nice are a clock in the living room and brighter lighting for us visually challenged old folks, lol. We would stay here again and recommend it 100%.

We have such a great time together in the Bear house, it was crazy clean and full of fun, everyone in the family has something to do, Eric is a great host, very responsive , I recommend this house for anyone wants a weekend getaway .

Excellent Home and Excellent Host

We used this property for a short two night stay. Eric was extremely accommodating and his communication was flawless.The home is very clean, neat and orderly and in a very quiet community. The beds were comfortable and the accommodations were excellent.I highly recommend this home for anybody visiting the Pocono Mountains!We'll stay again if in the area!Dave

Anniversary

My wife and I chose this location to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and we had an amazing time. The hot tub was relaxing and we enjoyed the numerous amount of games that were offered. The hosts are great at communicating and provided many recommendations that we hope to try out on a future visit. The area is very quiet and it was fun watching the deer walkthrough the backyard. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway.

Great getaway

We loved our stay at BearHouse. You can tell the owners care about comfort of their guests. The cabin was clean and inviting. The foosball table and Arcade table were so fun. The hot tub was fantastic. We highly recommend for any trip to the Poconos - great location and very responsive owners.

Bear House

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Bear House. It was clean comfortable, quiet, and worked well for my family and I while we enjoyed the outdoors of the surrounding area.

Perfect location-great for relaxing

My husband and I along with our four legged son came to the area to see the changing colors of the leaves. We loved the location. A few minutes from the highway, couple of miles from Jim Thorpe and close to restaurants and shopping. The house is in the woods. We saw deer and turkey from the front and back of the house. It was quiet too. The house is warm and cozy. We cooked dinners and we had all we needed to do our cooking. I would recommend staying and we will visit again. Thank you for sharing your home and allowing our four legged son. He enjoyed all the smells outside.

Perfect getaway

Just what we needed. Perfectly situated, we were a stones throw from all sorts of family adventures and did it all; hiked, biked, paddled, fished, ate, explored and kicked back. Would return again for sure.

Long Weekend Getaway

Loved our stay and would highly recommend! You can’t control the weather and for 1/2 our stay we had pouring down rain with remnants of Hurricane Debby. We were so thankful we chose this place as we all had fun playing foosball and video games. We also thoroughly enjoyed all the deer in the neighborhood. When the sun came out we enjoyed the beach access to the lake and the other amenities close by. Host and property manager extremely responsive and helpful! Thank you for a great stay!

Quick stay at Bear House

We had a quick visit to area- never been to this part of the Poconos before. The location of the Bear House is great, right in the middle of activities and dining spots. The house is cute, a mix of updates and retro bear cabin theme. Comfortable beds and furniture in the living room. Nice big screen TV and games to hang out at night. We came for a quick rafting trip and this was just right for the price. We didn't really use the hot tub or beach because it rained but having those amenities is a big reason why we picked the property. I'd consider changing the name though - we never saw bear, but were surrounded by deer every morning. My son even scratched one behind the ear.

Perfect for our short family getaway

We were looking for somewhere quiet we could spend a few days unplugging with our 9 and 12 yo girls. This was a perfect getaway that offered a quiet neighborhood that felt private, but also gave access to the community facilities and good hikes within a short drive. As soon as we arrived I knew we had the right place, watching my girls' faces light up as the lay on the top bunk and watched 2 fawns nursing from their mom in the tree line less than 50ft from the window. The simple things like having a foozball table kept us off devices and doing things as a family while we were relaxing in the house, yet on that one rainy afternoon, being able to log into our streaming services to watch a movie together on the large screen was a bonus. Interior was exactly as pictured and was clean, welcoming and functional. We would return. Thank you!

Quiet getaway

The bear house

The bear house was the perfect getaway for our family. The boys got to sled outback while my husband and I sat out there in the hot tub. The house was clean and cozy. The hosts were very easy to get a hold of and responded quickly with any questions I had. Great location as well. Close to food and other things to do.

Anniversary weekend

We had a nice time at the Bear house. We were in the Poconos to celebrate our 18 year wedding anniversary. If we didn’t have to leave for other reasons we would have stayed longer. Very peaceful.

Wonderful stay

Great location, and a beautiful stay. Amazing hiking trails within 10 minutes, and several great restaurants near Lake Harmony. Very impressed with the care put in by the hosts to make sure our stay was pleasant as well as recommending places and checking in sporadically. Overall a wonderful stay! Would very much recommend. My wife and I only stayed for a few days after a extending a 10 day trip to check out the leaves changing on our way home, but definitely will be bringing the family back to stay longer when visiting Big Boulder this year.

Trip to the Poconos

Cottage was clean, area was quiet and we truly enjoyed our stay. It was nice to sit outback and watch the deer. Oh and the beds were comfortable which made us very happy. We hope to go back in the near future.

Quiet and quick stay

We had a great time staying at the BearHouse! The kids enjoyed the arcade games, the foosball table and of course the hot tub! Seeing deers in the yard were awesome as well! We all enjoyed the community amenities.
